MICHAEL OWEN has revealed he was “b*****ked” by the QUEEN for squeezing into a packed lift with her.The football legend – who has been squirming this week covering England’s draw in Germany after his daughter Gemma entered the Love Island villa – was left “mortified” after his blunder at Royal Ascot.

Detailing the awkward encounter in his book, he wrote: “When she [the Queen] walked into the royal lift there were perhaps 15 of us outside.
“‘Come on,’ she said, ‘We can all squeeze in’.
“I obeyed – taking my hat off as I thought that correct etiquette.
“‘If you’d put your hat back on,’ she said, voice raised, ‘we might all fit in!’
“I sheepishly put my hat on. I was mortified. To this day I have absolutely no idea if she was joking.
“Louise was nudging me from the other side trying not to laugh because I’d been b****ked by the Queen.”
The Liverpool and England legend, who also played for Real Madrid and Manchester United and owns horses himself, also told how he tried to make sure his manners were impeccable during a pre-race meal at Windsor Castle.
He added: “I was careful to hold my fork in the correct hand and so on. I needn’t have worried. The Queen was throwing bits of starter to her corgis!”

The former striker, 42, made a series of stunning revelations in his 2019 autobiography Reboot – My Life, My Time.
Owen was also confronted with the sad sight of Paul Gascoigne turning up at Real Madrid with his football boots.
He recalls the time soon after he joined Real when Gazza – who would have been 38 and had been retired for several years – suddenly pitched up in Spain.
Owen wrote: “I walked into the reception area at Real Madrid and there, in front of me, was Gazza.
“When I looked closer, he was carrying a pair of football boots. I thought for a split second: What? Have we signed him?
“Then reality kicked in when I rationalised with myself that, as good as he had once been, there was no way that Real Madrid would have signed Paul Gascoigne in 2005.
“All I can say is that Gazza didn’t seem to be in the most stable frame of mind.
“As much as it was great to see him, there was something incredibly sad and poignant about the image of one of my all-time heroes standing in the reception of the Bernabeu holding his football boots.”

wants to ‘get it on’ with Khan and tried to talk Brit out of retiring
Naz, 48, retired at just 28 with a record of 36 wins and just one loss.
Only Mexican great Marco Antonio Barrera was able to beat him, with a unanimous points decision win in Las Vegas in 2001.

He returned from the Barrera loss with a lacklustre 2002 win over Manuel Calvo for the lesser IBO version in his final fight.

Warren said: “I think at one stage he was the most exciting fighter that I’d ever been involved with.
“At one stage, in the early part of his career, he could have gone on to become one of the great fighters.
“But that disappeared when he didn’t fight as regularly as he should have done, when he was cutting corners on his training.
“It just didn’t work out for him from that point on.”

Prince William ‘sickened’ by ‘totally unacceptable’ racist abuse of England’s Saka, Rashford & Sancho after Euros final

PRINCE William has slammed vile racists who posted messages of abuse to three young black Lions after last night’s heartbreaking defeat. The royal – who was at yesterday’s game with wife Kate and son George – said he’s “sickened” at the disgusting trolls who targeted Bukayo Saka, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho after their penalty misses.

And Gareth Southgate has told journalists the attacks are “unforgiveable” – and it’s “just not what we stand for”.
The Duke of Cambridge, who serves as president of The FA, tweeted: “I am sickened by the racist abuse aimed at England players after last night’s match.
“It is totally unacceptable that players have to endure this abhorrent behaviour.
“It must stop now and all those involved should be held accountable. W.”
    It comes as:

The prince was seen punching the air last night – before the evening ended with tears for England after a mighty fight against Italy.
After the loss, racist morons began attacking three of the team’s black players with monkey emojis and vile abuse.
Boris Johnson is among those to condemn the sick jibes.
“This England team deserve to be lauded as heroes, not racially abused on social media,” he said.
“Those responsible for this appalling abuse should be ashamed of themselves.”
The Met Police has vowed to launch a probe.
The force said: “We are aware of a number of offensive and racist social media comments being directed towards footballers following the Euro 2020 final.
“This abuse is totally unacceptable, it will not be tolerated and it will be investigated.”
And Home Secretary Priti Patel tweeted: “I’m disgusted that England players who have given so much for our country this summer have been subject to vile racist abuse on social media.
“It has no place in our country and I back the police to hold those responsible accountable.”
Twitter said today it has removed more than 1,000 posts within the past 24 hours which violated its policy, as well as permanently suspending a number of accounts.

It was a late night for the seven-year-old, who was comforted by his dad after the loss.
The stadium erupted within the first two minutes of the game after Luke Shaw netted the ball, bringing the team one step closer to bringing the trophy home after a 55-year drought.
And little George looked on top of the world as he celebrated the goal, beaming at William and hugging his mum in celebration.
But Italian Leonardo Bonucci managed to nab an equaliser in the 67th minute, before clinching a win on penalties.
Despite the initial excitement, George, dressed smartly in a suit and tie, was left devastated – and Kate too was pictured with her head in her hands.

And after the game, William described England’s Euro 2020 defeat as “heartbreaking”.
He told the team: “You’ve all come so far, but sadly this time it wasn’t our day.
“You can all hold your heads high, and be so proud of yourselves — I know there’s more to come.”

Prince George comforted by dad after cheering with England fans as William declares ‘you can hold your heads high’

PRINCE George was comforted by his dad after England suffered a “heartbreaking” defeat against Italy in the Euro 2020 final. William stood with his hands on his seven-year-old son’s shoulders as they realised the Three Lions wouldn’t be bringing it home – but declared the squad should “hold your heads high”.

The future king cheered alongside Kate Middleton and footie-mad Wills with the 66,000-strong Wembley crowd as England went 1-0 up in the first two minutes.
The stadium erupted after Luke Shaw netted the ball, bringing the team one step closer to bringing the trophy home after a 55-year drought.
And little George looked on top of the world as he celebrated the goal, beaming at the duke and hugging his mum in celebration.

The duke, duchess and George sang God Save the Queen before kick-off.
Kate rushed to make it in time for the 8pm kick-off after spending the day at Wimble for the final day of the two-week tournament.
And it was hoped the couple’s eldest son – who was labelled England’s “lucky charm” after he was in the stands to see the Three Lions beat Germany 2-0 – would see the squad victorious once more.
George is previously reported to have “begged” his parents to take him to the game.
He is said to have “twisted their arms” to get to be in the stands, and his choice of a suit was thanks to his dad as “George idolises him”, according to a royal expert.
Duncan Larcombe told OK! magazine: “That’s why we saw him looking so smart in his suit—he really wanted to dress like William.”
The royal trio had previously shown their love for the game when they went wild after late goals from captain Harry Kane and Raheem Sterling saw the team reach the finals.

But George missed out seeing England beat Denmark in the semi-finals, with William instead celebrating the 2-1 victory alongside Prime Minister Boris Johnson and wife Carrie.
Both the Duke of Cambridge and his son George are mega football fans so it’s no surprise they were both in attendance tonight.
William had earlier delivered a rousing cry to Gareth Southgate’s squad ahead of the big game in which he wished them “the very best of luck”.
Wills gushed: “I can’t really believe this is happening.”
The future king said: “Gareth, Harry, and to every member of the England team on and off the pitch, I just want to wish you the very best of luck for tonight.
“What a team performance it’s been. Every member of the squad has played their part, and all the back room team as well have been truly essential.
“I can’t really believe this is happening. So exciting and I just wish you the very best of luck.
“You bring out the very best of England and we are all behind you.
“The whole country is behind you. So, bring it home.”

The Queen also sent a moving good luck message to the team, praising their “spirit, commitment, and pride”.
The 95-year-old appeared to be swept up in the Euro 2020 excitement, hoping history would “record” the Three Lions’ success and show them beating Roberto Mancini’s tough Italian side.
Writing the note on Windsor Castle-headed paper, the monarch evoked memories of 1966 when she famously presented the World Cup to England Captain Bobby Moore after the 4-2 win over Germany.
    ‘BRING IT HOME’
Addressing the letter to manager Gareth Southgate OBE – she wrote: “55 years ago I was fortunate to present the World Cup to Bobby Moore and saw what it meant to the players, management and support staff to reach and win the final of a major international football tournament.
“I want to send my congratulations and that of my family to you all on reaching the final of the European Championships, and send my good wishes for tomorrow with the hope that history will record not only your success but also the spirit, commitment, and pride with which you have conducted yourselves.”
She signed the note “Elizabeth R”.
The England squad responded to the “very, very special message”, saying: “Thank you for your support, Your Majesty.”
Some eagled-eye fans thought they spotted a hidden message in the Queen’s good luck letter.
One Twitter user managed to find the footie anthem “It’s Coming Home” within her note, written on Windsor Castle-headed paper.

The Queen was not at Wembley for the 8pm kick off.
But the monarch is believed to have watched the historic game on TV at Windsor Castle, joining a 35-million strong audience also tuning in at home.
It was set to be the most-watched event in UK TV history – with more than 44 million people watching in total.

The monarch last night praised the Three Lions for their “spirit, commitment, and pride” ahead of the nail-biting match against Italy.
And she evoked memories of 1966 when she famously presented the World Cup to England Captain Bobby Moore after the 4-2 win over Germany.
But on closer inspection, some think she wanted to deliver an extra-special message to Gareth Southgate and his squad.
One Twitter user managed to find the footie anthem “It’s Coming Home” within her letter, written on Windsor Castle-headed paper.
Shortly after the message was released, he shared a picture of it with the relevant letters of the alphabet circled in red – spelling out the song.
He captioned it: “Hidden message within the Queen’s message…”
And it seems hundreds of others agree that the 95-year-old was informing the nation that it is indeed coming home.

One person commented: “I KNEW IT! Rule Britannia!” while another simply said: “Genius!”
One user joked: “Who needs Enigma?”
And another man wrote: “God Save Her!”
However, some users were less convinced that the Queen had included a cheeky note.
“Wow, you got lucky with those letters…,” wrote one person.
And “What an absolutely inept try hard,” said another.
    It comes as…

The Queen isn’t alone when it comes to hiding references to David Baddiel, Frank Skinner and the Lightning Seeds’ anthem Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home).
Tesco was lambasted this week for its “painful” football pun involving the supermarket’s name and the footie chant.
The chain did a little light-hearted play on words and attempted to insert ‘Tesco’ into the song’s famous lyric, which instead made it read: “Ites coming home.”
It tweeted alongside the photo: “For anyone who ever wondered about the origin of our name… #ItsComingHome.”
Hundreds of Twitter users poked fun at the company for trying to “force fun”.

Rival supermarket chains even joined in the taunting, with Sainsbury’s replying with a gif that highlighted how bad the pun was.
    It tweeted: “Itsainsbury’s Coming Home?”
And Iceland posted a picture of the alleged origin of its name, saying: “It’s coming home to England.”
A crowd of around 65,000 will roar on the Three Lions inside Wembley Stadium.
And with less just hours to go until kick off, the anticipation is ripe.
Euros euphoria has well and truly swept the nation, with chants of “It’s Coming Home” on repeat.

Although Uefa has allegedly banned Baddiel & Skinner and the Lightning Seeds from singing the footie anthem at Wembley before the game as it will be “unfair” on Italy.
But the song could finally be coming true as the squad prepares to end a 55-year trophy drought.
The game kicks off at 8pm, and 44 million people are set to tune in – making it most-watched event in UK TV history.
