Dusan Vlahovic’s agent ‘not even considering Arsenal and Tottenham transfer offers’ as he closes in on Juventus move

DUSAN VLAHOVIC’S agent is reportedly ‘not even considering Arsenal and Tottenham’s transfer offers’ as the star closes in on a move to Juventus.

The Serbian forward was the No1 target for Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, who flew to America to meet with owner Stan Kroenke last night, this month.

Spurs manager Antonio Conte is also believed to have identified the 21-year-old Fiorentina ace as the man to help take some of the scoring load off Harry Kane’s shoulders.

Vlahovic only has 18 months remaining on his contract and has refused to sign an extension.

Fiorentina slapped a £58.8million price tag on his head as they aim to maximise their profit on the goalscorer.

Now both of the North London rivals look set to miss out on Vlahovic with Juventus to offer £50.4m to La Viola.

And Sky Italy claims they are now in talks with the attacker over a five-year deal, with the player’s agent not considering any offers from Arsenal or Spurs.

Fiorentina’s sporting director, Daniele Prade, recently said: “It’s an important valuation, over €70m as a lump sum with no swap deals and no payment structures. The president has imposed it on us.

FREE BETS: GET OVER £2,000 IN NEW CUSTOMER DEALS

“All of our doors are open in this situation, because we need to understand what the players and his agents really want to do.

“We received some important offers for him. Offers that were very substantial but we never got any feedback from his agents.

“On our side, there has always been great transparency. I refer to what Joe Barone [Fiorentina’s chief executive] said, all our doors are open.

“We’re ready to sit down at a table and talk. We made various important offers for a contract extension, and we also have had a few offers to sell him in a strong way.

“I’m saying this because our club makes €75m a year and we can’t afford to lose a valuable asset for free.

“They were all valid and satisfactory offers, with payment methods that suited us. We couldn’t go ahead with the deal because there was never any contact with the player’s agents.”

Arteta has admitted there is a ‘cloud’ hanging over Arsenal’s forward options after skipper Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was axed for disciplinary reasons and both Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah entering the final six months of their contracts.

He has also added that the Gunners are working hard on new additions and that they ‘are open’ to a big signing as long as it’s financially viable.

Vlahovic, who has seven goals in 14 games for his country, joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018.

He got 21 last season for the Italian club and has continued that red-hot form by scoring 20 in 24 matches so far in the current campaign.

Italian sources also say Vlahovic’s preference is to join a side competing in the Champions League – something the Gunners and Spurs cannot offer at the moment and may struggle to next term.
