    That’s all from Anfield
It’s despair for Everton as the day belongs to Liverpool, but will it be a similar case come the end of the season?
The Reds hard-fought 2-0 win keeps them in the title race, hot on the heels of Manchester City, and still dreaming of a seemingly-impossible quadrupled.
The Toffees are also tracking a Lancashire club in Burnley, whose two wins in four days, have left those at Goodison Park seriously contemplating their 68-year stay in the top flight.
The run-in is all set up for more twists and turns than a Mo Salah counter attack, and you won’t miss a single one with us here at SunSport.
    Goodnight.
    Extra! Read all about it!
Before calling it a night from Anfield, let’s recap on the an entertaining if often fractious encounter with Dave Kidd’s match report of Liverpool’s 2-0 Merseyside derby win over Everton.
For 62 minutes, Frank Lampard pulled off his best Jose Mourinho impersonation and frustrated the hell out of Anfield. By the time Andy Robertson finally broke the deadlock, Everton had enjoyed 13 per cent of ball possession and yet they should have had a penalty and Liverpool should have been reduced to ten men.
    Next five for struggling Everton
The threat of relegation is very real after two Burnley wins in four days catapulted the Clarets above Everton to leave the Toffees in the dropzone.
Frank Lampard’s team have six games still to play this season, and end the campaign with an away trip to Arsenal.
Can they get themselves out of the state they are in?

    Klopp hails super sub Origi
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp sent for Divock Origi when he needed him, and – once again – the Belgian did not let him down.
The striker is set to leave at Anfield, and the Reds boss knows he will struggle to find another forward that good, who is prepared to wait for his moments to shine.
I will never ever miss a player more than Divock Origi. He’ll explode wherever he goes, he is a world class striker. He’s not playing regularly here, and sometimes he doesn’t even make the bench which is absolutely ridiculous. When we need him, he’s always there. He’s a legend and will stay a legend with me forever. Without Divock, today would not have happened.Jurgen KloppSky Sports

    Lampard upbeat despite defeat
Frank Lampard was disappointed by the scoreline, but proud of his players for the way that they battled against their stellar neighbours – particularly in the opening 45 minutes – and hopes that it can set the tone for the run-in ahead.
I thought we played well. I don’t know what [the statistics] look like in terms of possession, but the gameplan was understanding that they’re one of the best teams in the world so could we be disciplined and work hard within that? Yeah. Could we break and create chances? Yeah. They didn’t threaten our goal at all in the first half.Frank LampardSky Sports

    Toffees in sticky situation
Another defeat on the road – their 11th in 13 winless away games – coupled with Burnley’s victory earlier in the day has left Everton marooned in the bottom three.
Meanwhile, at the top, Liverpool have again cut Manchester City’s lead to a single point. Both the title race and relegation scrap look destined to go to the final day.

    Brighton 2-2 Chelsea
    Burnley 1-0 Wolves
    Chelsea 1-0 West Ham
    Liverpool 2-0 Everton

    Divock does it again
It’s his last season at Anfield, but Divock Origi is determined to leave the fans that love him on a high.
He’s certainly helped his case today by bagging yet another goal against their local rivals.

    Reds thankful for Robbo’s touches
Liverpool are lauding Andy Robertson tonight after the Scot showed his worth at both ends of the pitch.
Not only did the left-back pop up with a header to open the scoring in a hard-fought contest, he also got a vital foot in inside his own six-yard box to deny Alex Iwobi a certain equaliser.
It was so hard. We started playing their game instead of our own, but I’ve been in a relegation battle and I know what it’s like. We had to be patient, and in the second half we played a lot better. I’m delighted to get my first goal in front of the Kop.Andy RobertsonSky Sports

    Match stats from Anfield
The stats may suggest a dominant Liverpool victory, but they had to work incredibly hard to eventually get the better of their near neighbours.

Full time – Liverpool 2-0 Everton
    It’s all over at Anfield!
The city of Liverpool will be painted red this evening as Liverpool eventually saw off the challenge to beat Everton.
Second half goals from Andy Roberson and regular Toffees-buster Divock Origi ensured Jurgen Klopp’s team moved back within a point of Manchester City to keep the quadruple dream alive.
As for Everton, they showed some real fight, particularly in the first half, and they’re going to need a lot more of it over the next month.

    Liverpool 2-0 Everton
90+1. The biggest cheer of the day goes up around Anfield as Alisson claims the ball, and then flops to the floor with it – just as Jordan Pickford had repeatedly done at 0-0.
    Lovely stuff.
Liverpool 2-0 Everton – Richarlison yellow card
    90. Oof! That’s not keeping their cool!
Richarlison battles with Henderson on the near touchline, loses out in the challenge, and then loses his head.
With his boot placed against the Liverpool midfielder’s shin, the Brazilian puts extra force into kicking him away, and sends him high up in the air.
Fearing a red card, Doucoure rushes over to remonstrate with the stricken Henderson while Stuart Atwell observes the situation.
Eventually, the referee consults with his linesman and then books the Brazilian.
Richarlison and Everton can count themselves lucky.

Liverpool 2-0 Everton – Alli yellow card
    88. A slight piece of ill-discipline as Dele Alli is cautioned for a late challenge.
Everton have to keep their cool now for the challenge ahead.
    Liverpool 2-0 Everton
    85. Once again, Divock Origi saves his best moments in a Liverpool shirt for the visit of Everton!
The Belgian has his first goal at Anfield in three years since he scored twice against – you guessed it – the Toffees.
And it’s a strike that highlights the tactical genius of Jurgen Klopp with all three of his Liverpool substitutes playing their part.
At the second phase from a set-piece, Jordan Henderson curls in a cross, Luis Diaz whips a scissors-kick back across goal, and there is Origi to head home from point blank range.
Liverpool are going back within one point of Manchester City!
Everton’s season is going to the wire!

Goal! Divock Origi makes it two!
Liverpool 1-0 Everton – Liverpool substitution
    82. Another change for the home side.
Jordan Henderson has been called upon, and immediately claims the captain’s armband from Virgil van Dijk.
Will the midfielder bring a cool and calm head, or is he a surefire yellow card?
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    80. Ten minutes to go, and you can cut the tension with a knife.
“Not just here, but in Manchester too,” points out Martin Tyler.
    Not to mention Burnley.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    79. The visitors are finally applying some pressure.
Alli gets into the area and finds Iwobi, whose shot is kept out by a brilliant block from Robertson.
The Scot has shown his worth at both ends of the pitch.
Liverpool 1-0 Everton – Everton substitution
    77. When the going gets tough, send for Salomon Rondon.
The veteran striker is on for Demarai Gray.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    76. Another player down in the box, another claim for a penalty, another shake of the head from Stuart Atwell.
This time it’s Origi that goes down, but only because Keane was far too strong in the challenge for the Belgian.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    75. Into the final 15 minutes at Anfield. It promises to be a huge quarter of an hour in the seasons of both of these famous old clubs.
Liverpool 1-0 Everton – Everton substitution
    73. Here’s Everton’s first change – providing you don’t count the one they were forced into before kick-off.
On comes Dele Alli for Allan. If ever there was a time for the former England start to restart his career…
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    72. Ooof! Demarai Gray is so close to a spectacular equaliser!
It’s great work again from Gordon on the left, who carries the ball forward at pace, evades a challenge and then holds up play in search of support.
It arrives in Gray, who takes on Gordon’s pass first time with a thumping drive from 30 yards that whistles inches wide of the goal and crashes into the stanchion holding the net in place.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    71. Jurgen Klopp’s changes helped to turn the game in Liverpool’s favour. It now looks as though Frank Lampard is preparing a switch of his own.
    Liverpool 1-0 Everton
    70. Luis Diaz has made a real difference to Liverpool’s game.
The Colombian has impressed more in ten minutes than Mane did in an hour.

    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    36. The Toffees are battling for everything here.
Doucoure and Coleman set about getting at Mane on this near flank, and, when they succeed, the pair share an overly-aggressive high five.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    34. Pass and move, it’s the Liverpool groove.
However, Everton’s method of getting the ball upfield as quickly as possibly is looking a worthwhile option too.
Richarlison’s pass has Doucoure galloping into the area, but his shot across goal doesn’t trouble Alisson.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    32. Liverpool’s possession over the past ten minutes is now up to 92%.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    30. A half chance for Jota!
The Portuguese forward’s movement helps escape his marker, and allows him to reach Robertson’s pull-back on the volley.
Unfortunately for the Liverpool man, he can’t get the angle on his sidefooted volley.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    28. On the edge of his own area, Allan decides he doesn’t want to aimlessly boot upfield with nobody there so instead sends his clearance…
    …out for a corner?
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    27. By the way, Jota won the free-kick for that incident.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    26. The Everton players are up for this one, and that is occasionally boiling over as the heat is turned up.
And there are none more heated that Seamus Coleman, who is livid after Diogo Jota floored him with an arm thrust in his direction by Diogo Jota.
There are no cards on this occasion
Liverpool 0-0 Everton – Gordon yellow card
    24. Everton attack again, and once more it’s Gordon in possession.
The forward cuts inside Keita in the box, goes over his leg, and hits the turf right in front of referee Stuart Atwell.
The official takes his time and then blows his whistle. With those on the Kop fearing a penalty decision, Atwell produces the yellow card and books Gordon for simulation.
Replays show that the referee is absolutely bang on with this one too. An awful dive.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    23. Richarlison forces Everton’s first corner.
Gordon whips it in but can’t get the height on it to truly test the Liverpool defence. As a result, it’s comfortably cleared at the near post.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    21. Brilliant from Mane, who receives the ball with his back to goal, turns on a sixpence, and whips a fierce curler just over from 25 yards
It’s Liverpool’s first attempt of the game.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    19. Liverpool have had more than 85% of possession since this game got underway.
Of course that means Everton have so far had the only two shots.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    17. Atwell awards Everton a free-kick for a foul by Alexander-Arnold on Gordon.
Inevitably, it was far, far softer than the challenge he just let go.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    16. The visitors come forward again with Doucoure releasing Gordon with a weighted through ball.
The young Everton forward finds himself in a footrace with Alexander-Arnold, and goes to ground when a hand in the back from his opponent sends him sprawling.
Stuart Atwell takes a long look, and then – inexplicably – waves play on.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    14. Real intent from Gray, who has the trickery to cut inside from the left, beat one defender, and then another.
With a strike at goal now on his mind, the forward lets fly, but can’t get his shot beyond a third defender that blocks.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    12. Jordan Pickford takes his time with a free-kick just outside of his penalty area.
I wonder what data Opta have on the earliest incidents of time wasting in the Premier League.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    10. Liverpool have clocked up 98 passes in the opening ten minutes of this match.
    Everton, you ask? Seven.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    8. The Anfield boos are ringing out for Richarlison.
The home fans believe the Brazilian has made the most of a slight coming together with Fabinho, who caught his compatriot in the face with a slight flick of the hand.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    7. An early chance for Salah to test the Everton defence with a run in from the right.
It’s a test that Mykolenko passes too, standing up to the Egyptian and then confidently winning the ball back.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    5. Ever the bright spark in the Everton ranks, Gordon draws a clumsy challenge from Fabinho and wins a free-kick for the visitors 25 yards from goal.
Gray takes charge of the set-piece, but sends his curler straight into the wall.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    3. A early morale booster for Keane, who steps out of defence to claim possession, and then plays a long ball down the line for Richarlison to chase.
It’s been a difficult season for the defender, and as a late replacement for the injured Godfrey, he’ll be under pressure for a performance this afternoon.
    Liverpool 0-0 Everton
    2. It takes less than 90 seconds for the Liverpool fans to goad their counterparts with chants of “going down! going down!”
So much for this being the friendly derby.
    Kick-off – Liverpool v Everton
    1. As the final strains of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” fade from the stands, it’s Everton and Allan that get this encounter away.
It’s a Merseyside derby as it should be with Liverpool in red, Everton in blue, and the atmosphere off the scale.
    Here come the two teams!
Anfield is rocking! The travelling Everton fans are in fine voice, but even they are being drowned out by noise emanating from the Kop.
As the players wait in the tunnel, nobody is looking another in the eye. Are they simply focused, or could it be nerves?
Eventually they get the nod, and it’s over to Virgin van Dijk and Seamus Coleman to lead their respective teams out to the cauldron of noise that awaits.
It’s a huge occasion, and a game of the upmost importance to both clubs and differing ends of the table.
    Kick-off is moments away.
    More concern for troubled Toffees
As if Frank Lampard didn’t have enough to contend with, the Everton boss now has to deal with an injury sustained by one of his starters in the warm-up.
Ben Godfrey has hobbled away from the pitch, and it’s now Michael Keane who is participating in the back four drills ahead of kick-off.
In fact, it has just been confirmed that Keane officially replaces the young centre-back alongside Mason Holgate.
    Mind the gap, Frank Lampard
Less than one mile separates Anfield and Goodison Park, but when it comes to their status in the Premier League, the distance between the two clubs is much greater.
In fact, it’s never been as big as the 47 points that currently separate them. Another home win and that will be 50 come this evening.

Tommy Fury fight vs Daniel Bocianski LIVE RESULTS: Huge KNOCKDOWN scored in impressive display – latest

TOMMY FURY has beaten Daniel Bocianski on the undercard of brother Tyson Fury vs Dillian Whyte at Wembley.Ex-Love Islander Fury impressed in the win, scoring two HUGE knockdowns en route to a points victory.
The younger Fury, 22, was forced to pull out of a taking on Jake Paul in a lucrative clash in December after suffering a chest infection and a broken rib.

BETTING SPECIAL – GET FURY AT 30/1 OR WHYTE AT 100/1
    Fighting words
Fury says: “I’ll cut you and chop you to bits, just like I did there. That lad in there would kill Jake Paul on the spot.
“He’d slap Jake Paul. Jake Paul – I will end your career. You’re a bum and you’re no good. Let’s get this fight done.”
    Fury speaks
He has a lot to say does TNT…

    Fury BEATS Bocianski!
The referee has it 60-54 in favour of Tommy Fury.
Solid night’s work but not the KO he’d have wanted.

    Fury vs Bocianski – R6
We’re into the final round and Fury looks like he’s trying to compose himself a little before perhaps trying to launch one last attack.
Some more big right hands from Fury, who ducks one of Bocianski’s incoming rights and tries to swing over the top himself.
Into the final minute and both men look like they’ve accepted it’s going the distance.
A good effort from Tommy tonight but didn’t quite have enough to get the stoppage he was looking for.
He’s won every round at least.
Fury KNOCKS DOWN Bocianski – R5
Fury paws that jab out again with some ferocity and it’s clear now he’s really looking to get the stoppage.
Bocianski goes down but it’s ruled a clip and Fury is warned about hitting on the back of the head.
Fury looks anxious to get a stoppage and make a statement but Bocianski lands a big right of his own.
But Fury gets knockdown to end the round!
    A huge right hand!
    Fury vs Bocianski – R4
More big shots from Fury and it looks like Bocianski is finally starting to wilt a little.
Fury chases his man down but tries to loop a right hand the misses the target by quite some distance.
A mark starting to form under the left eye of Bocianski, who, at this point, will just be looking to make the final bell.
    Fury vs Bocianski – R3
Tommy looks like he’s come out this round trying to get the stoppage but it’s going to be hard with a negative opponent.
He comes close, backs his man up but is still unable to land the punch he’s after.
Onto round four we go. Use that jab, Tommy!
    Fury vs Bocianski – R2
Fury stumbles his opponent early! And the crowd are loving this but Tyson’s younger brother is unable to follow it up again.
He gets back on his jab as Bocianski looks to try and cool things down a little.
But Fury lands another big right hand, before stepping out and coming down the middle with another right.
Bocianski keeps trying to hold on and the referee gives him a little warning but Fury comes back full force once again.
    Fury vs Bocianski – R1
A few long, rangey, pawing jabs to kick things off for Fury, who has girlfriend Molly-Mae sat in the front row.
Bocianski tries to assert himself with a couple of looping right hands but Fury evades them with ease and comes back with his own firepower.
Fury then gets on the front foot, lands a big jab that stifles his opponent but is unable to get off with much more than that.
    Round 1 for Tommy.
    Tommy Fury vs Daniel Bocianski
    The fight is underway!
    Tommy Fury ring-walk
And making his walk now to Rihanna’s Live Your Life, it’s Tommy Fury!
    Big tune.
    Daniel Bocianski is here
To the tune of Freed From Desire, here comes Tommy Fury’s opponent.
Tommy Fury vs Daniel Bocianski is NEXT!
Just moments away from Tommy Fury’s ring-walk here at Wembley.
    Itauma STOPS Ciach
    The Brit gets it done!
Big shots raining down on his opponent and the referee waves it off as Ciach goes to get up.
    Itauma vs Ciach – R1
A big round already for Itauma as he lands heavy power shots and backs his man up against the ropes multiple times.
Ciach stumbled back at one point and had the ropes hold him up with Itauma stumbling into him.
    Big round for the Brit.
    Karol Itauma vs Michal Ciach
The final fight before Tommy Fury’s clash with Daniel Bocianski is on NOW!
    Tommy wants Paul stadium fight
Fury, 22, told SunSport: “It would be a dream come true to have that fight over here in Britain.
“We could definitely sell out a stadium here, not a problem because it is a huge fight.
“If you look down the comments of people who talk about that fight, the No1 guy they want to see him face is me.
“And that’s because I’m his own age, his own weight, his size and I actually box, unlike anyone he’s fought before.
“I do believe that is the only fight out there for him to take.”

    Weight on point
Tommy Fury looked as chiselled as can be at the weigh-in on friday.

    Fury on Jake Paul
“In my eyes, that fight is always there. If he wants the big fights and the big numbers and the big pay-per-views, he knows where to come,” Fury told talkSPORT.
“As for pulling out of the fight. You know, it was one of the worst times of my life because it was something that we all work towards as a boxer.
“To headline a major event in America is something we just want and train for all our lives.
“For it to be two weeks away and then come out with such a devastating injury with a broken rib and being told not to fight by three medical doctors.
“It was a hard blow to take, and it still is when I think back about it.”
    Who is Daniel Bocianski?
Daniel Bocianski, 27, is a Polish light-heavyweight boxer with a pro record of 10-1.
Two of the star’s 10 victories have come by knockout.
All 11 of Bocianski’s previous fights have taken place in his native Poland and he now fights abroad for the first time in his career.
Bocianski stands at 6ft 3ins tall, which is three inches taller than 6ft 0in Fury.
    Good evening!
Welcome to SunSport’s live coverage of Tommy Fury vs Daniel Bocianski!
Fury hasn’t fought since a decision win over Anthony Taylor back in August.
But tonight he takes on an opponent with a winning boxing record in hopes of securing a Jake Paul pay-day.
The bout is expected to take place at around 7pm BST.
We’ll have you covered throughout the night.
    Tommy Fury in action
Tommy Fury continues his fledgling boxing career on the undercard of big brother Tyson’s fight against Dillian Whyte at Wembley Stadium.
And next up in his way is 10-1 Polish star Daniel Bocianski, who the ex-Love Island winner Fury says is the toughest test of his career as he returns to the ring for the first time since August 2021.
Fury, 22, told SunSport: “I’m looking to take my time and put on a masterclass performance.
“I’ve said this all training camp, I really want people to see that I am a legitimate contender and I want people to walk away from this fight and say, ‘Wow, who is this guy?’
“Because what I’m doing in the gym and what I do on fight night, it hasn’t resembled, whereas this time it will.
“Everything I’m doing in sparring now is all professional, it’s all seasoned work and I’m going to take that into the ring and I’m sure everyone will be gobsmacked with what they see.”

Harry Maguire told to leave Man Utd in 72 hours in horror bomb threat, Kalvin Phillips transfer talks, Ronaldo latest

MANCHESTER UNITED captain Harry Maguire has been left shocked after receiving a bomb threat.A psychotic fan warned the England centre-back to leave United in 72 hours or die.
Interim boss Ralf Rangnick said: “This is another bad sign of the crazy world we’re living in and obviously I feel sorry for Harry that he had that terrible experience.”
Fortunately, police found no suspicious item after searching the England star’s house with sniffer dogs.
Meanwhile, Man Utd are looking to make Kalvin Phillips their first signing under Eric Ten Hag, according to reports.
The Red Devils are said to have began talks over a £60m transfer from Leeds.
And Cristiano Ronaldo has returned to training just three days after the tragic death of his unborn son.
Stay up to date with all the latest from Old Trafford in our live blog…
    Xhaka reacts on Arsenal win
Arsenal ace Granit Xhaka said he “likes” to score against Manchester United after his goal at the Emirates.
Xhaka told BT Sport: “I’m very happy I helped the team with the goal. It’s a long time since I scored.
“It’s always good to score at home with the fans. With the family I had here today as well. But the most important thing is the points.
“I like to score against United. To win 3-1 against United is very important. It is not the first time we score and concede straight away, we did it twice against Chelsea.
“We have to be more clever and strong mentally. They missed a penalty which helped us a lot, and after 3-1 the game was finished”
    United out of Rudiger race
Manchester United are unlikely to sign departing Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger in the summer transfer window.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who reports that United are “out of the race” for Rudiger’s signature, as are Bayern Munich.
Paris Saint-Germain are thought to be interested in a free transfer, with Juventus also keen on the centre-back.
But Real Madrid appear to be the frontrunners for the Germany international, who has also lowered his wage demands
    Antonio Rudiger ‘Over’
Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger will definitely leave in the summer upon the expiry of his deal.
But Rudiger won’t be joining Manchester United as a free agent during the next transfer window.
That is according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who confirmed “it’s over” and there is no longer any hope of the centre-back penning an extension.
And Romano claims the Germany international is “close” to reaching an agreement with Real Madrid
    Mikel Arteta reacts
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta claims the battle for fourth place will still be a “rollercoaster” despite the victory over Manchester United.
Arteta told BT Sport: “It’s a big performance in a game that had everything.
“We created chances, we had to suffer, there were moments when we lacked energy and they were on top, we were really efficient in the boxes, we had luck.
“They have exceptional players, and I am so happy to win the game. This [the fight for fourth place] is going to be a rollercoaster. Today it went in our favour”
    Credit: GETTY IMAGES
    Rangnick on top four
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick claims the “top four is gone” after the loss to Arsenal.
Rangnick told BT Sport: “It would have helped us a lot if [the missed penalty] was the equaliser and would have changed the whole game.
“But we didn’t, we hit the post, we hit the post twice, plus the crossbar. So in the end, very unlucky for us.
“There is nothing about the attitude of the players that we should fault today.”
“Even before this game it was not very likely, but after this result top four is gone, yes”
    Ralf Rangnick reacts
Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick criticised VAR after the loss to Arsenal.
Rangnick told BT Sport: “We showed an improved performance, but in the end, it’s a disappointing result.
“We bounced back well from the early goal and had numerous chances to score more goals. The only weak side of our performance was that we didn’t defend well inside and around [the] box.
“For me there were also three unlucky VAR decisions. The third goal of Arsenal was clearly offside, David [de Gea] said to me he couldn’t see the ball.
“The second goal of Cristiano was definitely not offside. There was another handball decision in the first half. We were not happy with those VAR decisions, but it was an improved performance”

    Arteta on Ronaldo
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has admitted that he can’t comprehend the pain Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo must be feeling after the death of his newborn son.
Arteta said: “I don’t think I’m allowed to talk about something like that because unless you experience it you cannot be on the same level to express or to go through the pain.
“What this country and league have shown with what happened at Anfield the other day I think is exceptional.
“Sports should be leading to find some unity at the human level that sometimes is missing.
“It was a great example and something to be really proud to be participating in a league where some clubs and people involved in this sport are able to show such a thing”
    Kalvin Phillips interest
Manchester United have started working on a deal to sign Leeds star Kalvin Phillips.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Whites value Phillips between £50-£60million and United have opened talks with the Yorkshire club.
Aston Villa are also said to be interested in the midfielder and are reportedly prepared to bid £60m to land the 26-year-old.
But the Red Devils have identified the England international as a top target in place of Declan Rice after West Ham placed a £150m asking price on their star man
    Maguire receives horror bomb threat
A maniac told Manchester United captain Harry Maguire they would detonate three bombs planted at his home if he did not quit the club.
The criminal gave Maguire 72 hours to quit United after claiming three bombs were planted at his home.
The threat, emailed to the centre-back’s agent, said the devices would be detonated if he refused to meet the deadline.
The 29-year-old was at the Carrington training ground when the terrifying message was delivered on Wednesday, a day after the Red Devils lost 4-0 to Liverpool.

    Countdown to kick off
There’s just over two-and-a-half hours to go until the Red Devils are back in action.
Ralf Rangnick’s side are set to be buoyed by the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, who is available to play following the heartbreaking death of his baby son earlier in the week.
CR7 missed Tuesday night’s clash at Anfield after being granted compassionate leave by the club, before returning to training on Wednesday.
Scott McTominay is also back after missing the last two games, as is Raphael Varane.
    Pre-match stat attack
Recent history at the Emirates doesn’t exactly favour Manchester United.
Arsenal are unbeaten in their last three Premier League home games against the Red Devils.
United have lost two and drawn one of their last three trips to north London.
Ralf Rangnick will be desperate to put an end to that record today, otherwise it’s effectively curtains for United’s Champions League hopes.

Interim boss Ralf Rangick has hailed Erik ten Hag as the “best choice the club could make”.
He told United’s official website: “To start with, I think it’s good that we know who the new permanent manager will be.
“I haven’t met Erik in person but, from what I’ve seen and what I’ve heard from people who have worked with him – I know some people with whom I’ve worked very closely and very intensely with together – that he’s a very communicative, a very modern head coach.
“I think this is a very good choice, probably one of the best, if not the best, choice the club could make.
“Now it’s about him moulding his coaching staff, together with the club and the scouting department and the board, also to rebuild the squad and I’m pretty positive that, with a good pre-season and the help and assistance of all the people involved in the club, that we can change things for the better.”
Ten Hag eyeing De Jong reunion
Newly appointed Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag reportedly wants to reunite with Frenkie de Jong at Old Trafford.
De Jong played under Ten Hag at Ajax, before moving on to Barcelona.
And Spanish outlet Sport claim Ten Hag is lining up a move for his former star.
With Paul Pogba set to depart, central midfield is a priority area for the Red Devils this summer.
De Jong fits the bill perfectly, with Ten Hag already said to have shortlisted him for a summer move.

    Haller speaks on Ten Hag
Ajax striker Sebastien Haller has revealed how Erik ten Hag told his current players he would be leaving at the end of the season to join Manchester united.
Initially asked about Ten Hag in general, Haller told Sky Sports: “What he’s like is like just working with a professional.
“Someone really professional and into his job. Nothing is by random, he’s ready for every situation, so he’ll give safety to the players.”
Then when asked what Ten Hag told the players, Haller added: “He’s just said he’s going to move.
“It’s professional now, so we need to finish the season, he’s aware of that and really focused on this goal for us, and then he has time to speak about his next move.
“A top coach is always good for the Premier League, but nothing is easy to say. It depends how it will go and how much confidence he will have, and the freedom he will have as well.”
