Chiellini has only just joined LAFC on a free transfer after 18 years in Turin, with Wales star Gareth Bale a new teammate.
Regarded as a top-class centre-back, Chiellini’s impressive trophy haul proves he is a born winner.
And despite LAFC being 3-1 up in yesterday’s MLS clash, with just 20 minutes left, he showed once again why he has amassed a huge amount of gold medals.
Real Salt Lake look to hit their opponents on a counter-attack by launching the ball up the field.

But instead of making a challenge, Chiellni decided to do something completely different instead.
He jumped in the air with his 6ft 2in frame, with the crowd anticipating a powerful headed clearance.
However, Chiellini instead brought both arms up before using them to smash the ball away from an oncoming Real Salt Lake attacker.
Fans couldn’t believe what they had just seen as Chiellini attempted to plead his innocence.

But the ref was having none of it and gave the Italian a yellow card for his more-than-intentional handball.
Chiellini’s actions certainly got social media buzzing, with one fan tweeting: “He played volleyball there!”
Another asked: “How is that not a red?”
One joked: “Top quality foul this, absolutely essential.”
Another added: “That’s the worst handball since Maradona.” More

His finish provoked a deafening shriek of “goal” before the commentator shouted: “And Gareth Bale does it again.”
The glorious strike evoked memories of Bale in his prime, scoring fine solo goals for Tottenham, Real Madrid and Wales.
LAFC boss Cherundolo said: “It’s a great moment for Gareth and the team. He’s a well-liked guy in the group and elsewhere. It was a well-taken goal.

He left Real when his contract expired at the end of June and has enjoyed life at his new club in California.

Lingard, 29, had been linked with moves to both Saudi Arabia and Major League Soccer prior to signing his deal with Forest.
In an interview with BBC Radio 5 Live, he said: “I could have gone abroad for a lot of money but I want to stay in the Premier League.”
The attacking midfielder reportedly signed a deal with Forest worth £150,000 per week.
However, while this value equates to almost £8million-a-year, it pales in comparison to the £10m-a-year he was reportedly offered by a team in Saudi Arabia.

Man United and England record goalscorer Wayne Rooney was also reportedly keen to bring Lingard to the MLS after taking over as manager of DC United.
Links with former loan club West Ham persisted throughout the summer, and one Hammers fan who is fuming he ditched them is planning to throw fake money at him when they play Forest.
On his move to Forest, Lingard added: “They (Forest) wanted to come to my house and bring me to London in quick succession to try to get the deal done.
“The manager and owners have been great with me – they’ve shown the love and intent to get me to the club.

“When I see that sort of love, of course I am going to say yes, but it had to be the right deal for me and my family.
“I can see the project they’re building and it’s going to look good this season. I feel a positive vibe around the camp.”
Lingard is set to be included in Steve Cooper’s starting xi as one of a number of new signings as Forest take on Newcastle in their first Premier League game since the new millennium. More

“Slonina will finish the season with Chicago before joining Chelsea on January 1.”
Chelsea reached a verbal agreement with Chicago Fire earlier this month with new owner Todd Boehly handling negotiations himself.
The Premier League giants are making way for the young keeper as Kepa Arrizabalaga is close to a loan move to Napoli.
That could see Marcus Bettinelli getting promoted as Edouard Mendy’s back-up between the sticks.

The 34-year-old had gone into the match with two goals in his last three games, and displayed the sort of finishing touch which at one time made him one of European football’s most potent strikers.
The first of his trio came in the 23rd minute when he dispatched a stunning free-kick into the top-right corner, leaving Cincinnati goalkeeper Roman Celentano clawing at thin air.
Higuain’s second followed 14 minutes later as Alejandro Pozuelo played an incisive pass into the strikers path, before he rounded the goalkeeper to blast the ball into an empty net.
Cincinnati equalised following both goals, but the end of the half saw Miami take the lead again as Higuain completed his hat-trick by sending Celentano the wrong way from a spot kick.

Despite Higuain’s first-half exploits Miami failed to hang onto the lead and found themselves 4-3 down in the dying moments of the game following a brace from Brandon Vazquez.
Higuain, having taken his season tally to seven after his hat-trick, could only watch on from the subs bench as his team stared down a second loss in a row.
However, full-back Christopher McVey found some space in the penalty area and managed to fire a shot towards goal which thundered in off the crossbar to gift Miami a 97th minute leveller.
The result means Miami stay ahead of Atlanta United in the league table but fail to overtake Charlotte.

Prior to his America move in 2020, Higuain played for a number of top European clubs including Juventus, Real Madrid, Napoli and Chelsea.
However, his loan transfer to Chelsea ended up being a poor move for both the player and the club as Higuain scored just five goals in 18 games. More
