Tyson Fury shows off Ring Magazine and WBC belts and reveals they are perfect pick-me-up for when he’s ‘feeling down’

TYSON FURY says his WBC heavyweight belt and Ring Magazine titles are the perfect pick-me-ups for when he is “feeling down”.

The Gypsy King, 31, has overcome depression, thoughts of killing himself and drug addiction to reach the top of the boxing world once again.

But in a candid moment with his 1.6million Twitter followers, he revealed the important part his belts play even now.

Fury shared a video showing off his achievements and said: “So every time I feel a little bit down I carry my belts with me.

“Two Ring Magazine belts – I’m the third person in history to do that – and there’s the WBC, just to remind myself how far I’ve come and who I am and what I’ve done.

“I take them in the ring with me, I sit them there and while I’m training I look down at them.”

Fury has previously said that after getting the fame he had craved by taking Wladimir Klitschko’s heavyweight crown in 2015, he felt empty and depressed.

The 6ft 9in boxing magician put on a huge amount of weight, started boozing and confessed to bingeing on cocaine.

At his lowest point he attempted to drive his Ferrari into a motorway bridge — only to stop at the last minute as he thought about his five children.

He was suspended from boxing for failing a drugs test and said he had a psychological breakdown.

But with a new fitness regime, the help of loyal wife Paris and a show-stopping win over Deontay Wilder last February, Fury is back where he belongs.

A trilogy fight against the Bronze Bomber – whose reasons for defeat were blasted by Tyson’s dad John – is set for either the end of this year or start of 2021.

And Fury has agreed a two-fight deal with Anthony Joshua, which looks set to determine the unified heavyweight champ.
