Spurs have been linked with the Belgium international for some time as they bid to bolster their squad in an attempt to secure a top four place.
After dropping him for the win over Everton, De Zerbi said: “Trossard is a good player but I want him at 100% of his possibilities.
“I don’t know if after the World Cup he is suffering from something but I didn’t see him at his maximum.

“I don’t know [if it is physical or mental] but I am a coach.
“To play with the best first XI is possible and for the moment I didn’t see him in the best condition to play.”

Rigg, 15, is wanted by Newcastle as they look to add more potential talents to their squad.
However, after being given a clear route to first-team football with rivals Sunderland, Rigg will have a tough decision.
The Black Cats can continue to aid his development, but the Magpies are likely able to offer more money and the prospect of Premier League football.
As he is under 16, Newcastle would not have to pay a transfer fee to acquire him.

But Sunderland would be given a fee decided by a tribunal because they have developed him.
And the Magpies think they have one advantge to signing him, as Rigg’s dad has been revealed to be a supporter of the St James’ Park side.
Journalist James Copley told The Roar podcast: “We do know that Chris Rigg comes from a sort of mixed family in terms of Sunderland and Newcastle allegiances.
“I understand that his Dad is a big Newcastle fan so there’s always that sort of possibility and draw.”

This will be a boost to the Magpies as Manchester United have also been interested in the youngster.
Sunderland’s head of professional development phase, Graeme Murty, has insisted that Rigg still needs to better his understanding of the game.
He said: “It’s more about increasing his understanding of himself, his game and the game as a whole.
“We don’t want him just to understand how we would like him to influence the game, but he’s an international now so it’s understanding how international teams play.
“It’s understanding how to impact the game both with and without the ball, so then making sure we keep a real keen eye on his development and make sure there are no areas missed.
“There are times, for example, when he can scan better away from the ball.
“As you move up a level that becomes imperative because you get less time on the ball so you need to know your options earlier.
“We sit down, go through a debrief for him and work from a bespoke programme to make sure hopefully all his development needs are met.” More

A 2-1 home defeat to Brighton was followed by a 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Brentford.
Having chased Casemiro since June, United chiefs feared he’d snub them after their embarrassing start to the season.
Rather than putting the Brazilian off, however, the dreadful results strengthened his desire to come to Old Trafford and solve their issues.
Already enamoured with a move to Manchester, the 30-year-old tuned in to United’s loss at Brentford from his former home in Madrid.

But his mind had already been made up.
After initially starting games on the bench as he settled in at Man United, Casemiro unsurprisingly earned a place in the starting XI for the 2-1 victory over Everton on October 9.
He has subsequently began the Red Devils’ last 10 Prem games, losing only once as a starter.

And Antonio Conte knows three points for his side would be a major dent in the Gunners’ title dreams.
Harry Kane can equal Jimmy Greaves’ club record of 266 goals if he finds the net – and a second strike would take his tally to 200 in the Premier League.
However, BBC pundit Sutton thinks it will be a humiliating afternoon for Tottenham.
The former Chelsea, Blackburn and Norwich striker reckons Mikel Arteta’s side will run out 3-0 winners.
    READ MORE ON ARSENAL
He said: “I know Harry Kane loves playing against Arsenal.
“I also know he can break Greaves’ record this weekend, but he won’t.
“He won’t score, and Tottenham won’t score.
“Arsenal are going to wipe the floor with them.”

Arsenal sit top of the table having dropped just seven points from 17 matches.
Spurs are 11 points adrift having played a game more and are battling it out with Newcastle and Manchester United to qualify for the Champions League.
But Son Heung-min believes a win for Tottenham on Sunday could kickstart a shock challenge for the title.
The striker said: “The North London derby is special. It has a huge meaning for the players but especially for fans.
“We will throw our bodies on the line and give everything to win.
“We don’t prioritise the cups. The Premier League is long and something can always happen. Even Chelsea and Liverpool are pushing.
“There are so many games. We still believe in [winning the league] because this is a group of positive players.
“We should give everything we have but obviously the Champions League and FA Cup are really important for the club, players and fans.”
