California State Athletic Commission have sanctioned the bout and consistently insisted it is nothing more than a glorified sparring session.

And both ex-heavyweight champion have been warned against trying to win by KO.

But Tyson, 54, and Jones, 51, distanced themselves from this stance, promising all action.

And they could be free to do so, according to Triller – who paid around £40million to secure the broadcast right.

They released a statement alongside their official betting partner DraftKings.

It read: The bouts will all be sanctioned by CSAC and scored by the World Boxing Athletic Commission, who will additionally choose a winner based on pro-fighting rules.

“A knockout will also be considered a win.”

It comes after bookies suspended betting over the confusion on the rules and whether a winner would be declared.

The WBC, who will put a belt on the line, have hired three former fighters to score the bout.

But Christy Martin, Vinny Pazienza and Chad Dawson will not be ringside, instead watching on remotely.

Even Tyson – who fights for the first time in 15 years – admitted he is not sure what the rules will permit on fight night.

He told ESPN: “I’m coming to entertain the audience.

“Listen, my anticipation is I’m the winner. So, I don’t know anything about the rules, I’ll find out the day of the fight.

“I don’t want to break any rules of course. It’s going to be what it’s going to be.

“I know I’m in a fight, and that’s all I need to know.”
