Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister Elma releases new ‘Made in England’ jewellery range inspired by mum Dolores Aveiro

CRISTIANO RONALDO’S sister has announced her own ‘Made in England’ jewellery range inspired by their doting mum Dolores Aveiro.

Elma Aveiro says she has called the collection – a collaboration with a London-based jewellery designer – Roya, which is a female name of Persian origin meaning ‘beautiful dream.’

She made her announcement on Instagram, saying: “I was thinking about my mum, who I love so much, and decided to make an exclusive collection of jewellery in collaboration with a jewellery designer.

“All the jewellery is made in England. I decided to name the collection Roya. It means beautiful dream and I dedicate this collection to the most beautiful and marvellous person I know, my mum.”

She added, in an obvious reference to Dolores’ March 3 stroke which led to Cristiano jetting back to Madeira to be by his mum’s hospital bedside: “Mum, you’re the definition of beauty and perfection inside and out.

“Everything I am comes from you and I see in you the best example of a woman who fought for life because she loves life.

“You are truly my Roya.”

Cristiano, who has 214 million Instagram followers and a bulging business portfolio which includes his own clothing range, hotel investments and a hair transplant venture, has not yet given his sister’s new business venture a plug.

Neither has his wife Georgina Rodriguez, who made headlines earlier this year with some of her jewellery including a ring emblazoned with a large sapphire stone reported to be worth nearly £670,000.

But mum Dolores, who has amassed more than two million followers in the short time she has been on social media, gave the range her blessing with an Instagram Live video.

Elma’s partner in the new venture is London-based Nadia Ahmed.

Designer Nadia confirmed: “We are in partnership together.

“The jewellery will be available in Madeira and London to start with and we will be reaching out to other countries after the current coronavirus situation ends.”

“The brand is ElmaXNadia and the collection is called Noya.

“We plan to put the jewellery into places like boutiques and hotels but at the moment the plans are on standby to a certain extent because of the situation with coronavirus.”
