Harry Kane jokes ‘Smithy, you’re still ugly’ as Bournemouth’s Adam Smith goes off on stretcher with nasty head injury

HARRY KANE told Adam Smith “don’t worry, you’re still ugly” while the Bournemouth defender was on the floor being treated for a nasty head injury.

The Cherries star, 29, was given oxygen and attended to by medics for EIGHT MINUTES after a sickening clash with Tottenham’s Ben Davies.

Fortunately, Smith was conscious while being treated, and Tottenham striker Kane was on hand to lift his spirits while he was on the deck.

According to onlookers, the England captain said: “Don’t worry Smithy, you’re still ugly.”

Smith clattered into Ben Davies in the second-half of the 0-0 draw, with players frantically signalling for medical help.

The right-back had already taken a thunderous Kane free-kick to the stomach, knocking the stuffing out of him.

But just minutes later a high-speed collision with Davies left him unconscious.

Thankfully, Cherries boss Eddie Howe later said that Smith was sitting up in the dressing room and had a bump on his cheek, but “should be fine”.

Just a week ago, Smith called this “the most difficult time” in his career – with Bournemouth staring relegation in the face.

He claimed: “It’s the most difficult time of my career – and probably everyone in that changing room.

“It’s the losing streak. It’s just so difficult in each game to keep that mentality,

“We just need a bit of luck, I think.”
