According Sky Sports reporter Bryan Swanson, plans are in place to host the matches from August 12 to August 23.

Lisbon – where the 2014 final between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid was played – has been backed as the host city by the Portuguese FA.

It is understood that the Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played over just one leg this year.

Goal claim that the remaining last-16 fixtures will be played in Barcelona and Turin.

The quarter-finals will be played between August 12 and 15, while the semi-finals will be played on August 18 and 19.

But there has been no further information released regarding the plans for the Europa League.

Both competitions were put on hold in March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has been reported that the Executive Committees will have a meeting this week to confirm their plans.

Neymar has already told his pals he wants to win the Champions League with PSG then return to former club Barcelona.

But Atletico Madrid’s president has claimed his side should be crowned the winners if the season is cut short – because they knocked out holders Liverpool.
