GERMANY boss Joachim Low claims Antonio Rudiger ‘tried everything to leave Chelsea’ before deadline day.
The centre-back, 27, fears for his place at next summer’s European Championship finals.

But Low adds Rudiger will ‘try again [to leave] in winter’.
The Germany boss explained: “I was in constant contact with Rudiger, he was keeping me in the loop.
“He had three or four options over the weekend but unfortunately nothing materialised – he can try again in the winter.
“I’ve been walking the path with him over the past few years and we’ve had a dialogue since the beginning.
“He can put in a great performance even without a few weeks of match practice.
“He has established himself as a top international player. In terms of athleticism, dynamism and tough duels, he maintains his top level for a few weeks even without match practice.
“His development over the past four or five years has been great.
“He tried everything to leave Chelsea because the European Championship is very important to him.
“I think he’ll try to leave again in the winter. He’s doing everything he can to stay in his best form.”
The FA Cup and Europa League winner was sensationally axed by Frank Lampard at the start of the season.
Thiago Silva’s arrival on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain saw Rudiger become Chelsea’s FIFTH-choice centre half.
Rudiger apparently had a number of options on the table but was unable to make any come to fruition.
Tottenham were keen on loaning him from their London rivals.
However, a move to Jose Mourinho’s side collapsed with Rudiger fearing a backlash from Chelsea supporters.
SunSport also exclusively revealed West Ham were keen on signing Rudiger following Chelsea’s interest in Declan Rice.
And there was also believed to be an approach from Italian outfit AC Milan.
However, deadline day came and went without Rudiger moving on.
Under Low, he knows he is safe in the Germany squad after establishing himself as a dependable regular.
But Rudiger will still seek to finalise a move away from Stamford Bridge when the transfer window reopens in the new year.
