Antoine Griezmann shows off daring new haircut before missing absolute sitter in Barcelona’s clash against Real Sociedad

ANTOINE GRIEZMANN won’t be able to brush this off easily – as the Barcelona striker wasted a gold-plaited opportunity that was just as jaw-dropping as his new hairstyle.

The Barcelona frontman unveiled long braids before kick-off – but will be set for a parting (from the Spanish giants) if he keeps missing such sitters as in this 2-1 win that deposed LaLiga leaders Real Sociedad.

Barca’s comeback victory lifted Ronald Koeman’s under-fire superstars from eighth to fifth.

But Griezmann had no excuses other than perhaps a bad hair play when he slid the ball straight at Sociedad keeper Alex Remiro from three yards – for which he was mocked on social media.

Barca, though, held on to sink Spain’s surprise package this season.

Brazilian striker Willian Jose prodded Socided in front on 27 minutes.

But Spain left-back Jordi Alba soon drilled a clinical leveller.

And just before the break VAR intervened to give Barcelona their clincher.

Frenkie de Jong bundled in Alba’s deflected cross from near the penalty spot.

And the Dutch midfielder was celebrating once video replays overturned the initial offside verdict.

Griezmann even hit the bar from a tight angle after the interval – before his astonishing miss.

But fortunately for the France ace, Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s double save denied Jose and Alexander Isak as Sociedad failed to earn an incredible seventh successive draw.

Sociedad are now sandwiched between leaders Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, all on 26 points.

Barca are six points adrift of that trio but have two games in hand on Sociedad.
