Watch devastating moment Jake Paul destroys Gib with first-round combo and comes head-to-head with KSI to set up fight

JAKE PAUL came head-to-head with YouTube rival KSI after the American dominated AnEsonGib.

Jake – two months after watching brother Logan lose to KSI on points – took out his frustration on the Brit’s friend Gib – dropping him twice before the fight was waved off.

After the bout KSI, 26, stormed into the ring and confronted the man who had just made his best friend and internet meme.

Jake said: “You’ve seen your best friend planted on his a** over there.”

KSI replied: “You’re worse than your bro. You’re going to be easier.”

To which Jake responded: “You had to beat my bro by a bad call. You’re next. Let’s make it happen.”

KSI beat Logan by split-decision in November at the Staples Center in Los Angeles after the 24-year-old social media star was docked two points for punching and holding as well as striking a floored opponent.

But Jake – who stopped KSI’s brother ‘Deji’ in an exhibition bout in 2018 – left it out of the judges hands in Miami as he shared the card with champions Demetrius Andrade, Tevin Farmer and JoJo Diaz.

Gib came out firing but did so in an unconventional style and in the opening stages somehow put himself on his heels and reeling backwards after squatting down too low.

The Brit’s balance issues and tendency to come forward too square made it easy for Jake, somehow fighting at cruiserweight, to land clean.

Gib received an eight-count after his opponent landed a good right hand that forced him to touch the canvas with his glove.

The 22-year-old American – under the guidance of boxing legend Shane Mosley – boasted a pretty commendable jab and after a left hook caught Gib with only the ropes keeping him up again the ref counted.

It was finally over with just 40 seconds left on the clock after Jake let go a right hand following a smart range finding jab forcing Gib again to momentarily touch the floor with his glove but by then the ref had seen enough.

And the trend of YouTube boxing, competing as professionals, will remain with KSI and Jake both looking to avenge their brothers defeats.
