Euro 2024 fans fume ‘Nike will pay for their crimes’ as Croatia ‘finally have a bad kit’ for first time ever

FANS have slammed Nike for their “terrible” design of the Croatia kit.Zlato Dalic’s side opened up their Euro 2024 campaign in abysmal fashion and trailed Spain 3-0 at half-time.Fans have slammed Croatia’s kitCredit: AFPSupporters do not like the big square patternCredit: GettyThe team also drew negative attention for their kits, which have attracted a lot of praise in the past.Fans feel Nike have messed up with the design they used, moving away from their traditionally small red and white chequered tops.Instead, the shirt consists of six squares on the front – three red and three white. While the back is mostly white only, with a couple of small red squares at the bottom.READ MORE IN FOOTBALLSupporters do not like the design one bit, with one saying: “This Croatia kit is terrible, deservedly losing for what they’ve done to a classic.”Another added: “How do you mess up a Croatia kit so badly?”A third wrote: “Croatia’s kit peaked in 1996. The 1998 one gets all the credit after their brilliant run to third place in the World Cup, but the one from Euro 1996 was even nicer. The current effort is an absolute monstrosity.”And another commented: “I just noticed the little collar on the already mishandled Croatia kit. Defender Domagoj Vida, midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic, former Leicester striker Andrej Kramaric and, of course, captain Luka Modric will be present once again in an experienced squad.
    MANAGER: Zlatko Dalic
Plucked from obscurity in the United Arab Emirates back in 2017, Dalic has become a national treasure by leading the Croats to a World Cup final and semi-final.
    KEY MAN: Luka Modric
Even at 38, it’s hard to understate the influence of the midfielder, who is one of just four players to win a Ballon d’Or in the Messi and Ronaldo era.
    How Croatia attack
The experienced midfield of Brozovic, Kovacic and Modric will prove crucial with two of the three sitting deep and looking to feed the wide players.
The lone striker – either Bruno Petkovic or Andrej Kramaric – will be expected to link everything together up front.
    How Croatia defend
Croatia will tend to move from a 4-3-3 to a 4-4-2 out of possession with one of the wide attackers joining the striker to press.
The midfielder will counter press aggressively in the event of a poor touch or pass.

England away kit sells more than home shirt for first time EVER after Nike’s ‘woke’ cross was slammed by legends & fans

ENGLAND’S away kit is selling more than the home shirt for the first time ever at one retail giant. I’m totally against it. Including the price that Nike are going to charge.”It’s woke. Nike wanted to add MORE colours to St George’s cross on England kit.. until the FA stepped in, insiders claim

NIKE wanted to add more colours to the controversial new England kit before the FA stepped in, insiders have claimed. The sports brand this week revealed it had altered St George’s Cross using purple and blue horizontal stripes in what it called a “playful update” to the shirt ahead of Euro 2024.The new England shirt has sparked a huge reactionThe altered St George’s Cross has drawn criticism from politiciansThe US firm said the colours were inspired by the training kit worn by England’s 1966 World Cup winners. But furious football pundits, players, celebs and fans have slammed the “woke” design since it was launched earlier this week. And now it’s been claimed that Nike wanted to make the kit even more multi-coloured  – displaying a “rainbow” effect. However, sources say the strip was sent to the FA’s former commercial director Navin Singh for final approval – and was turned down, reports The Telegraph.MORE ON ENGLANDThey claim Singh thought the “rainbow” kit would be accused of “virtue-signalling”, and so it was axed.Footie legends like Harry Redknapp, Peter Shilton and David Seaman have all had their say on the saga.Even Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer are among those to have condemned the kit.An FA statement on Friday reiterated its pride in the red and white St George’s Cross. Most read in FootballIt read: “The new England 2024 home kit has a number of design elements which were meant as a tribute to the 1966 World Cup-winning team.”The coloured trim on the cuffs is inspired by the training gear worn by England’s 1966 heroes, and the same colours also feature on the design on the back of the collar.Gareth Southgate has his say on change to England kit”It is not the first time that different coloured St George’s cross-inspired designs have been used on England shirts.”We are very proud of the red and white St George’s cross – the England flag.”We understand what it means to our fans, and how it unites and inspires, and it will be displayed prominently at Wembley – as it always is – when England play Brazil.”Meanwhile, PM Sunak said: “When it comes to our national flags, we shouldn’t mess with them because they’re a source of pride, identity, who we are, and they’re perfect as they are.”Labour leader Starmer told The Sun’s Harry Cole: “I’m a big football fan, I go to England games, men, women’s games.”And the flag is used by everybody, it’s unifying, it doesn’t need to change.”We just need to be proud of it. So I think they should just reconsider this and change it back.”Asked about the shirt in his press conference ahead of tonight’s clash with Brazil, Gareth Southgate said: “I don’t know if the debate is about the St George flag needing to be on the England shirt because obviously it has not always been.”I think the most important thing that has to be on our shirt is the Three Lions.
