    REACTION FROM NAGLESMANN
    The Leipzig boss told Sky:
“We were way too passive defending for the first goal, as during the week. We were also late dealing with a quick thrown in, which is something we talked about during the week.

“It wasn’t our best game but we still managed to score four times. Today I don’t have a key in my hand, just the trophy in my hand. ”

Sancho ‘pushing for Man Utd transfer ahead of Euro 2020’, Haaland LATEST, Heaton ‘set to join’, Liverpool build up

JADON SANCHO remains Manchester United’s top summer transfer target, according to Gary Neville. And reports suggest that the England star is pushing for a £78m move, which could be completed before Euro 2020.
Sancho has gone up in the pecking order of Man Utd targets following Edinson Cavani’s contract extension, which means a new striker is unlikely to be required for another year.
The Red Devils face Liverpool tonight in the rearranged fixture at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile United are said to be on the verge of signing Tom Heaton as backup goalkeeper.
Sergio Romero and Lee Grant are almost certain to leave the club this summer while the club may only be big enough for one of David de Gea and Dean Henderson.
Get all the latest Man Utd news and transfer updates here…
    BRU KNOW IT
Bruno Fernandes was on the bench for the defeat to Leicester, surely he will be back in the line-up tonight…

    GO RON THEN
Manchester United are the most likely candidates to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
At least that’s what the bookies are saying with Betfair pricing United at 7/4 to re-sign their iconic number 7. Check out the latest odds below…

    PICTURED
Manchester United’s stars have already driven into Old Trafford for tonight’s game, well in advance of any protests.
    Check out the snaps here.
    UNITED FANS ON TWITTER
Thousands of United fans are expected to attend Old Trafford in protest this evening.
Here’s what a few of them have tweeted ahead of tonight…

    FORTRESS OT
It’s around three hours to go before the planned protest begins at Old Trafford.
United have enhanced security around the ground – and this video on Twitter shows the extent of their efforts.

    FANS VIEW – TOM MCDERMOTT
More protests are planned for Thursday evening ahead of Manchester United’s Premier League game against Liverpool at Old Trafford.
You don’t have to look far to see the top-secret extra measures the club has introduced to prevent the same scenes as the last protest earlier in the month.
Just to reiterate, protesting outside the ground is fine.
But when you see supporters breaking onto the pitch, damaging things, pinching one of the corner flags before snorting a white substance from it – a line has been crossed and it becomes embarrassing.

    PLAYERS ALREADY IN OT
According to Samuel Luckhurst at the Manchester Evening News, some United players are already in Old Trafford ahead of tonight’s planned protest.
One of the main reasons why the initial fixture was postponed was because players were unable to travel from their hotel due to the disruption outside the ground.
Tonight’s protest is expected to begin around 6pm.

    DANIEL CUTTS EXCLUSIVE
Manchester United will land a huge cash windfall if West Ham join them in the top four this season.
The Hammers have had a stunning season and are only six points behind rivals Chelsea with a game in hand.
The England winger has been a big part of that success during a stunning loan spell at the London Stadium since January.
And SunSport understands there’s a clause in his deal which will net United a £500,000 bonus if they secure Champions League football.
The agreement could help West Ham seal a permanent transfer for the 28-year-old, who is valued at around £20m.
His £100,000-a-week wage demands are proving an issue for the Hammers, especially if they don’t get into Europe.

    RON WILL RETURN
Cristiano Ronaldo’s mum Dolores has vowed to persuade her son to make a spectacular return to Sporting Lisbon.
The superstar is being heavily linked with a move away from Juventus and his mum made the assurance as she celebrated Sporting’s first league title in 19 years.
She posted a video of herself on her Instagram story dancing and singing after Sporting’s triumph.
The singing died down and a voice was heard shouting up to the balcony before Dolores yelled back: “I’ll talk to him [Cristiano] to bring him back.”
United are among the clubs believed to be interested in the Portuguese star.

    MORE OF THE SAME TONIGHT?
United won 3-2 the last time Liverpool played at Old Trafford.
Mason Greenwood scored in the FA Cup tie, celebrating with a wave to the cameras.
A win tonight would seriously hamper Liverpool’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

HAALAND ‘WILL BE AT DORTMUND NEXT SEASON’
Borussia Dortmund boss Hans-Joachim Watzke believes Erling Haaland will remain at the club beyond the summer.
The 25-year-old, who’s scored 25 Bundesliga goals this season, is one of the most sought after strikers in European football.
United are believed to be interested in the Norway international.
Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Watzke said: “I have the clear expectation that Erling Haaland will play for us next year.
“And I don’t waste any thoughts on anything else.”

    SHAW MOVES
United’s official TikTok account has given defender Luke Shaw a platform to show his moves.
Is he the best dancer in the squad?

    PROTEST EXPECTED
All eyes will be on Old Trafford this evening – but not for the game between United and Liverpool.
Another fan protest is expected to take place from 6pm.
United are said to be more prepared this time, bulking up security around the ground.

    PRAY FOR CRIST
United have added Atalanta centre-back Cristian Romero to their transfer shortlist, according to reports.
The Red Devils are said to be keen on the 23-year-old along with Lille star Sven Botman and Sevilla ace Jules Kounde.
United are eager to sign a new partner for captain Harry Maguire and the trio are their most-wanted, according to Sky Sports.
Romero is on loan at Atalanta from Juventus.
And although they are expected to make the deal permanent in line with the £21.5million obligation to buy clause, Atalanta are said to be willing to sell this summer for £34m.

    VALENCIA PAYS TRIBUTE TO FANS
Ex-United winger Antonio Valencia has called time on his playing career.
The 35-year-old won two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, two League Cups and the Europa League during his time at Old Trafford.
He also captained the Red Devils in his final year at the club.
Valencia has paid tribute to the United fans on social media, posting an open letter.

    BISSOUMA TO UNITED – WRIGHT
Arsenal legend Ian Wright believes Yves Bissouma should join Manchester United.
The £30million-rated midfielder has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Brighton.
He’s been linked with a move to United, Liverpool and the Gunners.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, the ex-England striker said: “Bissouma’s making it clear now he wants to leave.
“You’ve got to choose between Liverpool and Man United in the current climate.
“I’m probably going to go with Man United… You look at Man United and what Man United are on the cusp of doing, it’s a much more attractive proposition right now, much more.”
    SANCHO ‘PUSHING’ FOR UNITED TRANSFER
Jadon Sancho is ‘pushing’ for a move to Old Trafford, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The Borussia Dortmund winger reportedly wanted to join United last summer and has asked his agent to complete a deal at the second time of asking.
With just two years left on his contract, Sancho’s value is believed to have gone down.
United’s budget has also increased following the news that Edinson Cavani has signed a new contract – meaning they won’t need to sign a No.9 this summer.

    RED WALL
United chiefs have launched a top-secret operation to foil any anti-Glazer protests ahead of Thursday’s rearranged game with Liverpool.
Players have been sworn to secrecy with some staff kept out the loop to ensure there are no leaks.
A 10ft ‘ring of steel’ has also been built around the more vulnerable areas of Old Trafford – including the Munich Tunnel entrance where fans broke initially.
The teams were set to play each other on May 2 but supporter protests meant the game had to be cancelled.
Fans broke into the stadium and charged the pitch while a separate group stopped the teams leaving the Lowry Hotel in Manchester.
United bosses are aware of an ongoing threat and have kept their cards close to their chests ever since.
The same thing happened last week before the team travelled to Rome for their Europa League semi-final.
And the secret plans are still subject to change until the very last minute, according to the Mail.

    MORNING MAN UTD FANS
Manchester United face Liverpool this evening in one of the oldest and most historic games in English football.
The Red Devils were due to face Jurgen Klopp’s men on May 2 but fan protests at Old Trafford led to the game being postponed.
But now the two sides are set to do battle as the Premier League season approaches its conclusion.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rested 10 players in the 2-1 defeat to Leicester City on Tuesday, perhaps with one eye on the Liverpool match just 48 hours later.
And while some criticised the Norwegian for fielding a weakened XI, Klopp backed his opposition number.
He said: “Playing Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday is a crime.
“If we do not make it into the Champions League, it will not be the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or his players.
“It will be our fault because even in this season, in which we have had so many injuries, we really should have been five or six points better than we are.
“I know Ole made ten changes but I would have done the same thing — I expected him to do that.
“This is the end of a long season already and then you get Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and it’s just not right.
“So it is not the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, even if it means we now need to get a few favours if we are going to make the top four.”
Liverpool will move to within four points of Chelsea if they win at Old Trafford and will also still have a game in hand on the Blues.
Meanwhile, a defeat would almost certainly mean the end of their top four challenge, so this game becomes a make-or-break fixture in the club’s season.
    GUNNAR BOUNCE BACK
Manchester United will be hoping they can bounce back from defeat to Leicester when they take on Liverpool tomorrow evening.
The Red Devils will be without captain Harry Maguire but will still feel they have enough to overcome Jurgen Klopp’s inconsistent side.

    GOOD FOR THE SOL
Jurgen Klopp has called Manchester United’s fixture pile-up CRIMINAL and backed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for resting his stars.
The United boss made ten changes as they lost 2-1 against Leicester, making it tougher for Liverpool to finish in the top four.
Ahead of tomorrow’s clash at United, Reds boss Klopp said: “Playing Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday is a crime.
Klopp said: “If we do not make it into the Champions League, it will not be the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer or his players.
So it is not the fault of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, even if it means we now need to get a few favours if we are going to make the top four.”

    SIN-FUL DEVILS
Manchester United should be deducted points for fielding ‘their B team’ against Leicester on Tuesday, according to Trevor Sinclair.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made TEN changes to his team that beat Aston Villa on Sunday with another fixture against Liverpool to be played on Thursday.
Sinclair told TalkSPORT: “Without being disrespectful to the players that played tonight, they made ten changes, this is their ‘B’ team.
“I think that’s disrespectful and it takes away from the top four race. Why didn’t the police and the club make amendments and make sure they safeguard the stadium? They didn’t do that.
“The teams that are going to suffer from Man Utd’s lack of due diligence, the ones who could miss out on the top four, are Chelsea possibly, Liverpool, West Ham and Tottenham.
“I think there needs to be a punishment for Man Utd. Three points isn’t enough because that doesn’t affect anything.
“I honestly feel the way they put out this team, the way they didn’t safeguard their stadium, I think a six-point deduction should be given to Manchester United.”
😠 “#MUFC made 10 changes. This is their B team. I think that’s disrespectful.”😡 “I think there needs to be a punishment. 3 points isn’t enough. A 6 point deduction should be given.”Trevor Sinclair explains why he thinks Man Utd should be docked 6 points… pic.twitter.com/QE9kxSS510— talkSPORT (@talkSPORT) May 11, 2021

    MAIT A MOVE
Manchester United are interested in a shock transfer for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to reports.
The Arsenal academy graduate, 23, has spent the second half of this season on loan at West Brom.
And despite the Baggies getting relegated, the England international impressed with his performances under Sam Allardyce.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are considering an approach to Arsenal when he returns to his parent club.
However, the report adds they would face competition from three other Premier League sides – Everton, Leeds and Southampton.

    ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROM
Jose Mourinho wants to sign Manchester United outcast Sergio Romero for his new club Roma, according to reports.
The goalkeeper has not played a single minute for the Red Devils this season and is certain to leave in the summer when his contract expires.
And his old manager Mourinho has added him to his transfer wishlist, according to the Telegraph.
SunSport columnist Mourinho will take over the Serie A side at the end of the season.
He signed a three-year deal just two weeks after being sacked by Tottenham.

New Arsenal away shirt LEAKED, Camavinga transfer BOOST, Dembele £25million interest, Aarons could replace Bellerin

ARSENAL are looking to make a big statement in the transfer market by securing Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga. The France international had been strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid, but his agent has suggested the Gunners’ lack of Champions League football will not prove a stumbling block if they want to do a deal.
Arsenal are also considering a move for Atletico Madrid loanee Moussa Dembele, valued at £25m by parent club Lyon.
And the Gunners are willing to sell Hector Bellerin for around £35m, with Max Aarons of Norwich a potential replacement.

    WRIGHT ON THE MONEY
Ian Wright has admitted that he does not trust Arsenal to sign Martin Odegaard permanently.
In discussing the busy summer ahead for the club, the ex-striker told Premier League Productions that the signing of Willian shows the Gunners transfer department is flawed.
He said: “You say who’s vulnerable, you look at [Lucas] Torreira and [Matteo] Guendouzi, Joe Willock is doing very well at Newcastle, [William] Saliba’s doing well as well.
“You look at it and you think to yourself those players, every one of them apart from [Konstantinos] Mavropanos who’s not really had a chance [and] Saliba, maybe those players should be where they are.
“I’d like to see Joe Willock get an opportunity but I don’t think it’s going to happen.
“Odegaard is somebody who I’d like to see sign, but at the same time the people who are going to oversee who’s coming in and who’s going out are unfortunately the same people who signed Willian for three years.”

    EMILE A MINUTE
Arsenal’s winner last night came from a training ground routine designed to push opponents into making mistakes, Emile Smith Rowe has revealed.
The young midfielder hit the only goal of the game at Stamford Bridge after a poor backpass from Jorginho was snapped up.
And he told Sky Sports: “We worked on that in training this week, the pressing, the high pressing, so I feel like we did well to make them make a mistake and then Auba set me up.
“This happens sometimes, I’m happy it went in, but it was a lucky finish.
“It means so much to score for this fantastic club. I just want to keep pushing on now.”
    MONTEMURRO LEAVES
Joe Montemurro has officially left his role as manager of Arsenal Women.

Reports suggest the player is happy to stay at the Emirates and a five-year deal could be agreed very shortly.

    ARTETA DELIGHTED WITH WIN
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has expressed his delight at last night’s 1-0 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to the club’s official website, Arteta said: “[It was a] Great win.
“It shows how tough it is to come here and win against a fantastic team. I think what Thomas [Tuchel] is doing is great. They have so much quality, really good organisation and make it really difficult for you.
“From the beginning, we showed that we were coming here to try to win with the right spirit, with the right attitude, we showed moments of real quality as well.
“We got the goal and then we had to defend in long periods. To do that, you have to be really committed and resilient. We needed some luck and we had it tonight.”
    WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE?
Should Arsenal finish in seventh, they will most likely qualify for the inaugural edition of the Europa Conference League.
But what is Uefa’s new tertiary competition?
The ECL will run alongside the Champions League and Europa League.
It is designed to let even more clubs across the continent experience European football.
Whichever English team qualifies will enter at the Play-Off round before a familiar looking Group Stage.
The competition will be held on Thursday nights throughout the season, culminating in a final on May 25, 2022, in Albania.
    AMN LATEST
Manchester United are interested in a shock transfer for Ainsley Maitland-Niles, according to reports.
The Arsenal academy graduate, 23, has spent the second half of this season on loan at West Brom.
And despite the Baggies getting relegated, the England international impressed with his performances under Sam Allardyce.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are considering an approach to Arsenal when he returns to his parent club.
However, the report adds they would face competition from three other Premier League sides – Everton, Leeds and Southampton.

    WAS THIS A GOOD SAVE?
Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno kept a clean sheet last night in their 1-0 win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
The Gunners’ social media team have highlighted this save from the German stopper – but was it actually any good?
    You decide…

    SPL-ASH THE CASH
Ashley Cole has told Arsenal they MUST invest big in players this summer to take ‘the next step’.
The Gunners face a battle to bag a Europa League spot this season, but a 1-0 away win at Chelsea on Wednesday put themselves firmly back in the frame.
Speaking before the Chelsea victory, the 40-year-old said: “When Mikel Arteta came into the job he definitely shored up the defence, he really got that defensive shape and organisation.
“But now, in the middle third and the final third, I think they’ve been lacking that sharpness, that real quality and intensity to go and grab a game.
“I just think they’ve struggled. As I mentioned, big players have not turned up.
Next season will they invest? They need to invest if they want to go to the next step and play the Arsenal way, that quick, enjoyable football to watch.
    “They need changes.”

    HOLDING HAPPY WITH WIN
Rob Holding has expressed his delight at Arsenal’s 1-0 win against Chelsea.
The defender told the club’s official website: “I managed to block everything, head everything that came my way.
“We just sort of defended first and then anything we could do with the ball, we did.
“It’s nice to get a double over Chelsea for the season. We got a good one at home and then it’s nice to grind out a result here.”
Holding is also hoping the Gunners can end the season strongly.
He continued: “We owe the fans a lot after this season.
“We’ve let them down a few times, so if we can wrap up some points, wrap up some wins and give them something to look forward to going into next season.”
    SIMA SOON
Slavia Prague forward Abdallah Sima is keen on a move to the Premier League, according to the Evening Standard.
The 19-year-old, who’s scored 11 league goals this season, is believed to be a target for Arsenal and West Ham.
Reports suggest the Czech club want £50million for the player, although they are expected to accept a smaller bid.
Sima has one senior cap for Senegal.

    ‘PLAYS WITH COURAGE’
Arsenal’s ‘shining light’ Bukayo Saka is being ‘used and abused’ by Mikel Arteta, according to Ashley Cole.
And the former Gunner thinks Saka’s versatility might hold him back from becoming a ‘top, top player’.
Speaking on Sky, Cole said: “As Jamie [Redknapp] says, [he’s] a shining light in this Arsenal team. He plays with courage, [he’s] fearless at times.
“But I just feel when you don’t cement down one position, it’s very, very difficult to nail that down and be a top, top player.
“As a manager, you love it because he’s adaptable and he can play in three or four positions, which is brilliant.
“But I feel for him at times because I think he’s kind of used and abused.”

    BISSOUMA TO UNITED – WRIGHT
Ian Wright believes Yves Bissouma should join Manchester United – and not his beloved Arsenal.
The £30million-rated midfielder has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Brighton.
He’s been linked with a move to United, Liverpool and the Gunners.
Speaking on the Wrighty’s House podcast, the Arsenal legend said: “Bissouma’s making it clear now he wants to leave.
“You’ve got to choose between Liverpool and Man United in the current climate.
“I’m probably going to go with Man United… You look at Man United and what Man United are on the cusp of doing, it’s a much more attractive proposition right now, much more.”
    GUNNING FOR BERGE
Arsenal are serious about signing Sheffield United’s Sander Berge, according to Yorkshire Live.
The 23-year-old midfielder needs to find another club if wishes to stay in the Premier League following the Blades’ relegation to the Championship.
Mikel Arteta’s assistant, Albert Stuivenberg, previously coached the Norway international at Genk.
It is believed Arsenal are hiring a new network of scouts and the applicants have been asked to prepare dossiers on Newcastle loanee Joe Willock and Berge.
The Sheffield United player is said to have a £35million release clause.

    ICYMI – JORGINHO’S HOWLER
Chelsea lost 1-0 to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge last night following an awful back pass from Jorginho.
Here’s the moment, just in case you missed it…

    TUCHY SUBJECT
Thomas Tuchel knows exactly which player rotation caused Chelsea’s loss to Arsenal.
The Blues lost 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday and the German blamed himself and the line up he picked after the game.
He said: “I am not happy with my line-up. There were too many changes and I should not have done it like this.
“It was something in particular but I don’t want to tell you.”
🗣”It is totally our fault, no one elses, we lost the game, we made an own-goal a total gift.” Thomas Tuchel took blame for making too many changes to the Chelsea starting line-up and called it a wake up call pic.twitter.com/kMXnJCjT6M— Football Daily (@footballdaily) May 12, 2021

    ARTETA’S MEDIA RANT
Mikel Arteta has slammed the press following Arsenal’s 1-0 victory at Chelsea last night, claiming they are ‘putting words in his mouth’.
The Gunners boss told BBC Radio 5 Live: “I don’t accept somebody putting words in my mouth that I don’t say.
“When it’s related to my players, they’re going to hit a wall.
“They can try to give their opinions from the outside, that’s fine, but to try to break what we have inside there is not possible.”
    MORNING ARSENAL FANS
It will be a welcome feeling for Arsenal fans this morning to wake up after a positive display from their team.
For all the negatives about the 2020-21 campaign, Mikel Arteta’s side showed grit and determination to defend resolutely and earn themselves a 1-0 victory over London rivals Chelsea.
Emile Smith Rowe’s first half goal gave the Gunners a much-needed win and one that lifts them up into eighth place in the Premier League table.
Speaking after the match, Arteta said: “It’s been a really tough season because we’ve faced something unprecedented in the outside world and in this football club.
“But we put all our passion, our energy, our knowledge and our togetherness to get through any obstacle and try to be as good as we can.”
The Spaniard also hit back at what he felt was an incorrect depiction of his words before the game surrounding the motivation of his players.
With the victory, Arsenal have now given themselves an outside chance of Europa League qualification next season.
And goalscorer Smith Rowe felt it was a huge win that the team desperately needed.
The 20-year-old said: “I feel like it was an important result, and for our season.
“It was really tough, and we had to work hard and dig deep. We worked on [the high press] in training this week, and I feel like we did well to make them make a mistake.
“I think it showed our character, and just how much fight we’ve got in us. We defended really well in patches and after this tough season, it was a good performance.”
    GOOD NIGHT FOR ARSENAL
So, Arsenal pick up a much-needed London derby win at Stamford Bridge as their quest for European football goes down to the final few games.
Mikel Arteta’s side now finish off their Premier League campaign with matches against Crystal Palace and Brighton.
Can they make the Europa League for next season? We wait to find out.

    CRAZY STAT
Absolutely bizarre statistic. Shows how much Lampard struggled at the end of his reign at Stamford Bridge.
Over the last 25 league games, Arsenal and Chelsea have taken exactly the same number of points (42). My brain cannot compute how this can be the case.— Daniel Storey (@danielstorey85) May 12, 2021

    ARSENAL STUN CHELSEA
Arsenal have shocked Chelsea with a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge. Emile Smith Rowe scored the only goal of the game after a horror backpass from Jorginho in the first half.
The Gunners move into eighth place in the Premier League table. Chelsea’s spot in the top four remains a little uneasy.

    OFF THE BAR TWICE
Chelsea have just hit the bar twice in the final minute of normal time against Arsenal. The Gunners are clinging on.

    LOUD AND CROWD
Premier League chiefs are aiming for a return to normality next season.
But while that will mean full houses for the first time since March 2020, it will also see two other key changes.
The first will be the end of every match being available live on TV for fans, with only 200 of the 380 matches scheduled for broadcast.
And it will also see the traditional Saturday 3pm kick-off for up to five matches each weekend coming back – with the long-standing “blackout” meaning those matches will NOT be available to watch unless you buy a ticket for the stadium.
The reversion to life “before Covid” is set to be confirmed by the summer, with all restrictions in England due to end from June 21.

    SEE YOU, ZIZOU
Zinedine Zidane will QUIT Real Madrid at the end of the season with club legend Raul and Massimiliano Allegri being lined up to replace him, according to reports.
The Los Blancos boss, 48, has been in charge since January 2016 when he replaced Rafael Benitez, save for a nine-month period in 2018-19.
Despite winning two LaLiga crowns and three Champions League trophies – with Real still in with a chance of winning the domestic title this season – Zidane has already made up his mind to quit, say the Daily Mail.
The report claims Real Madrid are taking the threat seriously, with Zidane believing he doesn’t have the support of president Florentino Perez.
Perez has already drawn up a two-man shortlist to take over from Zidane should the French icon quit.
Club legend Raul, 43, is one of the names on that list having excelled with Castilla – Real Madrid’s ‘B’ team.

    SERG-ING OFF
Tottenham star Serge Aurier is reportedly in talks with old club Paris Saint-Germain over a return.
The Ivory Coast international has been in and out of the Spurs side this season, and could be set for a link up with his old boss Mauricio Pochettino.
Foot Mercato is reporting that talks between the player and his team and PSG are ‘accelerating’.
Aurier is likely to cost around £10million, with PSG technical director Leonardo seemingly keen for the move to happen.
Reports are that Aurier will be offered a four-year contract and while Spurs supremo Daniel Levy has not received a firm offer, ‘talks between the two clubs have taken off’.
And importantly, Pochettino is also ‘favourable’ to Aurier joining his side next season.
Aurier left PSG for Spurs in 2017 in a £22.5m deal.

    READY, SET, AGUER-GO!
Sergio Aguero has agreed a two-year ‘agreement in principle’ with Barcelona, according to reports.
Aguero – who is leaving Manchester City at the end of the season – has been heavily linked with the Catalans for months.
The striker wants to join Barcelona like ‘crazy’ this summer when his contract at City expires, according to Mundo Deportivo.
Barca are apparently eager to appease star man Lionel Messi, 33, who is edging towards staying put after trying to leave last year.
One way to convince Messi to remain would be to sign 32-year-old Aguero – one of his best pals and an international teammate with Argentina.
And a principle deal has been reached with the City legend lowering his initial wage demands, according to Sport.

    ROM RAID
Romelu Lukaku and Ashley Young have been fined for breaking coronavirus rules after armed police broke up the Belgian star’s birthday party.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea striker, 28, has just helped Inter Milan win the Serie A title.
Belgium international Lukaku scored his 22nd goal of the season as Inter beat Roma 3-1 on Wednesday.
But he landed in hot water when gun-toting Carabinieri cops raided a Milan city-centre hotel in the early hours of Thursday.
Lukaku was fined for flouting local Covid restrictions, together with three team-mates and 20 other guests.
Ex-England winger Ashley Young, 35, was one of the trio to cop a punishment.
Ivan Perisic and Achraf Hakimi were the other two disciplined for their role in the night’s event.

    WHAT IS THE CONFERENCE LEAGUE?
Uefa’s new tertiary competition will run alongside the Champions League and Europa League.
It is designed to let even more clubs across the continent experience European football.
Whichever English team qualifies will enter at the Play-Off round before a familiar looking Group Stage.
The competition will be held on Thursday nights throughout the season, culminating in a final on May 25, 2022, in Albania.
    EUROPEAN PERMUTATIONS
What does it mean for European qualification if Chelsea or Leicester win FA Cup?
At the time of writing, both Chelsea and Leicester are in the Premier League top four and will go into next season’s Champions League if things stay as they are.
Winning the FA Cup is a route into European football, with the winners rewarded with a spot in next season’s Europa League.
There are just two Europa League spots up for grabs this season, down from the usual three due to the formation of the Uefa Conference League.
Uefa and Prem rules dictate that the Europa League qualifying spot for winning the FA Cup will be passed to the next highest-ranked Premier League side which has NOT qualified for a Uefa competition.
Both Chelsea and Leicester are set to finish in a Europa League qualifying spot or better.
So in a nutshell, provided Chelsea and Leicester remain in the top five – or Tuchel’s side go on to lift the Champions League – fifth and sixth place will head into the EL, while seventh place goes into the Conference League.

    JUR GONNA LIKE THIS
Moaning Champions League managers have won their battle over Saturday lunchtime TV kick-offs.
Jurgen Klopp, Pep Guardiola and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer were united in their complaints over being forced to play at 12.30pm on Saturdays after they had played on Wednesday nights in Europe.
And as part of the newly-agreed “rollover” domestic TV deal that will earn Prem clubs around £1.7bn per year over the next four seasons, BT have now agreed to a slight tweak.
While the majority of the channel’s Saturday games will remain at 12.30pm, those matches featuring teams that have played Champions League football on the previous Wednesday will be switched to 7.45pm.
It comes on the same day Premier League chief confirmed agreement on a new £5.1billion TV deal.

    MORE FROM UEFA
Discussing Uefa’s decision to move the Champions League final to Porto, president Aleksander Ceferin said: “After the year that fans have endured, it is not right that they don’t have the chance to watch their teams in the biggest game of the season.
“Fans have had to suffer more than twelve months without the ability to see their teams live and reaching a Champions League final is the pinnacle of club football.
“To deprive those supporters of the chance to see the match in person was not an option and I am delighted that this compromise has been found.
“We accept that the decision of the British Government to place Turkey on the red list for travel was taken in good faith and in the best interests of protecting its citizens from the spread of the virus.
“But it also presented us with a major challenge in staging a final featuring two English teams.
“The difficulties of moving the final are great and the FA and the authorities made every effort to try to stage the match in England and I would like to thank them for their work in trying to make it happen.”
BREAKING NEWS – CL FINAL IN PORTO
Chelsea and Manchester City will each have 6,000 fans at the Champions League Final after Uefa finally confirmed the match has been switched to Portugal.
And as a result of fierce lobbying by Uefa, the Portuguese Government have agreed to raise it’s initial 10 per cent stadium capacity cap to allow up to 20,000 inside the 50,000-capacity venue.
Uefa said: “Staging the final in Istanbul would have meant none of the clubs’ domestic fans would be able to travel to the game.
“After a year of fans being locked out of stadiums, Uefa thought that everything needed to be done to ensure the supporters of the two finalist teams could attend.
“Uefa discussed moving the match to England but, despite exhaustive efforts on the part of the Football Association and the authorities, it was not possible to achieve the necessary exemptions from UK quarantine arrangements.
“The Portuguese authorities and the FPF stepped in and worked quickly and seamlessly with Uefa to offer a fitting venue for the final.
“As Portugal is a green list destination for England, fans and players attending the final will not have to quarantine on their return home.”
The #UCLfinal between Manchester City and Chelsea will now be held at the Estádio do Dragão in Porto.6,000 fans of each team will be able to attend.Full story: ⬇️— UEFA (@UEFA) May 13, 2021

Speaking to German newspaper Bild, Watzke said: “I have the clear expectation that Erling Haaland will play for us next year.
“And I don’t waste any thoughts on anything else.”

    LIFE AFTER RON
Juventus are reportedly lining up a shock move for Everton hitman Moise Kean – to replace club talisman Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo’s future at the Allianz Stadium was thrown into doubt after it became mathematically impossible for Juve to win the Scudetto.
According to Tuttosport, the Juve top brass are preparing for life without the five-time Ballon d’Or winner by lining up a bid for Kean.
Juventus sold Italy international Kean to Everton two years ago for an initial fee of £25million.
The 21-year-old, however, is currently on a season-long loan with French champions Paris Saint-Germain – where he’s scored 16 goals in 39 appearances.

    HOWE ABOUT THAT
Eddie Howe is set to be announced as the new Celtic manager, according to talkSPORT.
The 43-year-old has reportedly agreed to take charge of the team at the end of the season.
Howe has been out of work since leaving Bournemouth at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
During his time on the south coast, the English manager guided them from League Two to the Premier League across two spells.

    SWORN STATEMENT
Scott Brown hilariously dropped the f-bomb live on TV following his last ever Celtic appearance at Parkhead.
The 35-year-old star captained his team to a 4-0 victory over St Johnstone on Wednesday night.
After the match he was interviewed on the club’s official TV channel – and it was one for the record books.
Struggling to contain his laughter throughout, Brown dropped the f-bomb while overhearing his song being blared over the sound system at Celtic Park.
Brown said: “There’s that song on again. Just put Scooter on, f*** me.”

    FINAL BLOW
Thousands of Chelsea and Manchester City fans could get the green light to see the Champions League Final – if Uefa gets the Portuguese authorities to back down.
Euro chiefs are ready to confirm the May 29 clash will be played at Porto’s Estadio do Dragao after failing to get agreement with the UK Government over guest and sponsor numbers being allowed into the country if the game was played at Wembley.
But while Portugal will lift its nationwide ban on crowds for the final weekend of the domestic season on May 19, numbers will be capped at 10 per cent of capacity.
With the Dragao holding a maximum of just over 50,000 fans, that would mean a mere 5,000 spectators for European football’s showpiece occasion.
In turn, it would likely result in barely 1,000 fans of each of the two Premier League clubs being sold tickets, with others going to local spectators and the “Uefa family”.
But Uefa is putting pressure on the Portuguese to allow up to 40 per cent of the Dragao capacity to be used.
That would mean around 20,000 in Porto, with the two clubs each receiving between between 4,000 and 6,000 tickets.
Such a number is far below the potential 9,000 per club allocation had the game been played at Wembley but still significantly better than if the cap remains at 10 per cent.

    HIGH FLYER
Elsewhere in boxing, Mike Tyson insisted the psychedelic ‘Toad Venom’ drug has kept him sober for six years and revealed he will only fight while high.
Tyson was overweight when he started taking the drug but said it inspired him to start training again.
Speaking on his podcast with guest Mario Lopez, co-host Henry Cejudo, an ex-UFC champion, claimed Toad Venom has kept Iron Mike on the straight and narrow.
Tyson, 54, said: “I was 330-pounds, then boom!
“I used to smoke the toad, get in shape, then I smoked it again and was like, ‘Let’s f*** some n**** up.'”

    ON THE ROPES
Tyson Fury was doing his best to avoid female attention as he hit the beach with his brother Tommy.
Earlier this week The Sun reported how the WBC heavyweight champion happily let female fans slather him all over with suntan oil as they got hands-on with the Gypsy King.

    RYAN’S REVEAL
Elsewhere in boxing, Ryan Garcia has returned to the gym having taken a break following a battle with mental health as he admitted: ‘Depression hit me like a truck’.
The lightweight sensation has been open about his brave fight with personal demons and showed support for others in the same situation.
His struggles were so bad recently, he was forced to pull out of facing Javier Fortuna, which was initially scheduled for July 9.
But almost three weeks after withdrawing from the fight, Garcia posted a video training again and provided a positive yet honest message.
He captioned on Instagram: “Thank you to everyone showing there (sic) support!
“With the help of my support team and my family, I’m making steps forward.
“Why anxiety and depression hit me like a truck and why I’m still recovering I’ll never know.
“But I’m trying to cope with the issues I’m having! This bag is my anxiety and I’m swinging with my full intent to destroy it!!”

    LOG-GING OUT
Elsewhere in boxing, Logan Paul vowed to beat Floyd Mayweather and then retire immediately after – without giving the boxing legend a rematch.
The YouTuber faces Mayweather in an exhibition bout on June 6 in Miami.
All hell broke loose in the pre-fight press conference, as Logan and his brother Jake were involved in a brawl with Mayweather’s entourage.
But beforehand, the brothers flew in from Puerto Rico on a private jet.
And Logan captured the moment he discussed overcoming the odds in unthinkable fashion and walking away on top.
He said: “I’m about to send Floyd back to retirement – and then retire myself and not give him the rematch.”

    FURY IN TRAINING
Tyson Fury is keeping himself in good shape ahead of the proposed fight with AJ in August.
Here’s the undefeated champ in training…

    BECK AND CALL
Tyson Fury has been pictured with David Beckham and David Guetta at an Inter Miami game.
Phil Neville’s side lost 2-0 to Montreal.

    ‘JUST NO’
Elsewhere in the combat sport world, UFC supremo Dana White has refused to ever do business with Jake Paul and his brother Logan.
The social media stars have taken the boxing world by storm, so much so they’ve recently landed big-money fights with Ben Askren and Floyd Mayweather respectively,
During an interview with ESPN, White said: “First of all, I would never do business with those guys, just no.
“No, this is not what we do. I’m not gonna f*****g loan them a guy for f*****g what? There’s no way.
“You got plenty of f*****g goofballs out there that you can muster up to get in there and play these games that these guys are playing.
    “Yeah, I’m not your guy.”

    2 FUR 1
Tyson Fury has branded Deontay Wilder and training partner Malik Scott ‘bitches’ and offered to fight them both on the SAME night.
Scott, who was knocked out by Wilder in their 2014 fight, has been part of the American’s recent road to recovery.
Fury told FightHype: “Malik Scott’s a b***h, and so is Deontay Wilder.
“And I’ll fight both of them, one after the other, on the same night. And smack ‘em round, like p****s what they are.
“You can’t teach an old dog new tricks. And once I’ve got his heart and his mojo, it’s right here in me pocket.
“So, if you want them Deontay, come and fight the Gypsy King and come and take what I’ve got belonging to you.”
    RIPPED & READY
AJ has showed off his ripped physique and branded himself ‘cold blooded’ ahead of his fight with Tyson Fury.
The heavyweight champions are both in training camp for an undisputed title decider on August 14.

    MORNING BOXING FANS
Another day, another tireless wait for an official announcement.
Tyson Fury’s promoter Frank Warren confirmed on Wednesday that the fight is set for August 14 but that The Gypsy King was still yet to sign off on some of the pertinent details.
During an appearance on talkSPORT, Warren said: “It definitely won’t be on August 7 because that’s when the Olympic games are on and that’s going to be a problem for TV.
“Besides that, you’ve got a UFC PPV in the States and UK so if it goes on, it’ll be on August 14.
“I don’t think the date is the problem at all, I think everyone’s agreed that can be moved to August 14.
“What we’re all trying to do is get this over the line, but the only way we’ll get it over the line is by the fighter, Tyson, getting certain assurances.
“If he gets them, he’ll put pen to paper, but as it is now, he’s waiting for the other side’s lawyers to confirm what he wants.”
Anthony Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn said at the weekend that the fight would be announced by his Manchester show on Saturday.
If that is the case, we have 48 hours left before the sceptics will once again ask questions as to whether it is going to happen at all.
Meanwhile, Fury went on another trash talking rampage yesterday by insisting Joshua has no chance of beating him.
In classically jovial fashion, Fury said: “Joshua can’t pull s*** off. He couldn’t even pull himself off. He’s on rookie numbers, once a day.
“When he gets it up to seven times a day, come and see me. Until then, shut the hell up.”
Will today be the day we finally hear what we’ve all been waiting for?
    FURY VS JOSHUA
So, another 24 hours passes and we continue to wait for an official announcement.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said at the weekend that there will be confirmation by his show in Manchester on Saturday night.
Maybe it will FINALLY come tomorrow.

    WHO ELSE IS FIGHTING?
Aside from all the talk of Joshua and Fury, here is what the next couple of weeks holds for boxing fans.

    GET TO KNOW AJ
What is there to know about Anthony Joshua? Here’s a graphic explaining a little more about the unified heavyweight champion.

    MASTER BAIT
Tyson Fury has proven to be the master baiter as he crudely warned Anthony Joshua there will be no happy ending for him once they finally collide.
The ever-confident Gypsy King was asked by FightHype about the possible ways AJ could ‘pull off’ an upset and beat him.
And he replied: “Joshua can’t pull s*** off. He couldn’t even pull himself off. He’s on rookie numbers, once a day.
“When he gets it up to seven times a day, come and see me. Until then, shut the hell up.”

    GAMES OVER
Tyson Fury’s eagerly-anticipated undisputed heavyweight title fight with Anthony Joshua can only take place on August 14, according to his co-promoter Frank Warren.
“It definitely won’t be on August 7 because that’s when the Olympic games are on and that’s gonna be a problem for TV.

    FURY’S MENTAL HEALTH MESSAGE

    FURY VS JOSHUA
Here is how the two men stack up against one another:

    TWITTER SPAT
A reminder of the Twitter spat between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua overnight…

    FURY CONTINUES THE TRASH TALK
Tyson Fury has done a lot of talking over the last 24 hours when it comes to slamming Anthony Joshua.
And his latest quotes come after he was asked what the chances are of AJ catching him with one of his big hooks.
The Gypsy King said: “Good luck trying to hit me with one of them.
“He’ll catch a cold before he catches me with one of them. If he holds a handful of stones and throws them at me, he may have a chance of landing something.”

    JOSHUA KEEPING IT REAL
Anthony Joshua put this message out earlier this week:

    WORKING THE BAG

    FURY VS JOSHUA
As we near an announcement for Fury-Joshua in Saudi Arabia on August 14, who do you think will come out on top?

    ‘DIFFERENT ANIMAL’
Anthony Joshua has been warned that Tyson Fury is lasting 20 ROUNDS in training and has fists like ‘rocks’ ahead of their unification clash.
Both men have already begun training for the mouthwatering showdown – with Fury recently sparring with young boxer Aleksandar Mraovic ahead of the upcoming mega-fight.
Mraovic, speaking via the MyBettingSites.co.uk blog, said: “This man is not of this world, he’s a different animal. He’s punching like a machine, I have never felt punches like that before from anybody.
“When we were sparring, he even showed me a little bit how he got the power and how he works on it.
“His fists feel like rocks on you when he hits, it’s incredible. The power comes from how he punches and how he uses his weight.
“He’s in great condition – he never had a bodybuilder’s body but he moves like a real athlete.
“He did twenty rounds, no problem. We were all done after 12 rounds, we did a lot of body sparring and we were all dead.
“But Tyson kept on doing the heavy bag and pad work, he’s crazy. He does not know when to stop.”

    FURY ON JOSHUA
Tyson Fury does not believe there is any way Anthony Joshua can beat him.
He said: “Joshua can’t pull s*** off. He couldn’t even pull himself off. He’s on rookie numbers, once a day.
“When he gets it up to seven times a day, come and see me.”
    Credit: PA
    FURY ON SAUNDERS DEFEAT
Tyson Fury has given some words of wisdom following his friend Billy Joe Saunders’ defeat to Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez at the weekend.
He told talkSPORT: “He [Saunders] put on a good show and he got caught with a massive punch. This is boxing, it happens.
“There’s no shame in losing on the night and he done his best. He’ll be back stronger and he’ll win another belt.”

    THAT’S ALL FROM MADRID
Atletico Madrid have made a decisive step towards the LaLiga title after beating Real Sociedad 2-0 at the Wanda Metroplitano Stadium.
Atletico opened the scoring after just 16 minutes when Marcos Llorente found Yannick Carrasco in the box with a nice ball and the Belgium international nutmegged Alex Remiro.
Atleti doubled their lead on 28 minutes when Luis Suarez drove the ball forward and set Angel Correa up for a neat finish.
Sociedad got close to a goal of their own when Alexander Isak blasted a shot from the hosts’ box and rattled Jan Oblak’s right-hand post.
The visitors came in stronger in the second half but couldn’t score until the 83rd minute with Igor Zubeldia from close range.
That’s all from us here in Madrid, have a lovely night!

    PORTU REACTS
Real Sociedad ace Portu insists his team never gave up throughout the encounter.
He said: “They had chances, especially in the first 25 minutes. In the end, especially the first goal that comes from a second play penalized us a lot.
“The second goal is a blow but the team has never left the game. Quite the opposite. We have had occasions to equalise. Atleti playing what is being played has to come out like this.
“We were also playing a lot and we have to learn to go out that way. You can not put buts to the team. We had worked a lot on getting the ball out.
“The team has made a great effort and with the ball they have known how to come out and in the end we have had those chances to draw. We lacked both areas, being forceful”

    NOT SUAR
Atletico Madrid star Luis Suarez put together an impressive performance against Real Sociedad.
But Suarez failed to hit the net in a match that had quite a stressful ending at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
Today’s result marks the star striker’s fifth consecutive game in which he doesn’t score.
Nevertheless, the Liverpool legend remains LaLiga’s fourth top scorer
    GETTY IMAGES
    KOKE REACTS
Atletico Madrid captain Koke is pleased with the result and shared a message with the fans.
Koke said: “Tired, the truth in the end we have done a spectacular job in the game. We were 2-0 and took a little step back at the end.
“We made a great effort to win beyond the very good and not so good moments we have done, but in the end it was about adding three at a time. Two games remain, one world remains.
“LaLiga is tightening a lot now at the end. For us they are final. Today it was and we won it and on Sunday too, and we will try to win. We are Atleti and if we do not suffer it would not be us. 500 matches. Many years, seasons and efforts.
“Hopefully there will be many more but I am not thinking of the individual but of the collective. Thank the fans, those who are away and those who are at home and have not been able to come because of the COVID. Many times we need people for that last effort like in those last 10 minutes”

    GOODNIGHT
Chelsea’s defeat to Arsenal at Stamford Bridge means the race for the top four and Champions League football is back on – and maybe, just maybe, so too is the Gunners’ scramble towards the Europa League.
Mikel Arteta’s team will need a big helping hand from elsewhere, just as they were provided with this evening by Jorginho’s careless backpass that was eventually seized upon and scored by Emile Smith Rowe.
Chelsea were nowhere near the levels that we have come to expect from them since Thomas Tuchel’s arrival, and the Blues boss was quick to take the blame for a lacklustre performance that would have left him worried ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup Final.
But don’t take my word for it, take Mark Irwin’s and his match report on the Gunners’ success in West London.
We’ll be back tomorrow with more Premier League action including Manchester United’s rearranged match with Liverpool.
Until then, thanks for reading and goodbye.
    ARTETA FIGHTS BACK
An emotional Mikel Arteta hit back at pre-match press reports claiming that his players are lacking motivation, and suggested that tonight’s back-to-the-walls display was indicative of the mentality amongst his squad.
It’s been a really tough season because we’ve faced something unprecedented in the outside world and in this football club – but we put all our passion, our energy, our knowledge and our togetherness to get through any obstacle and try to be as good as we can.Mikel ArtetaSky Sportts

    TUCHEL SHOULDERS BLAME
Thomas Tuchel has taken full responsibility for Chelsea’s defeat by Arsenal this evening. The German coach made seven changes from the side that won at Manchester City at the weekend, and says he should have seen this performance coming.
For me, maybe it was too many changes from the last match, and I take responsibility for that. Maybe it is a wake-up call for all of us.Thomas TuchelSky Sports

    EMILE’S ALL SMILES
With his second Premier League goal in four days, Arsenal’s Emile Smitth Rowe was this evening’s matchwinner. At full time, the youngster praised his side’s performance and the work they put, both before and during the game.
I feel like it was an important result, and for our season. It was really tough, and we had to work hard and dig deep. We worked on [the high press] in training this week, and I feel like we did well to make them make a mistake. I think it showed our character, and just how much fight we’ve got in us. We defended really well in patches and after this tough season, it was a good performance.Emile Smith RoweSky Sports

    BOSSED IT!
Arsenal’s last nine Premier League victories over the Blues have occurred with a different manager in the Chelsea dugout on each occasion.
Following tonight’s result, Thomas Tuchel joins a list of Claudio Ranieri, Avram Grant, Felipe Scolari, Carlo Ancelotti, Andre Villas-Boas, Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri and Frank Lampard.
Arsenal’s last nine league victories against Chelsea have all been against different managers for the Blues.#CHEARS— Orbinho (@Orbinho) May 12, 2021

    RIDDLE ME THIS
    *posts mind blown gif*
Over the last 25 league games, Arsenal and Chelsea have taken exactly the same number of points (42). My brain cannot compute how this can be the case.— Daniel Storey (@danielstorey85) May 12, 2021

    FULL TIME STATS
Chelsea clocked up 755 passes and 68% possession but couldn’t find a way through a determined Arsenal backline.

    FT: CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
Arsenal complete the double over Chelsea, and make it three away wins in a row without conceding. They had to work hard for it, defending staunchly in the second half after Emile Smith Rowe had taken advantage of an early Jorginho calamity to score.
    PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!THE FINAL WHISTLE IS BLOWN!
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
90+6. Another Chelsea corner. Surely a final Chelsea corner.
It’s headed away. It’s headed back. Gabriel slices out of the box, but back it comes.
Giroud connects with a cross and heads down, only for the ball to fall to the feet of Jorginho at the far post…
…it hits the Italian and dribbles off for a goalkick.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
90+4. Almost an opportunity for Arsenal to seal it on the break.
Partey is sent clear but doesn’t have the pace to get away from his marker and is eventually cautioned for simulation in the box.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
90+3. The Chelsea barrage continues, and they win another corner.
Arsenal hold firm, however, and clear their lines.
    Three minutes remaining…

    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    90. Off the crossbar! And again! In the final minute of the ninety, Chelsea twice come within a whisker of an equaliser!
Zouma’s looping header is touched on to the bar by the fingertips of Leno before Giroud, on the follow-up rattles his effort against the frame of goal.
Is it destined to be Arsenal’s night? They will have to survive SIX minutes of stoppage time.

    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    87. Hector Bellerin hasn’t been able to run off his tweaked muscle, and is replaced by Callum Chambers. The substitute has been substituted.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    86. Chelsea finally get their act together, and put together their best move of the half.
Hudson-Odoi was sent into space down the left and crossed low for Pulisic in the middle, only for the American to fluff his connection on the slide.
As Pulisic lies face down on the turf, Leno gratefully gathers the weak shot.

    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    85. Bellerin is back on – and the ball is back in the stand.
Another hopeless corner from Thomas Tuchel’s side.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    83. Bellerin stretches out his leg to turn away a lofted pass intended for Hudson-Odoi.
It’s a fine interception but comes at the cost of a corner, and possibly a hamstring tweak. The Spanish defender requires some physio treatment.

    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    80. Into the final ten minutes, and Chelsea need two goals if they are to leapfrog Leicester and move third.
Their last shot on target came in the 28th minute.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    79. And the contrast is Pierre-Emericak Aubameyang, who trudges off at a snail’s pace as he’s replaced by Alexandre Lacazette.
Thomas Tuchel was full of praise for his former player before the game, but he’s not going be impressed by this show of timewasting.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    77. A rare display of pace from Cesar Azpilicueta as he sprints off the pitch to be replaced by Hakim Ziyech.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    75. A lovely run from Smith Rowe! The Arsenal goalscorer leaves Azpilicueta for dead, tricks his way past James, and then nutmegs Thiago Silva.
It ultimately comes to nothing, but it’s definitely going in Emile’s scrapbook.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    72. Are Chelsea beginning to run out of ideas and patience? There is certainly frustration creeping into the body language of some players.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    70. An accidental clash of knees between Pulisic and Gabriel has the American hobbling away in some discomfort.
With an FA Cup final and a Champions League final on the horizon, Thomas Tuchel won’t want to pick up any needless injuries.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    68. At the other end, Chelsea’s substitute has sight of goal but Olivier Giroud hasn’t had the time to set his sights yet.
That’s our kind excuse for why he might have sliced so horribly wide.
    CHELSEA 0-1 ARSENAL
    67. A rare foray forward from Arsenal, and their second attempt of the game.
The shot on the turn comes from Bellerin, seconds after his introduction.
Either he’s on to change the impetus of this one, or he didn’t get the memo.

Inter Milan 3 Roma 1 LIVE REACTION: Conte’s side dominate Roma in comfortable San Siro victory – latest updates

INTER MILAN made it an extra-celebratory night at the San Siro by beating Roma 3-1 thanks to goals from Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino and Romelu Lukaku.
    RESULT: Inter Milan 3-1 Roma
    Inter Milan XI: 97 Radu, 37 Skriniar, 13 Ranocchia, 33 D’Ambrosio, 36 Darmian, 23 Barella, 77 Brozovic, 8 Vecino, 14 Perisic, 9 Lukaku, 7 Sanchez
    Roma XI: 87 Furzato, 2 Karsdorp, 23 Mancini, 24 Kumbula, 18 Santon, 55 Darboe, 4 Cristante, 11 Pedro, 7 Pellegrini, 77 Mkhitaryan, 9 Dzeko

Follow ALL the build-up and action with our live blog below…
    THANKS FOR JOINING US
That’s all from us tonight, as goals from Matteo Brozovic, Matias Vecino and Romelu Lukaku saw Champions Inter to a 3-1 victory over Roma.
Henrik Mhikitaryan scored for the visitors to make it 2-1 after half an hour, and Roma did create plenty of chances in the second half.
They couldn’t make them pay though, as Achraf Hakimi put the ball on a plate for Romelu Lukaku in stoppage time to seal all three points for the Nerazzurri.
It’s the first time Antonio Conte has beaten Roma since 2015 and ends a run of six consecutive Serie A draws between the sides.
Next up for Conte’s side is a mouthwatering clash away at Juventus on Saturday, before they finish the season away at Udinese a week later.
Roma meanwhile have the derby game with Lazio on Saturday, and finish the season away at relegation threatened Spezia.
    That’s all for tonight though.
Thanks for joining us, it’s been a pleasure.
    STAT ATTACK
Inter have registered 88 points so far in this season’s Serie A.
Only once have they done better in their history, posting 97 points in the 2006/07 season.
Two wins from their final two games would see the Nerazzurri finish on 94 points.
    ALL SMILES
It was all smiles between former Manchester United man Romelu Lukaku and former Manchester City man Edin Dzeko at full time.
Lukaku got himself on the scoresheet tonight, while Edin Dzeko was unlucky not to.
He saw one effort crash off the post and saw another fly just wide of the post.

    AS IT STANDS
Here’s what that result means for the league table.
Champions Inter stay top while Roma’s slim hopes of European football are gone.
It’s been a disappointing campaign for Paulo Fonseca’s side.
He has just two games left as Roma boss before Jose Mourinho takes over in the summer.

    MATCH STATS
Here’s a look at the match stats from tonight’s game.
Roma managed more shots and the same number of shots on target as the hosts, but it was Inter who made their chances count.
The game may have gone a different way if Edin Dzeko hadn’t seen his second half strike cannon off the post.

    DECIDER
How about this for a counter attack.
Romelu Lukaku seals the three points for Antonio Conte’s side after a textbook counter attack from the Serie A Champions.

    AT WHAT COST?
Inter may have won the game, but at what cost?
Lautaro Martinez, who came on for Alexis Sanchez in the first half, was substituted in the second half and did not react well.
He had a heated disagreement with Antonio Conte on the touchline.

    PEEEEEEEEEEEEP!
    THAT’S FULL TIME!
    INTER 3-1 ROMA!
    THE CHAMPIONS MARCH ON!
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    91. CLOSE!
Edin Dzeko spins away from Skriniar and tries a low curling effort with his left foot from the edge of the box.
He can’t quite wrap all of his foot around it and sees the ball drift just wide of the post.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    90. Roma throw bodies forward and lose the ball, allowing Inter to break.
There’s still plenty of work to do, but some excellent first time football sees Hakimi through on goal.
He’s got Lukaku bursting forward for company and squares the ball across goal for the Belgian striker to slam home and seal all three points!
    GOOOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!
    GAME OVER!
ROMELU LUKAKU SEALS THE THREE POINTS!
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    88. Roma substitutions.
Darboe and Karsdorp are off for Carles Perez and Bruno Peres.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    87. BRILLIANT DEFENDING!
Karsdorp curls in an excellent cross in from the right, begging to be headed in.
It looks for all the world that El Shaarawy is going to nod in from close range, but Ranocchia comes flying out of nowhere to head behind!
    That is an unbelievable clearance!
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    85. NO PENALTY!
It doesn’t look like Darboe has made any contact on Pinamonte, who goes down very theatrically.
The Roma man is lucky to get away with his pass though, it was straight into the path of Pinamonte but the substitute couldn’t finish.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    84. Darboe plays the ball straight into the path of Pinamonte on the edge of his own box.
Pinamonte fires an effort over the bar before going down under a challenge from Darboe who is scrambling back.
The referee signals for a free kick but VAR will have a look at this one…
    VAR REVIEW!
INTER MILAN ARE SCREAMING FOR A PENALTY!
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    83. Poor effort.
Ashley Young is the man to take it, but sends his effort flying over the bar.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    81. Roma yellow card.
Karsdorp is into the book for a foul on Hakimi on the edge of the Roma box.
This is in a dangerous position for a shot on goal, about twenty yards out, just to the left of the goal.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    80. Ten minutes left to play in Milan.
Roma still look the more likely to score the third, but Inter are very dangerous on the break.
    INTER 2-1 ROMA
    78. Lautaro Martinez, who came on late in the first half for the injured Alexis Sanchez, is NOT happy to be replaced.
He sends a water bottle flying as he walks off the pitch.
Antonio Conte responds with some words of his own.
