      TYSON FURY has been told to have a long break by Richie Woodhall, who fears he may only be motivated by Anthony Joshua beating Oleksandr Usyk. Fury retained his WBC title after 11 gruelling rounds with Deontay Wilder, which ended with a brutal knockout.

      He is now set to face the winner between Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, who will become WBC mandatory after their October 30 fight.
      But former world champion Woodhall thinks Joshua, who lost to Usyk in September but is set for a rematch, is still Fury’s true target.
      He told told BBC 5 Live: “My concerns are not only for Wilder but for Tyson as well
      “The only thing that beats Tyson, for me, is himself in terms of complacency. Lennox Lewis got complacent twice and got beaten twice.
      “Complacency can creep into any boxer, so I’m a little bit worried there about what’s going to motivate him now to come back.
      “Maybe an AJ fight, if he can beat Usyk, that would sell and motivate Tyson Fury. 
      “They’re talking about Dillian Whyte, but Tyson needs a good long break now.”

      Joshua, 31, and Fury, 33, were set for an undisputed title decider in August until Wilder, 35, won his right to a trilogy bout in arbitration.
      AJ was then beaten by Usyk, 34, on points but his promoter Eddie Hearn recently confirmed his right to a rematch has been invoked.
      It leaves Fury with 30 days to negotiate a WBC mandatory title defence with the winner of Whyte, 33, and Wallin, 30, who lost to the Gypsy King in 2019.

      But she’s now letting her hair down after his 11th round knockout, with the couple spending the rest of the weekend partying in Sin City.
      Paris and Fury enjoyed a relaxing meal together following his heroics before the champ ramped up the celebrations at a wild Vegas pool party.
      Speaking about her trip to the US, Paris posted on Instagram: “What a night . . . what a fight! The last 48 hours have been epic and I’m still on cloud nine.
      “It meant everything to be there with Tyson, he’s worked so hard for this and he brought it home like the great champion he is!
      “It won’t be long till We’re back to reality and the school run but for now this is definitely one of the highs of being a boxer’s wife.
      “And not long till Love and Fury (Paris’s book on life with Tyson) is out too.”

      The celebrations come after a difficult build-up to the trilogy fight for the Fury family.
      First Tyson tested positive for coronavirus, meaning the initial July 24 date for the fight – which only came about after a court ordered it to take place – was scrapped.
      And then the Gypsy King, 33, and Paris faced a fearful few days after the birth of their baby daughter, who went into ICU but was thankfully discharged.
      The rollercoaster prepartions were capped off with a stunning performance by Fury.

      He dropped Wilder, 35, three times, but had to twice get off the canvas in round four, before closing the show in style with one round to go.
      Fury will soon return home to Lancashire, where baby Athena, sons Prince John James, Prince Tyson Fury II, Prince Adonis Amaziah and daughters Valencia and Venezuela will wait for him.
      He also knows his next fight will be the winner of Dillian Whyte, 33, versus Otto Wallin, 30, at the end of the month.

      Reported by the Daily Mail, Fury told Horner: “Don’t worry, I’m gonna smash him.”
      His prediction came true, but only after 11 sensational rounds in Las Vegas.
      Fury, 33, dropped Wilder, 35, in the fourth and looked on the road to an easy night’s work.
      But in the following round disaster struck as he was twice put down and left fighting to keep his belt.
      Fury soon regained control and in the tenth dropped Wilder, signalling the beginning of the end.

      It was a round later that he got the job done for good after a brutal right hand closed the show and settled their trilogy series once and for all.

      DEONTAY WILDER refused to show Tyson Fury respect in the ring as he still alleges his rival tried to cheat against him. That was revealed by Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott, who watched his man bravely take the Gypsy King 11 rounds before being brutally knocked out.

      But afterwards, the American heavyweight chose to snub Fury’s attempt to make peace and shake hands.
      Scott said Wilder still holds ill-will towards the British WBC champion, after accusing him of cheating in their rematch.
      The trainer told EsNews: “Deontay, he obviously looks at Fury as a man he had serious issues with concerning some certain allegations that was out.
      “And certain things that he has actually seen with his own eyes. Tonight, after they released all that energy, he still felt the way he felt.”
      Fury, 33, drew with Wilder, 35, in 2018 and then brilliantly won the rematch in seven rounds last year.
      But the Bronze Bomber refused to accept the result and blamed the loss on everything but a masterclass in boxing.

      Fury made a clear attempt to embrace the fallen ex-champ, but was given the cold shoulder, as he then hit out at Wilder.

      He revealed: “I said, ‘Well done.’ And he said, ‘I don’t wanna show any sportsmanship or respect.’ I said, ‘No problem.’
      “I was very surprised by that but he’s a sore loser, an idiot.
      “To be a top fighting man, you’ve got to show guts and respect and he couldn’t do it tonight. And that’s it.
      “He couldn’t do it so I’ll pray for him. I’m just thankful we all got out the fight in one piece and go home to our lovely families.”

      After a private recuperating lunch with wife and mother-of-six Paris, the WBC king arrived at the Wet Republic pool party around 3pm Vegas time.
      Wet Republic is a massive pool party complex next to the MGM Grand with DJs and hot tubs, which hosted a party attended by Prince Harry in 2012.
      It was the same place Fury partied at after beating Tom Schwarz in 2019, the day after he made his Vegas debut.
      Flanked by his team, the 6ft 9in ace instantly took over the exclusive and extortionate venue, with fans going crazy to see him.
      Fellow Travellers had paid thousands to be seated next to Britain’s unbeaten icon and crowded around the giant for photos and videos.
      Hiding his shaven head under the scorching glare of the Vegas sun in a baseball cap, he dusted off a few dance moves up on his private cabana before settling down.

      One picture even showed a mark on Fury’s back, with the effects of the trilogy fight there for all to see.
      The two-time champion, 33, again won over the hearts of boxing fans for his astonishing display in the ring.
      A total of five knockdowns were scored in the fight, three going Fury’s way with the other two coming from Wilder, 35, in round four.
      But the Gypsy King – who only five years ago quit boxing and ballooned up to almost 30 stone – showcased his never-say-die attitude.
      It got him up from the floor twice in the fight, and allowed him to floor Wilder in the tenth before closing the show in the following round.
      Wilder played his part too, refusing to stop throwing and even threatening to turn the fight on its head after every right hand he threw.

      But ex-champion Haye, who predicted Wilder would pull off the upset, praised the American for his gutsy performance up until the final punch.
      He told iFL TV: “I know a lot of people wrote Wilder off, but he showed tremendous heart and balls to stay in there.
      “True to his word, he said didn’t want this corner to throw in the towel, Breland threw the towel in to save him for this day, which was a great thing.
      “It appeared to everyone’s point of view to be the right thing, and this time around, I’m pretty sure Malik Scott was given strict instructions that no matter what happened to him in that fight, no matter how much of a beating he was taking, don’t even pick up that towel to throw it.

      Wilder, who drew to Fury in 2018, lost the rematch last year and sacked his coach Mark Breland for throwing in the towel.
      But Breland’s replacement Scott – who was beaten by the heavyweight himself in 2014 – refused to end the action.
      Wilder, 35, was finally knocked out with one round to go, as Fury, 33, closed out the fight in spectacular style.

      Beating Tyson Fury would be ‘very tough’ for Anthony Joshua, according to David Haye.
      Speaking on BT Sport, the 40-year-old said: “I think from the strength of that performance, it would be very tough for AJ.
      “Having watched AJ’s last performance against Usyk, the shots that Fury took down the pipe from Wilder, he was able to get back up and rough him up.
      “The fact that AJ stood at range with Usyk having a boxing match… is AJ going to beat Fury in a boxing match? I don’t believe so.”

      DEONT RULE ME OUT
      Deontay Wilder would do ‘ten times better’ against Oleksandr Usyk than Anthony Joshua did, according to trainer Malik Scott.
      Speaking to ESNews, the Bronze Bomber’s cornerman said: “Usyk and Wilder? I believe it’s a superfight. I believe stylistically Usyk would beat AJ again.
      “If AJ could make the necessary adjustments stylistically with his team then I believe it would be a much more competitive fight.
      “But I still would give the edge to Usyk… and I’d maybe give him the edge by stoppage – it just depends how AJ would handle the first three rounds as far as positioning.
      “But with Deontay, I believe his style would do a whole lot better against Usyk’s than AJ’s style did, ten times better.
      “Because I look at it like this – Usyk fought AJ and I keep telling everybody he got bruises and everything which means he was getting hit.”

      Lancashire local Tyson Fury delighted fans from his home county following victory over Deontay Wilder on Saturday night.
      After a brutal eleventh round knockout, Fury grabbed a microphone and belted down it: “Lancaster, la la la, Lancashire la la la!”
      Gypsy King Fury was born in Wythenshawe in south Manchester.
      He now lives in Morecambe – in the City of Lancaster district of Lancashire – hence the ‘Lancaster’ and ‘Lancashire’ chants.
      Manchester was also historically part of the county of Lancashire, but since 1974 comes under the county of Greater Manchester.
      And he gave a nod to his Lancashire roots after a savage knockout blow.
      Fury’s football-like chant followed his rendition of ‘Walking in Memphis’ to the 20,000 strong crowd at T-Mobile Arena.
      The 33-year-old changed Marc Cohn’s classic to ‘Walking in Vegas’ given the location of the fight.

      Deontay Wilder’s pre-fight ‘s***-house’ move to delay his bout with Tyson Fury backfired spectacularly, writes WILLIAM PUGH. 
      The Bronze Bomber was knocked spark out in the 11th round by the Gypsy King and fans were quick to poke fun at the American’s bizarre pre-fight ritual after the defeat.
      Fury floored the American three times in Las Vegas – with the third and final time bringing their long-running rivalry to a close as the ref waved the fight off.
      Wilder, 35, was well in the contest in the early stages and even had Fury on the deck himself twice in the fourth round before the Alabama ace ran out of steam.
      It was arguably Wilder’s best performance in the trilogy but some post-fight focus was on his antics in the dressing room beforehand.
      As challenger, Wilder had to enter the ring first.
      But live footage showed him dawdling in the dressing room surrounded by his entourage. 
      Wilder was seen standing with his team in a silent circle as someone appeared to serenade or preach to the Bronze Bomber who had his head bowed.
      WILD CLAIMS
      Deontay Wilder’s trainer Malik Scott has revealed that the Bronze Bomber broke his hand during last night’s defeat to Tyson Fury.
      The American, 35, floored the Gypsy King twice in the fourth round, only to later be knocked out in the penultimate stanza of an instant classic.
      Speaking to ESNews after the bout, cornerman Scott revealed that Wilder had come out of the fight with a number of injuries.
      He said: “I took him up into his room, he’s seen a doctor afterwards.
      “Everything’s cool… he busted his lip, he broke his hand, broke his finger, knuckle, something like that.
      “But life goes on.”

      THE ROCK SAYS
      Tyson Fury’s stunning knockout victory over Deontay Wilder has been hailed as one of the greatest nights in heavyweight boxing.
      And one of the most famous men on the planet was left open-mouthed at the action unfolding in front of him.
      WWE legend and movie star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson dubbed the trilogy bout as ‘one of the greatest’ he had ever seen.
      He tweeted: “That was one of the greatest fights I’ve ever seen.
      “Congrats to my friend & champion @Tyson_Fury. What a beautiful & resilient performance.
      “What a “on the shield” heart @BronzeBomber has. I was inspired tonight by both men.”

      FURY FIGHTBACK
      After six rounds of heavyweight action in Las Vegas Tyson Fury was trailing Deontay Wilder on the judges scorecards.
      The Gypsy King knocked out Wilder in the eleventh, but was losing on points at the halfway stage.
      The scorecards revealed all three American judges to have Fury narrowly down 56-55 at the end of the sixth.
      Dave Moretti, Tim Cheatham and Steve Weisfeld gave Fury three out of the first six, but because he was knocked down twice in the fourth he lost that round 10-7.
      But after the sixth round The Gypsy King came into his own.
      Moretti and Weisfeld both gave Fury ALL of the following rounds until the knockout, while Cheatham did the same – apart from bizarrely scoring the ninth in favour of Wilder.
      By the time of the stoppage Moretti had it 95-91, Cheatham closer at 94-92 and Weisfeld at 95-92.

      LEW GOT THIS
      British boxing legend Lennox Lewis congratulated Tyson Fury on his victory in Las Vegas – just as The Gypsy King got out of the shower.
      Fury was speaking after knocking out Deontay Wilder, but spotted Lewis and shouted: “Come on Lennox get in here!”
      Fresh from washing Wilder’s blood from his body the Gypsy King was wearing just a hat and shorts as he spoke to Lewis.
      The two heavyweight greats shared a few words after Fury’s epic knockout in his trilogy fight with the Bronze Bomber.
      In a video posted to Frank Warren’s Twitter account, Lewis approaches Fury and says: “Unbelievable, great fight.
      “You showed great heart, great determination and ring IQ. Great job, enjoy it.”
      And Fury joked with the three-time world heavyweight champion: “You can’t go swimming and not get wet!”
      He then thanked the 56-year-old saying: “Thank you Lennox I really appreciate it, God bless you.”

      ERA DEFINING
      Tyson Fury’s brutal knockout of Deontay Wilder left the Gypsy King feeling sorry for his opponents.
      The Gypsy King declared: “I can only be the best fighter of my day, and I’ve done that.
      “I’m the best fighter of my era. I’m the generation fighter, I actually feel sorry for all these guys who have had to fight me.
      “Because I’m in the dressing room at home I’m not nervous – you know it’s a boxing fight to me.
      “I feel sorry for them because they’re fighting the fighter of the generation, that’s for sure.”

      DEON AND DUSTED
      Tyson Fury stated that his legendary rivalry with Deontay Wilder is “actually done”.
      Fury cemented his legacy as the greatest heavyweight boxer of his era after beating Wilder in an 11-round thriller in Las Vegas.
      The Gypsy King shook off two knockdowns and then knocked his nemesis out with a powerful punch to complete his trilogy with the Bronze Bomber.
      The British superstar praised his fallen opponent after the match but made it clear there is no rematch clause.
      Fury told BBC Sport: “It was a great trilogy, and he is a good dance partner for trilogies.
      “Wilder’s been a good dance partner but there’s no rematch clause. It’s actually done.”

      FUR JOKING
      Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder with a brutal eleventh round knockout in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
      The Gypsy King also had Wilder down in the third and the tenth, and has claimed he nearly BROKE his ankle in doing so.
      After dropping the Bronze Bomber to the canvas for the first time in the third round Fury tripped and almost fell over his huge 6ft 9in frame.
      He seemed to roll his ankle nastily and was lucky not to end up on the deck next to the stricken Wilder.
      And the 33-year-old has revealed the fight could have over barely before it started – but not because of a knockout blow.
      Fury confessed, via iFL TV: “When I hit him with an uppercut, bang in the first [third] round, dropped him, I nearly broke my ankle.
      “I went over on my ankle, my ankle’s hurt.”

      PARTY TIME
      Tyson Fury was true to his word as he celebrated victory over Deontay Wilder by partying with brother Tommy and wife Paris in Las Vegas, writes TRISTAN BARCLAY.
      The Gypsy King vowed to put any thoughts of his next opponent to the back of his mind and enjoy a night out following his stunning knock-out win.
      And hours after sending Wilder to the canvas for a third and final time at Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, Fury could be seen living it up at the glitzy Hakkasan nightclub.
      Taking his place in the DJ booth alongside pal Steve Aoki, a shirtless Fury serenaded the crowd with a selection of his now famous victory songs.
      First on the karaoke playlist was American Pie – a Fury favourite he has performed in the ring following previous wins.
      The 33-year-old then belted out versions of Sweet Caroline and ACDC’s TNT to go with the rendition of Walking In Memphis he sang in the ring hours earlier.
      It wasn’t long before Fury was then up on the DJ booth, sending the crowd into a frenzy with some shadow boxing and long-limbed dance moves.
      Fury was joined at the Hakkasan venue by his brother Tommy and wife Paris, and the rest of his sparring squad.
