I think there will be more interest and I truly believe it is one of the best wedding venues in the country and I believe it will do well.”However, one local resident told The Sun: “I’m also worried it might lead to too much traffic. “It is a concern because lots of families have more than one car and we have parking problems already.”It’s an odd place to build such an extravagant wedding venue for hundreds of guests.”Another resident said she had no choice but to keep her windows closed last Saturday to shut out the noise.Rampant fly-tipping – with Bolton hitting a record number of incidents in 2023 – around the hall left Khan’s wife furious during the latter stages of the build.Speaking to The Bolton News in May 2023, she said: “We are trying to make Bolton a better place. “We’re building a huge wedding hall and have spent £15m on it.”Amir could have chosen any place, but he chose Bolton because it’s his hometown.”We’re building a nice site so it’s really sad to see that people are still leaving junk and things around and every time we pick it up and clean the area, the same thing happens again.”So, we’re trying to do something for the community and people are not helping.
