But it’s a potential clash between Premier League champions Liverpool and FA Cup winners Arsenal which is sure to excite fans the most.

Mikel Arteta got the better of Jurgen Klopp in the Community Shield final last month.

And the pair will renew acquaintances if Liverpool beat Lincoln City and Arsenal get the better of Leicester in the third round.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho could unleash Gareth Bale against Frank Lampard’s new and improved Chelsea at Tottenham’s flashy arena.

Spurs must first get past Leyton Orient while Chelsea host Barnsley.

Elsewhere, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Red Devils will face one of Preston or Brighton if they first beat Luton away.
