And the 27-year-old Ivory Coast ace is not short of suitors, according to L’Equipe.

Fofana previously spent time in England with Manchester City’s academy as a youngster and enjoyed a loan spell with Fulham.
He then headed to France for another loan stint at Bastia before leaving the Etihad permanently for Udinese in 2016 after failing to make the breakthrough with the Cityzens.
The ace has gone on to shine since and was named in the Ligue 1 team of the year last season.
He has scored 12 goals and produced six assists in his 73 appearances at Lens.

Now Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is hoping to add Fofana to his midfield ranks following the recent signing of Fabio Vieira from Porto.
Lens are facing up to the prospect of losing their star man but they are not prepared to sell him on the cheap.
They are aware of the huge interest in Fofana and are allegedly demanding a fee of between €30-40m for him.
Lens will also have to pay 20 per cent of any transfer fee to his former club Udinese as part of the deal that brought him to them two years ago.
However, both Arsenal and Newcastle could end up disappointed in their pursuit of Fofana.
The same report says that Paris Saint-Germain are also keen.
And that the player himself would prefer to stay in France rather than move to England. More

And they have turned their interest into a formal approach for De Ligt, but according to Tuttosport, it was swiftly knocked back by the Old Lady.
It has been said that a £34m proposal was sent to the Serie A giants, with Werner or Pulisic to be included in the deal.

De Ligt still has two years left to run on his deal at the Allianz Stadium, but he has allegedly told the club he intends to leave after putting in a transfer request.
And he fuelled speculation of a possible exit earlier this month after admitting he may reject a new contract offer from Juve.
Speaking to Dutch outlet NOS, he remarked: “There are talks ongoing between me and Juventus.
“Once the right moment arrives, I will decide to extend or to look further.”
As well as De Ligt, Chelsea are also still in the race to sign Sevilla ace Jules Kounde, but know they face competition from Barcelona. More

“What I can tell you is that LAFC and Gareth are hoping that this is a long-term partnership and step for Gareth and his family.

“It was never about six months just for the World Cup. We were always talking about longer term than that. That was very clear from Gareth and his representative.
“Obviously we expect him to be a top, top player for us and in this league, but we will do so sensibly.
“When Gareth is looking at what he needs to do, his priority will be at LAFC, we are absolutely sure of that, but we’re not naive to the fact that he, like some other players of ours, have a World Cup on the horizon.”
Bale is set to arrive in America over the coming weeks and is expected to make his debut for them in the derby clash with LA Galaxy on July 8.

Thorrington explained: “We don’t have a firm date. Our window opens in early July and that will be the first time we can register him.
“We still have to go through immigration paperwork and things like that but we are hopeful that in the next week to 10 days we’ll be able to take care of that for him and his family, to welcome them to Los Angeles and in order for him to start to get up to speed with the group and get his fitness up.
“The first game he would be potentially available for would be the game we have here on July 8.”
Bale is LAFC’s second big signing this summer following the arrival of Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini from Juventus.
The ex-Tottenham man will be classed as a regular squad member rather than as a designated player outside the salary cap.
And Thorrington has no doubts that his motives are not money-motivated.
He added: “You don’t win five Champions League trophies, you’re not the most valuable player of recent times, if you don’t have that hunger.
“We did our due diligence and I’m really excited about what this change of scene will mean for Gareth and his ability to focus on playing.
“If Gareth was making this decision with a financial motive, he wouldn’t be in MLS. I think what he saw in LAFC is a unique opportunity to make a real impact.” More

    Don’t look back
Donny van de Beek has returned to training with Manchester United following his short-term loan with Everton.
Since joining the Red Devils in August 2020 the midfielder, 25, has been limited to 50 appearances across all competitions.
He was introduced to the squad by former United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, but quickly fell out-of-favour and struggled to break into the starting line-up.
As a result he was loaned out to Everton in January until the end of the 2021-22 season.
However, new boss Erik ten Hag has reassured Van de Beek that he WILL have a place in the squad next season.
The Dutch duo enjoyed a successful spell together at Ajax before the midfielder left for Old Trafford two years ago.

Elsewhere, Cristiano Ronaldo has been told he will not be sold by United this summer.

    Fulham in Pereira bid
The Cottagers have reportedly launched an £11million bid for Manchester United misfit Andreas Pereira.
The Mail claims the Brazilian is not in Erik ten Hag’s plans for next season.
And United are ready to sell Pereira for a cut-price fee this summer.
The versatile midfielder, 26, has been on loan at Flamengo for the last year.
But the Samba giants are hesitant about making Pereira’s deal permanent after just seven goals in 52 games.
And that has opened the door for Fulham to pounce.
    Barca in shock Maguire bid
Manchester United have rejected Barcelona’s attempt to land Harry Maguire as part of a deal to bring Frenkie de Jong to Old Trafford, SunSport’s Martin Blackburn exclusively reveals.
The Spanish club were interested in taking the England centre-back to the Nou Camp this summer.
But United were not willing to part with their £80 million defender – with new boss Erik Ten Hag keen to work with him.
Instead, De Jong is set to move to Old Trafford in a straight cash deal with Barca holding out for £69million.
Until recently the two clubs were a long way apart but talks have progressed over the weekend and there is hope a compromise can be reached.
    Ronaldo and Georgina date night
Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez could not keep their hands off each other on a night out in Ibiza.
The pair are currently soaking up the sun on a luxury holiday in the Mediterranean.
And Manchester United star Ronaldo looked enraptured by his stunning partner as she wore a daring strapless dress during their date.
Ronnie and Georgina danced, hugged and kissed at El Lio nightclub and cabaret.
At one stage the pair were spotted with their arms tightly wrapped around each other as the music blared.
And they were snapped leaving the swanky do with several friends.

    Cristiano Ronaldo transfer update
Ronaldo has been told he will not be sold by Manchester United this summer, writes SunSport’s Martin Blackburn.
But new boss Erik Ten Hag must now convince the Portuguese superstar that he can compile a team to match his ambitions.
Ronaldo is understood to be frustrated by the lack of transfer action.
And both Chelsea and Bayern Munich have been alerted to the possibility he would be open to a move away from Old Trafford before the window closes.
His former club Sporting Lisbon also sounded out Ronaldo’s camp over a return to Portugal.
But United are adamant their club legend is going nowhere – and they are looking forward to him playing for them in the 2022/3 campaign.
    Christian Eriksen transfer update
Manchester United target Christian Eriksen is set to make a decision over his future in the coming hours, according to reports.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims the attacking midfielder is set to sit down with his agent and choose his next club.
A meeting is set to take place in the next few hours or days.
Reports suggest many offers are on the table for Eriksen with Brentford still hopeful and Man Utd interested, although Tottenham have moved on to other targets.
    Man Utd fans concerned
Manchester United are among the first Premier League clubs to return to pre-season training on Monday.
And maybe that is because they have more work to do than any of their rivals, writes SunSport’s Martin Blackburn.
New boss Erik ten Hag is not letting the grass grow under his feet — literally — having ordered the turf to be trimmed at their Carrington HQ.
But the same cannot be said of those behind the scenes, with a breakthrough in the summer transfer market yet to come five weeks after last season ended.
The sight of 15 or so first-team players checking back in for the 2022-23 campaign after their holidays is unlikely to whet the appetite of disgruntled supporters.
After all, it is a team who ended the last one in a distant sixth place — minus a few notable departures.
    Got your Gvard up
Tottenham have opened talks to sign RB Leipzig defender and Man United target Josko Gvardiol, according to reports.
The 20-year-old enjoyed a good debut season with the German club following his £17million transfer from Dinamo Zagreb last summer.
According to Nabil Djellit, his strong season has caught the attention of Tottenham, who have opened talks over a potential transfer.
The club are desperate to sign a new centre-back, having been linked with Inter Milan duo Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar.
    Hammers after United target
West Ham have made contact with Villarreal over signing Arnaut Danjuma.
The Dutch attacker, 25, has had a stellar season in both La Liga and Europe having moved from then-relegated Bournemouth last summer.
And the Hammers, who have been linked with him before, appear keen to see if a deal can be done to bring Danjuma back to the Premier League.
However, they face competition from some of Europe’s top clubs.
Manchester United are rumoured to be keen on him as are Liverpool and Newcastle.
Danjuma is believed to have a release clause of £45million, having left the Cherries for £20m.
West Ham are reportedly hoping to seal a deal for less than the release clause figure.
    She’s Dean Henderson’s keeper
Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson married his stunning fiancee in a romantic Rome wedding with singer Lewis Capaldi performing for the guests.
The 25-year-old is set for a busy summer with a move to Nottingham Forest expected to go through.
But before returning to England to sort out his future at club level, Henderson jetted off to Rome to marry his fiancee.
Henderson looked smart in his tux with shades, while his fiance wore a floral white dress.
The couple were all smiles as they were surrounded by their loved ones.
Henderson’s first dance with his wife was followed by a Capaldi performance.
Red Devils in De Jong talks
Manchester United remain in “direct contact” with Barcelona regarding a move for Frenkie de Jong, according to reports.
The Red Devils are eager to reunite the midfielder with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are discussing a guaranteed fee of around £55million, after an initial offer of £51.6m plus add-ons was turned down.
    Harry’s honeymoon with Fern
Harry Maguire has been given special permission to jet off on his honeymoon by new Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag.
England star Maguire got hitched to childhood sweetheart Fern Hawkins in a stunning £250,000 ceremony at a French chapel yesterday.
The Red Devils captain, 29, called it “a day I’ll never forget.”
And new wife Fern added: “I married the love of my life.”
The lovebirds will now jet off to the Amalfi Coast in Italy on Monday.
That’s after United boss Ten Hag gave Maguire his blessing for a special break.
Pre-season at Carrington is set to begin tomorrow, with Ten Hag already in town.
And a large group of players including Marcus Rashford, David De Gea and Jadon Sancho are all expected to arrive.
But Maguire has been given the coming week off to relax with Fern and toast their marriage.
    Not your Pal anymore
Fulham are hopeful of confirming the signing of former Man United target Joao Palhinha in the next 72 hours, writes SunSport’s Jordan Davies.
After hijacking Wolves’ approach for the 26-year-old Sporting Lisbon midfielder, the Cottagers want to get a deal over the line as quickly as possible.
And SunSport understands that Palhinha will return from his holiday ton Monday and head straight to west London with a view to completing the switch on a five-year deal.
This transfer saga began at the beginning of this month with Wolves confident they would nab Palhinha for around £20m after advanced talks.
However, Palhinha’s involvement in the Nations League with Portugal – as well as Wolves’ failing attempts to sell Ruben Neves – saw the move stall.
Fulham pounced, with boss Marco Silva speaking with Palhinha directly on the phone to convince him to snub Molineux for Craven Cottage.
    Tuchel on Cristiano Ronaldo
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has previously gushed over reported target Cristiano Ronaldo.
Upon the Portuguese’s return to Manchester United last year, Tuchel said: “I don’t think it’s good if he plays for any of our rivals!
“If he ends up in the Premier League, it’s good for the Premier League and shows how competitive and how difficult this league is.
“At the same time it will make life harder for us. I’m hearing it now for the first time so let’s wait and see what happens.”
    More on Neymar
Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle are the only transfer options for Neymar this summer.
That’s as the Brazilian reportedly considers his future after being left fuming with Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
RMC Sport claims Neymar is thinking of leaving the French capital this summer, five years after his world record £200million move from Barcelona.
It’s reckoned he has just three viable destinations due to his £600,000-a-week wages.
Premier League trio United, Chelsea and Newcastle are the only teams with the money for a transfer.
Juventus have also been linked but the Brazilian is beyond their pay grade.
Neymar would be open to an English switch after turning 30 in February.
    Ten Hag budget plans
Erik ten Hag starts work on Monday facing an Old Trafford cash squeeze that threatens to hamper his re-building plans, exclusively writes SunSport’s Ken Lawrence.
The Dutchman still hopes to team up again with Frenkie de Jong as early as this week.
Manchester United believe they are now closing in on a £67million deal with Barcelona for the midfielder who spent 18 months working under Ten Hag’s former club Ajax.
But while CEO Richard Arnold told fans in a recent pub meeting that money was “not a consideration” in this summer’s transfer market, he will still not provide Ten Hag with an open cheque book.
    Ronaldo is not for sale
Manchester United have insisted that Cristiano Ronaldo is not for sale.
Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes has been searching for a new club for the attacker.
But Bayern Munich have ruled themselves out of the hunt for him,
Ronaldo likes new boss Erik ten Hag, but wants to see the club do more in the transfer market.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano who made the claims on his YouTube channel.
    Neymar could make Prem switch
PSG star Neymar is being tipped to make a move to the Premier League next season.
That’s because only Man United, Chelsea, and Newcastel can afford to buy the Brazilian, according to RMC.
However, a move to the Prem could prove tricky as Neymar previously vowed to never join a club in the English top tier.
    Ten Hag’s training ground rules
Erik ten Hag is ordering Manchester United ground staff to cut the grass to EXACTLY 15mm and making the players eat together.
The Carrington training ground staff will be giving the pitch a trim to encourage slick passing.
New boss Ten Hag, 52, doesn’t believe in hard fitness drills to kick off the campaign but will be doing ball work with the squad to work on technique.
The Mirror report that Ten Hag is “all about training the brain”.
The first two days of pre-season will involve tests on the players’ fitness before moving to double sessions with the football.
And that means Old Trafford superstars “will run with the ball rather than just being asked to sprint up sand dunes”.
    Man United target Ajax quartet
Man United are reportedly targeting FOUR of Erik ten Hag’s former Ajax stars after adding Nicolas Tagliafico to the shortlist.
The Red Devils are looking to turn their transfer woes around by chasing the 29-year-old Argentine.
Ten Hag won the Eredivisie title with the Amsterdam outfit last season.
Antony, Lisandro Martinez and Jurrien Timber have all been targeted as part of his summer rebuild.
And now the Daily Mail report that Man Utd “have interest” in left-back Tagliafico.
    Maguire’s wife shows off dress
Harry Maguire new wife Fern Hawkins has shown off her stunning wedding dress on social media where she fawned over the Manchester United defender.
The loved-up couple tied the knot at the Chateau de Varennes in the South of France on Saturday.
Maguire, 29, instantly took to social media where he shared a picture of the pair’s first kiss as man and wife.
He captioned the post: “25.06.22. A day I’ll never forget.”
And now his partner Fern has posted a picture from their special day where she gave her 92,000 Instagram followers a first look at her dress.
Walking hand in hand, she captioned the image: “25.06.2022. I married the love of my life.”

    Lingard to West Ham ‘complete’
Jesse Lingard is on the brink of returning to West Ham on a permanent basis.
Lingard spent the first half of last season on loan with the Hammers before returning to United.
But he’s now set to rejoin West Ham after becoming surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
And the winger’s move to East London will be completed next week, according to the Daily Mail.
    Inter ‘make push for Bremer’
Inter Milan will reportedly meet with Torino next week in order to try and buy in demand defender Gleison Bremer.
Bremer’s been courted by several Prem sides including Chelsea, Man United, Tottenham, and Arsenal.
However, Inter are moving ahead to try and seal his signature, according to Tuttosport.
The publication claims Inter CEO Beppe Marotta is set to jet to Torino to negotiate with their Serie A counterparts over Bremer.
    Roy Keane gets booed
Roy Keane was subject to a chorus of boos when cheering on his hometown side Cork on the weekend.
Keane returned to Cork to watch their match against Dublin.
But the former Red Devils midfielder was booed when he appeared on the big screen in front of 50,000 fans.
However, Keane took the jibes well as he was pictured smiling amid the racous jeers.
    Dembele ‘unhappy with Chelsea offer’
Ousmane Demebele is reportedly unhappy with Chelsea’s contract offer.
And he’s considering remaining at Barcelona as a result of the Blues’ underwhelming proposition.
That’s according to Sport, who claim Chelsea’s simultaneous pursuit of Raheem Sterling has hampered the amount they could offer Dembele.
This could be good news for Man United who were previously linked with the winger.
    Leeds ‘want Raphinha bidding war’
Leeds are looking to spark a bidding war for Raphinha, according to reports.
Arsenal had an initial bid for the midfielder turned down last week,
And football reporter Ryan Taylor reckons the Whites rejected Arsenal’s offer to whip up interest in the Brazilian.
He told Give Me Sport: “When I spoke to a contact on Monday to try and find out about the interest, I was told that Arsenal are interested but that the kind of feeling is Leeds are looking to encourage a bidding war.
“And Deco is also in the mix in driving up that sort of speculation. Arsenal are keen, but as of Monday, there was no significant developments. Obviously, that changed with the bid on Tuesday.”
Man United are also interested in Raphinha.
