The bow comes six months after she reached the quarter-finals in Tokyo – losing only to the eventual gold winner – in a sensational achievement for a girl her age.
But the little sister of heavyweight star Daniel, has set the bar so high she will beat herself with the near miss until she has gold around her lightweight waist instead of her neck.
The Shane McGuigan-trained starlet told SunSport: “The Olympic loss still haunts me every night, I go to bed and lie there kicking myself.
“It’s the same every night, why didn’t I do a little bit more? Why didn’t I throw this punch or that punch to get it over the line?
“I need to start fighting now to prove right everybody that backed me and supported me to go and win a medal.
“And I want to prove anyone who doubted me after my loss very wrong.
“I hope eventually I can use it as a tool, it will push me in training and I know that if I am ever in a close fight again then I will remember what it felt like to lose.
“I will remember that pain and anger and disappointment and not let it happen again.”

Caroline’s painful final amateur loss came eight months after sibling Daniel’s crushing first pro defeat, when the 6ft 5in powerhouse was beaten into submission by Joe Joyce.
Up on the Church House balcony in Westminster Caroline, a foot smaller and 8st lighter, was the loudest person in the venue and was left heartbroken when her big bro succumbed.
It was a horrible reminder of the brutal business she is entering against Vaida Masiokaite.
“It was horrible to be there and watch because I could not do anything,” she said. “I wasn’t in the ring or the corner. He’s my brother and I would do anything to help him, I was only a few feet away but I was helpless.
“But this boxing, it’s the sport me and my brother are in, it’s the sport we love but also sometimes love to hate.
“I love boxing but I hate watching Daniel. I would rather be in the gym training hard with aches and pains, taking punches myself, than watching him. I hate everything about my brother fighting.
“But I know he loves doing it because he is fighting for his family and himself and he has built a real crowd and fansbase who want to see him do well, that part is what I like.”

Caroline was tipped to enter the paid ranks alongside Daniel on BT Sport but she has joined the Sky Sports boxing revolution, perhaps with ulterior motives.
“People have always talked about us making history by fighting on the same night, same card but I would hate that,” she grinned.
“I was very loud when Daniel boxed, I couldn’t help it. But when I fight you won’t hear a word from him. He will be calm and relaxed, he and my little brother Prince are very calm, not like me.
“I would be so interested and worried about him that I would not concentrate on my own fight.
“So that’s not happening, no shared show, no way.”

AMIR KHAN is finally set to face great rival Kell Brook in a massive domestic grudge match THIS MONTH. Khan and Brook have been touted for a big dust-up for years but have never managed to put pen-to-paper on a deal.

Now that both fighters are at the ends of their careers, Khan and Brook have put their egos aside at the negotiating table to give boxing fans what they’ve been after for so long.
Khan hasn’t been in action for over two years, having last beat Billy Dib in a farcical fight back in the summer of 2019.
Before that he lost a world title fight at welterweight against pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford, who he’s know training with in Nebraska ahead of his clash with Brook.
And it was Crawford who Brook last fought in November 2020, when Bud stopped Special K in the fourth round of their Las Vegas match-up.

When is Khan vs Brook?
Khan’s massive clash with Brook will take place on Saturday, February 19 in Manchester.
The bout will be held at the AO Arena, which hosted Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker 2.
The event sold out in minutes and there will be 20,000 fans in attendance at the event.
Ring-walks for the main event will get underway from around 10.30pm UK time.

Khan said: “In the past 10 years I have fought two of the best pound-for-pound best fighters.
“I have never run from Kell. I have never needed to. What I have achieved speaks for itself.
“There is no point crying about the past. In the past he hasn’t deserved this fight. Come February 19 it will be time to see if he can back those words up.

AN Argentinian football manager slammed Jamie Carragher after the Liverpool legend revealed Lionel Messi called him a donkey in an Instagram message.The Sky Sports pundit went public with the message about Nestor Gorosito on Friday Night Football after Watford’s defeat by Norwich.

And Carragher reveal saying he wouldn’t be showing the details but insisted the former Barcelona striker, 34, had insulted Gorosito after he questioned his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The retired Liverpool hero went on to profess his love and admiration for the “greatest player of all time.”
But overnight Gorosito, whose former clubs included River Plate and San Lorenzo tried to inflame the spat by branding Carragher “rubbish.”
He trolled the ex-Anfield defender, 43, in an explosive Twitter message, writing: “This lump of wood talks badly about Messi, what madness!!”
The former Argentina midfielder, 57, currently manages Gimnasia La Plata where Diego Maradona was in charge until his death from heart failure in November 2020.

AMIR KHAN is finally set to face longtime rival Kell Brook in a massive domestic grudge match next month. Khan and Brook have been touted for a big dust-up for years but have never managed to put pen-to-paper on a deal.

Now that both fighters are at the ends of their careers, Khan and Brook have put their egos aside at the negotiating table to give boxing fans what they’ve been after for so long.
Khan hasn’t been in action for over two years, having last beat Billy Dib in a farcical fight back in the summer of 2019.
Before that he lost a world title fight at welterweight against pound-for-pound star Terence Crawford, who he’s know training with in Nebraska ahead of his clash with Brook.
And it was Crawford who Brook last fought in November 2020, when Bud stopped Special K in the fourth round of their Las Vegas match-up.
In a fight which could define both fighters’ careers, Brook and Khan will put it all on the line when they meet in the middle of the ring at the AO Arena in February.
When is Khan vs Brook?
Khan’s massive clash with Brook will take place on Saturday, February 19 in Manchester.
The bout will be held at the AO Arena, which recently hosted Derek Chisora vs Joseph Parker 2.
The event sold out in minutes and there will be 20,000 fans in attendance at the event.

DEFENDING Africa Cup of Nations winners get their tournament underway against Sierra Leone.The Group E clash is the first of three matches for each team and Riyad Mahrez is hoping to make a similar impact on this tournament as he did the last.

Algeria enjoyed a 3-0 win over Ghana in a pre-tournament friendly last week, with Islam Slimani among the scorers.
And with Equatorial Guinea and Ivory Coast the other teams in this Africa Cup of Nations group, both teams will be hoping for a result.
When does the AFCON game Algeria vs Sierra Leone kick off?
Algeria vs Sierra Leone takes place on Tuesday, January 11.
The game kicks off at 1pm UK time, which is 2pm in Cameroon.
The Group E clash will be held at the 50,000-capacity Japoma Stadium in Douala in Cameroon.
