Man Utd plot Gareth Bale transfer swoop if they fail to prise top target Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund

MANCHESTER UNITED could swoop for Real Madrid outcast Gareth Bale if they miss out on Jadon Sancho, according to reports.
United are looking increasingly unlikely to prise Sancho away from Borussia Dortmund before the end of the transfer window, having missed the German club’s August 10 deadline to meet their £109million asking price for the England international.

The Daily Star claims United will instead turn their attention to out-of-favour Real Madrid star Bale, who is free to leave the Spanish capital.
Real are reportedly so desperate to offload the 31-year-old they could agree to pay half of his £600,000-a-week wages to force through a move.
The Welshman made just 14 starts for Los Blancos last season and has grown increasingly frustrated over his lack of playing time.
Bale has a contract at the Bernabeu until 2022 and Real would accept as little as £22million for the ex-Tottenham forward.

United would prefer to take Bale on loan, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believing a move for the four-time Champions League winner could turn his side into genuine title contenders.
The Wales captain, 31, came close to leaving Madrid for Chinese side Jiangsu Suning last summer only for Real to block the move at the last minute.
Bale made clear his desire to leave the Spanish champions while on international duty last week, despite previous reports he could decide to run down his contract on the Bernabeu sidelines.
He told Sky Sports: “What can I say? I want to play football.

“I am still motivated to play football so I guess it is on the club really.
“I can’t do anything, they are in control of everything
“I have a contract so all I can do is carry on what I am doing and hopefully something comes up.
“It is in the club’s hands and they have made things very difficult to be honest.”

Man Utd to confirm transfers for Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez with Barcelona & Real Madrid starlets isolating in UK

MANCHESTER UNITED are set to confirm the signings of defenders Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez.
The Spanish teens will go into the United youth set-up once final clearance is sealed.

Jurado, 16, is joining from Barcelona while Fernandez, 17, arrives from Real Madrid.
The pair are understood to be isolating with a local family after moving from Spain as the country is currently on the UK’s two-week quarantine list under Covid-19 guidelines.
The young duo were snapped in Adidas United training gear on Jurado’s Instagram and the outgoing Barca kid has already changed his Instagram bio to say “Manchester United player”.
The right-back is thought to have rejected a three-year deal to remain at the Nou Camp and arrives alongside fellow defender Fernandez.

They will join former Sunderland teenagers Joe Hugill and Logan Pye who made the move to Old Trafford in July.
Czech goalkeeper Radek Vitek also joined the United youth set-up from Sigma Olomouc.
United are also signing Tromso forward Isak Hansen-Aaroen, who turned 16 last weekend.
The Norwegian wonderkid last month became the youngest ever Tromso player, making his debut at the age of 15 years 319 days — United are now awaiting paperwork to complete the deal.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also given a trial to ex-Yeovil Town forward Devon Arnold.
The 18-year-old bagged a winning goal on debut for United’s Under-23s in a 1-0 win over Stoke on Tuesday.
If he continues to impress, the Red Devils will be able to snap him up permanently without a transfer fee as he is a free agent.

Gareth Bale’s awkward Real Madrid showdown talks put on ice after he leaves for international duty with Wales

GARETH BALE’S controversial reunion with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has been put on hold.
The Los Blancos squad are due to return for pre-season training on August 30.

However, Wales’ head coach Ryan Giggs has called the star up for international duty, meaning his return to Madrid is delayed.
Despite being left out of the LaLiga champions’ run-in, his last game being on June 24, the forward is in line to face Finland and Bulgaria in the Nations League on September 3 and 6.
The double-header will provide the 31-year-old with an opportunity for match action after he was outcasted by Zidane.

He was left out for the final six matches of the campaign.

That led to several uncomfortable incidents towards the season’s end with Bale accused of being disrespectful after he was spotted larking around on the sidelines during games.
But that means his future will remain up-in-the-air with Madrid determined to get both him and Colombian James Rodriguez off the wage bill.
Club president Florentino Perez has already stated they must sell before they can buy due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.

Bale, though, remains determined he will stick to his guns and stay in a £60m stand-off as payback for failing to let him leave last summer.

Zidane confirmed the attacker refused to travel for the Champions League defeat to Manchester City this month because he knew he would not get picked.
Determined Bale plans to see out the final two years of his Bernabeu contract as he remains furious with Real for blocking his mega-move to China 12 months ago.
The £1million-a-week deal to Jiangsu Suning was called off at the 11th hour after Real asked for a transfer fee and that U-turn by the Spanish champions has led to Bale’s stubborn stance.

Meanwhile, Giggs issued a warning to Bale over his lack of match fitness, saying: “There is no special treatment for anyone. I will look at each case individually.
“It is always something, a player not playing or a late injury. I need to adapt. If it becomes a problem in six months we will have to see. I can’t see it being a problem for these games.
“He is a good professional and always keeps himself fit. I speak to him when he is on camp. He was available for me for every game in the qualifiers. It’s never been a problem so far.
“Is it a worry for me? No. That might change, we will have to see in the future.”

Arsenal desperate for James Rodriguez transfer ahead of Atletico and PSG with star’s Real Madrid career finished

ARSENAL are reportedly desperate to land James Rodriguez from Real Madrid but face a fight with Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Gunners are keen to snap up the Colombian ace after it emerged his Los Blancos career was over.

Spanish outlet AS reports Mikel Arteta’s side are the team most interested in rescuing Rodriguez from the Bernabeu.
European big-hitters PSG are also thought to be keen on the 29-year-old as he is offered around by agent Jorge Mendes.
And it was previously reported that Rodriguez was set for a sensational cross-city move to join Real’s rivals Atleti.
Talk of a £13.5million deal to swap Madrid sides began after it became clear he had no future under boss Zinedine Zidane.

Rodriguez returned from a two-year loan spell in the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich last summer.

But he has failed to resurrect his Galacticos career – making only eight La Liga appearances in the 2019-20 season as he struggled with form and fitness.
It now appears Real Madrid’s 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in June will be the last time fans see Rodriguez in the white shirt.

He reportedly asked Zidane not to play against Athletic Bilbao on July 5 and that was the final straw for the French manager.
Rodriguez burst on to the scene in the 2014 World Cup, bagging six goals for Colombia on his way to claiming the Golden Boot.
His displays in Brazil earned a £63m move to Madrid but he has failed to deliver on his promise in the last six years and despite having one year left on his deal, is likely to be moved on.

The former Porto man spoke about his struggles as the traditional No10 role became marginalised in the modern game.
In 2017, he told Bundesliga officials: “I think there are no more classic No10s left in the world.
“Football today is tactical and very physical, with no place for a No10.”

Real Madrid want superstars to take huge pay cuts to fill £180m hole after lost revenue due to coronavirus

REAL MADRID are facing a financial black hole – and could be ready to demand more pay cuts.
The coronavirus has hit LaLiga harder than many of the other top leagues – and even behemoths like Real have not been immune.

    2

The loss of fans at Real Madrid’s Bernabeu next season has forced Los Blancos chiefs to consider 10 per cent pay cuts for its superstarsCredit: Reuters
They need to cover a £182MILLION shortfall – and that cannot simply be sorted by selling players.
Los Blancos asked their stars to take a pay cut earlier this spring as the coronavirus pandemic took a grip on the world’s economy.
And now Real president Florentino Perez and his bean counters are ready to ask them to take another pay cut.
Tipping Madrid chiefs over the edge is the fact that there will be no punters in stadiums probably for the rest of THIS YEAR.

That means no matchday revenue – and big clubs in Spain need to take a hit now to make sure they do not hit the wall.
Top priority for Real will be getting Gareth Bale’s £650,000-a-week wages off their books and they could revisit a switch to a Chinese club again – or try and sort out a compromise with a Premier League club.
Los Blancos are likely to start by extending the ten per pay cut for ALL players, say Madrid newspaper Marca.

That means Bale would lose £65,000 per week.
That is likely to run for the whole of the 2020/21 campaign.

And if Real crash out of the Champions League to Manchester City next week, then that step will be looked at immediately.
Zinedine Zidane’s men are already 2-1 down from the home first leg.
A Last 16 exit will also hit plans to bring in new players and a move for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba could be the first casualty.

Leicester City to make £31m transfer move for Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic to form partnership with Jamie Vardy

LEICESTER CITY are plotting a £31million swoop to partner Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic with Jamie Vardy.
The 22-year-old was touted as the next big thing last summer after a stunning campaign at Eintracht Frankfurt led to a £54m move to the Bernabeu.

    1

Leicester are preparing a £31m swoop for Real Madrid flop Luka Jovic
But the striker has endured a year from hell in La Liga with Zinedine Zidane now ready to listen to offers for him.
Madrid were only willing to let him leave on loan initially, however the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak means Los Blancos are willing to try and cash in on the Serbian international.
And Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers “believes a change of scene could help rediscover his goalscoring form”, according to the Daily Star.
And the Foxes, who face competition from Arsenal, have reportedly already been in contact with his agent to test the waters over a potential summer transfer.

The Champions League hopefuls scouted Jovic last year but could not compete with Madrid in the market at the time.
Now Rodgers is looking for reinforcements to help ease the burden on top scorer Vardy should they return to Europe’s elite competition.
The ex-Benfica man has scored just twice in his 25 matches for Madrid and a bid of up to £31m should be enough to secure his services.
Jovic’s problems have not just been on the field, with the player also involved in a number of coronavirus controversies throughout the pandemic.

He was threatened with arrest after breaking lockdown rules to return to his homeland – a trip  he headed back to Madrid with a foot injury from.
Jovic caused more headlines when he flouted social distancing rules by enjoying a barbecue.
He is now self-isolating after one of his friends tested positive for the virus. More
