Enzo Fernandez ‘sends Crystal Palace defender to Sainsbury’s and Tesco’ as £107m Chelsea ace scores stunning goal

CHELSEA fans might normally want to keep quiet about shopping. At the very least, spending around £850million in three transfer windows to produce a mid-table Premier League team is nothing to shout about.

So perhaps that’s why, in the words of one viewer, a Blues’ star instead dispatched a rival Crystal Palace player to the shops – with a delightful, delayed finish.
“Enzo Fernandez just sent Munoz to Sainsbury’s and then to Tesco, what a goal,” posted one fan.
First, Fernandez cut back to leave Munoz tumbling onto his backside.
Then just as the Colombian scrambled up, the Argentine dummied to shoot – sending him to the ground once more.

It confirmed Chelsea’s 13th straight Prem victory over Palace.
The Eagles had led through Jefferson Lerma’s stunning opener.
But Conor Gallagher struck a double against his old loan club ahead of Fernandez’s cheeky 94th-minute clincher.
The midfielder had Palace defender Daniel Munoz  sliding to the floor TWICE before firing home to in the 3-1 away win.

Chelsea’s costliest buy, £115m Moises Caicedo, again struggled to justify his place alongside their second most expensive – £107m Fernandez.
But their fans lapped up the late treat from their World Cup winner, even if it was so painful for Munoz.
Chelsea scouting Athletic Bilbao star with fans convinced ‘this will be the end of Mudryk or Sterling’
“Let’s stand up for Enzo Fernandez,” taunted one viewer.
“Enzo is in the form of his life,” claimed another – although some observers accused Chelsea of “over-celebrating” their late joy. More

Abandoned stadium that shares unique link to Rangers’ ex-chairman and a by-election is now home to Sainsbury’s

FOR a generation of modern day football fans, Douglas Park is a Rangers director and former chairman.A wealthy motor trade businessman with a fleet of luxury coaches used by clubs around the country, and various car dealerships selling the latest models on four wheels.

But some of those very cars now park up on the Scottish football site that once shared the same name – right in the middle of Hamilton.
New Douglas Park is home to Hamilton Accies, and has been since 2001.
Before then, ‘old’ Douglas Park – the original – was where the Accies played, but it’s now a car park serving shoppers, right next door.
Meet the new ground, same as the old ground? Just about in geography terms, but very different in reality. It was called Ballast Park in its’ infancy and only has two stands for a start.

In 1994 the club sold off their ground for £6m to a retail park after 108 years there. Developers built Sainsbury’s, McDonalds and a bingo hall on the site.
Via ground sharing agreements at Firhill in Glasgow and Cliftonhill, Coatbridge throughout the 90s, Hamilton eventually moved back to where it all began and made a VERY short move north.
Their new ground – now named just like so – borders their old one at the back of the supermarket – and from the former pitch turned car park you can see the floodlights of the current stadium quite clearly from the penalty box of old one.
You can hear the cheers, moans and groans of fans on a busy matchday too – although not legendary fan ‘Fergie’.

Real name Ian Russell, he honed an infamous reputation for his barracking from the stands – and everyone was a target.
He became a figure of Scottish football folklore for his loud heckles and language known throughout the country amongst fans and players alike.
Accies tried to silence him by banning him during their travelling time and Russell ended up in court on a breach of the peace charge and fined £100.
He said: “When the team is doing badly I can’t control my mouth. If the Accies were doing better, I wouldn’t have to swear.”
The notorious Accies fan died in 2009, aged 71, with his beloved team in the top flight.
A huge council car park nearby used to serve the old ground and is still used by buses and supporters’ cars now, but with John Rankin’s team in League One packed Premiership-style attendances have been few and far between recently.
But fans truly made a noise during the nomadic days with Hamilton re-located for seven years while the new base was built.
It even became a political campaign in 1999 when an independent by-election candidate Stephen Mungall stood on the promise to bring the club back to town – and picked up more than 1,000 votes.

The primary school teacher picked up more votes than the club had ‘home’ supporters at the time.
But now chasing promotion back to the Championship – though 11 points off League One leaders Falkirk, those bigger away crowds could soon be back in south Lanarkshire.
But only if plastic pitches are allowed in at that stage. There is talk synthetic surfaces must be replaced by grass in the top division in future and Accies have used TigerTurf and various other plastic alternatives for the last 10 years at the 23-year-old ground.

Robson-Kanu revealed he was lured towards natural remedies after experiencing a bad reaction to painkillers he had taken to help overcome injuries early in his career.
The injuries threatened to end the former Wales international’s career, before he discovered the benefits of raw ingredients.
He said: “It was at that point where me and my dad basically went on a research binge. We began looking at natural ways to recover from pain, inflammation and swelling.
“We went to the library and scoured the internet. We looked at ancient Asian practices in eastern cultures where they would use natural remedies.
“What we began to find was these natural ingredients which kept recurring, like watermelon, pomegranate, pineapple, ginger and turmeric in the raw format.
“It wasn’t powder or capsules, what we read was that the raw ingredients were key to having an impact.
“My dad sourced all of the natural ingredients from local markets over the next few days and began to turn these into a blend.
“At first it didn’t taste too good but after a few days my dad perfected this blend of raw, natural ingredients and it was this golden elixir. It was really potent, knocked my socks off, but it was actually enjoyable.

“Immediately the additional nutrient and micronutrients and macro nutrients I was consuming from this golden blend really gave me a real boost of energy.
“It was a lightbulb moment because up until that point I’d taken everything I was told as gospel.” More

KSI and Logan Paul’s Prime drink to ‘finally’ be sold at Tesco after shop feared for security measures

KSI and Logan Paul’s Prime drink will “finally” be sold at Tesco. The hydration beverage was released to much fanfare in 2022 causing a craze, especially in the UK.
Prime will now be sold at Tesco
Asda were the first to stock Prime with the likes of Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Aldi soon following.
And although supermarket giants Tesco were late to the party, Prime’s co-founders confirmed they will stock the product.
Prime posted a picture of the celeb pair behind a store with bottles in their hands, with KSI, 30, tweeting: “FINALLY.”
Paul, 28, said in February that Prime made $250million (£196m) in retail sales and $110m (£86m) gross internally.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
Due to the limited UK stock upon its early release, fans were quite literally fighting in shops to get their hands on bottles.
And KSI claimed that is part of the reason why Tesco were reluctant to sell Prime at first.
He tweeted in January: “We have the supply lol.
“Tesco just told us that the security cost to protect shoppers would cost more than they were willing to spend based off the prime demand.

“That’s why it won’t be in Tesco. They’re waiting for the demand to go down.”
According to The Grocer, Prime will be available to buy at Tesco from Monday with a three-limit bottle per customer.
And they have an exclusive deal to sell the brand’s latest flavour, strawberry watermelon, Prime Tracker say.

Erik ten Hag’s side beat Chelsea 4-1 at Old Trafford to move six points clear of fifth-placed Liverpool with just one game remaining.
Fernandes, 28, converted from the penalty spot during the game, having been brought down in the box by Wesley Fofana.
The attacking midfielder had also struck the bar earlier in the match after being teed up by Jadon Sancho.
Following his goal-scoring exploits last night, Fernandes popped to Sainsbury’s to pick up some bits and pieces.

He grabbed a multi-pack of Highland Spring water, as well as a couple of bottles of Cravendale milk.
After last night’s match, Fernandes called being in the Champions League an “obligation” for United, after they missed out last term.
He said: “It’s not a relief. I think everyone was aware that it was really important for us to get the top four.
“I think at the same time everyone was really convinced that we will do it.

“We should have done it a little bit earlier in the season but obviously we had those two away games that we didn’t get any points and it complicated our counts, but we get it today and that’s the most important.
“It’s kind of an obligation for this club to be in these positions.”
Man United finish their Premier League season on Sunday with a home assignment against Fulham.
A win would seal third place, although a draw or a loss would open the door for Newcastle to pip them.
The Red Devils’ attention will then switch to the FA Cup final, when they take on rivals Manchester City under the Wembley arch on June 3.

Other items in the Leeds-born star’s trolley included a £7.50 coffee maker, a four-bowl set for £15, a £5 pack of toilet roll and a 50p jar of English mustard.
There was also a box of eggs, and a kettle, though some thought his mega-sized £3.50 tomato sauce purchase may not impress his new manager.

Erling arrived from Borussia Dortmund on an estimated £18milion-a-year deal — though there are already rumours he could go to Spain next.
