Anthony Joshua has ‘huge’ offer to fight Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia in all-British heavyweight unification showdown

ANTHONY JOSHUA’S team received a “huge offer” to fight Tyson Fury – but it has to be in Saudi Arabia.

Powerbrokers in the Middle East are desperate to get the Battle of the Brits held in the kingdom.

But with Fury contracted to Top Rank, they might demand it takes place in the USA.

The last four of Fury’s fights were in Las Vegas.

However, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren has admitted it could be staged in the Middle East.

He said: “In a dreamscape it should be in London but they’re professional athletes. These guys have short careers, they go where the money is.

“I don’t know where it’s going to take place. Wherever the most money comes from. It’s the boxers who get in the ring and they’ll make the choices.”

Joshua’s last contest, the win over Andy Ruiz Jr, was held in Saudi Arabia.

AJ’s promoter Eddie Hearn revealed that an offer was on the table to fight the winner of Fury and Deontay Wilder BEFORE the clash in Las Vegas, which the Gypsy King won with a thrilling seventh-round technical knockout.

Hearn said: “We have a huge site offer in place for that fight to take place.

“A big option. We have a partnership out there in Saudi Arabia.

“They put the money up for the Andy Ruiz fight. Everything they promised, they delivered.

“They want this fight bad and when they’ve got that kind of attitude and mentality, it’s going to be difficult to beat.”

AJ is set to fight Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.

Hearn also earlier indicated Joshua may cancel the Pulev fight – vacating his belts – with a money-spinning Fury clash on the horizon.

He said: “He may end up having to let the Pulev fight go, if he won’t fight in the places that we’d like him to fight and that is in the UK.

“We’re looking at dates at the end of May to the beginning of June for the Pulev fight. Everywhere is in play. Emirates Stadium, Tottenham Hotspur, The Olympic Stadium, we’ve also reached out to Twickenham as well.”
