Thomas Tuchel’s side have been heavily linked with a move for the Austria international, where he is looking to pocket £400,000-a-week in wages.
But according to Sky in Germany, Alaba has rejected the chance to join the Blues.
He is also said to have turned down an approach from Paris Saint-Germain, where the Ligue 1 giants were willing to meet his demands.
It has been stated that Alaba – who can play as a centre-back, left-back or in midfield – has his heart set on a move to Spain.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are vying to secure his services, where it was reported in February that a verbal agreement had been reached with Los Blancos.
Spanish media declared that Real offered Alaba a £17million bonus with Zinedine Zidane desperate to bring him to the Bernabeu.
However Barcelona were claimed to have reached an agreement with the player earlier this month.
Commenting on his future, Alaba declared he is leaving Bayern to seek a new challenge having been at the club since 2008.

He said: “I have decided to do something new. It wasn’t an easy decision. I have not yet made the decision where to go.
“I have personally decided to see something new, to look for a new challenge. That certainly took its time.”
Before adding: “It’s no secret that my agent is negotiating with other clubs.
“I am looking for a new challenge to develop myself as a person on and off the pitch.
“Where can I continue to play football successfully? That will certainly be important in my decision.”

Arsenal ‘so happy’ with Martin Odegaard and want to make transfer permanent but Zinedine Zidane will have final decision

THE FUTURE of Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane could be key in Arsenal’s bid to sign Martin Odegaard permanently.Reports suggest the Gunners are keen on a long-term deal for the Norway national team captain following his impressive loan spell.

But, according to transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the decision will be out of their hands as Los Blancos formulate their summer plans.
Much attention is being paid to the future of coach Zidane, who faces a difficult task to deliver silverware to follow up last year’s LaLiga crown.
Exactly what Madrid plan to do with Odegaard remains to be seen, particularly if a new manager is installed.
Odegaard was given a chance by Zidane following a solid loan stint with Real Sociedad last season.
He failed to truly impress in a nine-game spell before being allowed to join Arsenal in January.
In North London, the 22-year-old has been a star performer and was praised for a vibrant display against West Ham on the weekend.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said of Odegaard’s role in the three-goal comeback: “I think he had an incredible performance.
“He was very intelligent the way he read the game, the way he affected the game and again he showed how much he wanted to win.
“When everyone was a little trembling he gave us that stability and that composure on the ball and he created chance after chance. He’s been showing that, I think, from week one.
“The way he steps on the pitch, he always wants the ball, the way he commands the pressing. He’s been really influential.
“I think we’ve all been a bit surprised because he looks really shy and humble, but when he steps on that pitch he’s a real character and he loves to play football.”
Odegaard has also hit crucial goals against Olympiacos and Tottenham in recent weeks.

And the midfielder ignited fans’ hopes of a longer stay by describing the club as ‘home’ earlier this month.
He said: “I have felt at home since the first day.
“I am happy to be here and I feel great so I’m very pleased to be a part of the team.”

Zidane, 48, has long been linked with Les Bleus position, with his old team-mate Didier Deschamps currently in the job.
But according to Telefoot, Deschamps is determined to remain in charge for next year’s World Cup defence in Qatar.
His contract is currently set to expire in July 2022 – four months before the finals get underway in Doha.
But despite claims that Zidane could take over after the delayed Euros, Deschamps feels he will earn a new deal.
Zizou’s contract at Real Madrid also expires in July 2022, and having endured a turbulent campaign, it has been suggested that he could leave the club.
But Telefoot believe that he is set for talks with president Florentino Perez in the coming months regarding an extension.
Even Deschamps, 52, has previously talked up the prospect of his former team-mate Zidane taking over from him one day.
The current boss said: “He already had legitimacy, but he has credibility because of what he achieved with Real.
“So it’s likely that at some point, it could happen.”

Zidane first succeeded Rafael Benitez at Real Madrid back in 2016, winning three consecutive Champions Leagues and a league title before stepping down in 2018.
Following Julen Lopetegui’s disastrous reign he then returned, guiding them to another LaLiga crown last term.
This season has been more difficult, however.
Los Blancos sit six points behind leaders Atletico Madrid in the LaLiga table, and were shockingly knocked out of the Copa del Rey by minnows Alcoyano.
They are still in Champions League contention, however, where they will play Liverpool for a place in the semi-finals.

Suarez, 34, got on the end of a Kieran Trippier cross and headed the only goal of the game after 54 minutes.
But the LaLiga leaders also had their goalkeeper Jan Oblak to thank for the win that kept them four points clear at the top of the table.
After Atletico centre-back Stefan Savic gave away a late penalty, the Slovenian dived to his right to keep Joselu’s spot-kick out and keep his clean sheet intact.
But former Barcelona and and Liverpool star Suarez was the star of the show.
Suarez is Uruguay’s record scorer with 63 goals from 116 games.
And he’s managed 19 goals for his new team since his move from Barcelona at the end of last season.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Robert Lewandowski are the only active players who rank ahead of Suarez in the all-time goalscoring charts.
Suarez is also the only player other than Ronaldo or Messi to win LaLiga’s golden boot award in the last decade.

He also became the Premier League’s top scorer in 2013-14 with 31 goals in 33 games.
After Barca got rid of Suarez last year, his best mate Messi lashed out at the Catalans for their treatment of the striker.
He wrote on Instagram: “You deserved to be praised for what you are: one of the most important players in the club’s history, achieving important things both as a group and individually.
“And not to get kicked out like they did. But the truth is that at this point nothing surprises me.
“I wish you all the best in this new challenge. I love you very much, I love you very much. See you soon friend.”

As well as Ireland, Finn, 17, is eligible to play for England, Spain and Cameroon.
The midfielder was born in Madrid and played for Real Madrid’s La Fabrica youth academy from the age of nine.
His mum is from Cameroon while his late father comes from Mayo in Ireland.
And it appears the link to his dad’s homeland was enough to sway him to the Boys in Green.
Speaking after the announcement of his squad to play Wales in an upcoming friendly, Crawford was confident Finn will be playing for his side once he recovers from injury.
He said: “I’ve been speaking to John Joe and his mother numerous times and he certainly wants to play for the Republic of Ireland.
“Unfortunately, he picked up an injury a couple of days ago and is out for 10 or 12 days. That’s a little bit of a disappointment for us and John Joe.
“But the most important thing is that John Joe gets himself fit and back playing again. We had a lot of conversations over the last number of weeks and they’ve all been positive.
“I’ve no doubt for the next window, if everything is fine, we’ll have John Joe onboard.”

Finn played for CD Canillas and Alcobendas CF before joining Getafe in 2018.
He is now considered one of the brightest young players in LaLiga.
Last December, Finn made history by becoming the youngest debutant in Getafe’s history, when he made his LaLiga debut against Levante.
The news comes just days after England officially lost out in the battle for Musiala.
The winger, 17, was born in Stuttgart but spent much of his childhood in England, playing for Chelsea’s academy.
With both the Three Lions and Die Mannschaft keen on him committing to their national set-ups, he previously won caps with the youth teams of both.
Most recently, he turned out for England Under-21s and scored in November’s 5-0 rout of Albania.
But he has been called up for the senior German team for their upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Iceland, Romania and North Macedonia.
Musiala told the Athletic: “I’ve thought about this question a lot. What is best for my future? Where do I have more chances to play?
“In the end, I just listened to the feeling that over a long period of time kept telling me that it was the right decision to play for Germany, the land I was born in. Still, it wasn’t an easy decision for me.
“I have a heart for Germany and a heart for England. Both hearts will keep on beating.”

Antoine Griezmann put Barcelona on the board before Sergino Dest fired in a brace, having never previously scored in LaLiga.
Then it was Messi’s turn to break yet another record with a bang.
Sunday’s outing was his 768th appearance for the club in all competitions, moving him past previous record-holder Xavi.
And the iconic Argentine made it 4-0 thanks to a perfect ball over the top from long-time compadre Sergio Busquets.

Sevilla not only left it late to pull back, they did so in the most unlikely of circumstances.
A last-gasp corner was played deep into the box and Luuk de Jong’s resulting header caused a mass scramble.
The ball was then kept in and bounced off the post, and the quickest to react was stopper Bono, who smashed it into the net with his left foot.
Bono was so shocked he took his shirt off and ran to the touchline to celebrate.
It landed him in the referee’s book and afterwards the Moroccan admitted he was too gobsmacked to think of anything better.
Bono told Marca: “It’s incredible, it’s difficult to describe and I didn’t know how to celebrate.
“You do your job in goal and it’s very strange to see you there (in the opposition box).
“I looked at the coach and he told me to go up (for the corner), the chance fell well for me and I am grateful to score.”

Andres Palop famously scored a header for Sevilla against Shakhtar Donetsk in 2007 and manager Julen Lopetegui was on hand to see history repeat itself.
Lopetegui said: “I just managed to speak to Bono after the game and obviously congratulate him.
“I am sure there were a few jokes in the dressing room surrounding Andres Palop’s goal because everyone remembers that and it was obviously a very, very important goal in the Europa League and today was a very important goal for us as it came in the final minutes of the game and it helped us rescue a point.
