GONZALO HIGUAIN is being eyed for a summer switch to Athletic Bilbao once his current deal with Juventus expires, according to reports.
Marca claim the LaLiga side, who have a policy of only recruiting players from the Basque region, have found a loophole to allow them to make a move for the striker.

The 32-year-old has 75 caps for Argentina, though he has dual nationality with France as he was born in Brest, where his father Jorge was playing football at the time.
Higuain’s grandad, however, is of Basque-French origin, before the family emigrated to Argentina, which could pave the way for him to return to La Liga with Bilbao.
The former Chelsea misfit has struggled for playing time at Juventus following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo, being farmed out on loan in successive seasons to AC Milan and Stamford Bridge.
He had looked to be on his way out of the club for good last season before a switch to Roma broke down.
Higuain has since been linked with moves to Major League Soccer, as well as a potentially lucrative switch to the Chinese Super League.
His older brother Federico, 35, has recently announced that he has agreed a deal to join Wayne Rooney’s former side DC United.
Yet Gonzalo may be tempted back to LaLiga, where he first became a household name after bursting onto the scene at Real Madrid.
During his time at Los Blancos, the veteran striker bagged 122 goals and notched 56 assists in 264 games before he was sold to Napoli.
Although his current form is a far cry from those numbers, as he only found the back of the net on five occasions in 22 Serie A matches this season.
