“To celebrate Scotland’s 23 year wait for an international tournament, Andy has pulled together an extra special line-up of branded gifts which pay homage to the team’s roots.”

But he still told United to buy the Golden Boot winner this summer, adding: “I don’t care if its £120m.”
Keane, though, has major doubts over the 27-year-old’s ability to inspire England, just when he should be at his peak.
On his Road to Wembley series with SkyBet, former hardman midfielder Keane named the one weakness he can see in Kane’s game.
He said: “The only thing I’d hold against Kane – there’s a big negative I have towards Kane.
“I think Kane is an amazing player. I think every club should be trying to sign him.
“Man United have got to sign him, I don’t care if its £120m – sign him.

The 26-year-old helped Dinamo come from a 2-0 first leg defeat at Spurs to win the return clash 3-0 on a night the Three Lions captain missed a host of chances.
Petkovic and Kane are likely to come face-to-face again when Croatia take on England in their opening Euro 2020 Group D game this weekend.
And the ace, who has six goals in 15 caps for his country, admits he would love nothing more than to inflict more misery on the wantaway Spurs man.
Speaking at his team’s training base in Rovinj on Thursday prior to jetting to London, he said: “I’d love to get one over Harry again, it’d be great if we could pull it off at national team level too.
“I have very fond memories of that night as it was one of the brightest moments of my club career.”
Petkovic was handed the huge task of filling the boots of Mario Mandzukic after the veteran retired from international football following Croatia’s runners-up finish in the 2018 World Cup.
And some feel the burden is too great for him as he found himself under fire from critics this term for only finding the net 13 times for both club and country.
But Petkovic is adamant he is unfazed by the negative press as he issued a warning to Gareth Southgate and his defence that he is ready to hit top form.
BETTING SPECIAL – GET ENGLAND TO WIN EURO 2020 AND HARRY KANE TO BE TOP SCORER AT 18/1

Petkovic said: “I’ve had a barren run but I believe that I am capable of playing well at Euro 2020.
“A responsibility rests on my shoulders of course but turning that into relentless pressure or stage fright will do no good.”
Ahead of the opener, he added: “We are aware of England’s roster and that every player on their team has a worthy substitute as they all play at top European clubs.
“We are not focusing on any individual in particular as England have a squad full of outstanding players but we’re also confident in our own ability.”

Mbappe and Giroud in public spat, Denmark and Romania to release extra tickets, Benzema injury update – Euro 2020 LIVE

KYLIAN MBAPPE was reportedly left fuming after Olivier Giroud publicly criticised him for failing to pass. The PSG star was so angry with the Champions League winner’s comments after the friendly with Bulgaria that he reportedly wanted to call a press conference to explain his point of view.
And things didn’t turn out much better for France’s other striker Karim Benzema, who went off injured.
Meanwhile Denmark and Romania are set to announce an increase in the number of fans that can attend their Euro 2020 games – to 65 and 50 per cent respectively.

Follow all of the latest news, build up and updates below…
    TOP POG
Manchester United have opened talks with Paul Pogba’s representatives over a new deal.
According to Sky Sports, United are keen on holding on to Pogba with a fresh contract.
The star midfielder’s deal with the Red Devils expires next year in June and thus he will be allowed to negotiate with clubs outside the Premier League from January.
The 28-year-old is currently gearing up for Euro 2020 with France
    GETTY IMAGES
    FAN-TASTIC
Euro co-hosts Denmark will allow up to 65 per cent capacity for their matches at Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium.
Romania’s National Arena in Bucharest will also be 50 per cent full in the summer’s competition.
To be more specific, Parken in Copenhagen will let in 25,000 spectators up from 15,900 that was initially planned.
And there will be up to 27,000 fans in attendance for games in Bucharest
    FRENCH AFFAIR
France stars Kylian Mbappe and Olivier Giroud appear to have been embroiled in a public spat just a day before Euro 2020 kicks off.
It all started in the Tricolores’ last warm-up game against Bulgaria where Giroud was not impressed with his service after coming on as a substitute, particularly from Mbappe.
The Chelsea striker said after the game: “Sometimes you make the runs and the ball is not arriving. Perhaps we could have found each other better, there it is.”
According to L’Equipe, the ex-Arsenal ace’s comments angered the Paris Saint-Germain superstar so much that he was ready to issue a public response to clear the air
    BENZ IT LIKE KARIM
Real Madrid superstar Karim Benzema looks likely to compete at Euro 2020 despite the knock he suffered against Bulgaria.
Benzema picked up a knee injury and hobbled off the pitch in tears, which raised concern over his fitness ahead of the summer’s Euros.
However, France boss Didier Deschamps is confident the star striker is going to be fit in time for Tuesday’s opener against Germany.
Journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi backed Deschamps’ claims as he said there is ‘no worry ‘for Benzema who will return to training in 72 hours at the latest.
Bouhafsi tweeted: “No worries for KB9! Karim’s muscle deflated that night and the pain was less.
“Nevertheless, the star of #Real was not scheduled to train this Wednesday. He will resume his training path within 48 to 72 hours maximum”
    ENGLAND SCHEDULE
As we get ready for tomorrow’s Euro 2020 premiere, let’s have a look at England’s fixtures.
The Three Lions kick off their campaign on Sunday against 2018 World Cup runners-up Croatia at Wembley.
Then they will face off against Scotland in London on June 18.
Their final match of the group stage takes place on June 22 against the Czech Republic at Wembley
    PADDY POWER’S ENGLAND FAN CENTRE
Who’s ready for another traumatic tournament experience?
You might need a visit to this place afterwards…

    EUR THE ONE
Almost a quarter of England fans think the Three Lions will win Euro 2020, a YouGov survey has revealed.
More than 2000 fans were questioned about the upcoming Euros on behalf of Betfair, with 23 per cent of England fans backing Gareth Southgate’s side to go all the way.
Scotland and Wales fans also took part in the survey, but just 5 per cent of Scots and 7 per cent of Welsh fans backed England to win their first Euros.
However, 35 per cent of Scotland fans and 47 per cent of Wales fans will cheer on England, and former Three Lions boss Glenn Hoddle is pleased by the level of support.
He told Betfair: “I’m quite happy with that percentage, I thought it would be far less cheering England on. It’s always been this way, and I doubt it will change for this tournament.
“23 per cent seems a fair number, right on the money. We have a chance without any shadow of a doubt, with some good players – it’s never going to be 80 per cent of the country thinking we’ll win, is it?”
    PADDY POWER’S GIANT FLAG
Paddy Power have unveiled a giant England flag at the home of Irish side Bray Wanderers – covering the entire pitch!
The Irish bookie is calling on everyone in the nation to back England this summer.
They’re promising to donate €10,000 for every England goal at the tournament.
And they’ll double the amount if Ireland’s former international Declan Rice or ex-youth star Jack Grealish score.
    Here’s the flag…

    EARNED IT
Robert Earnshaw is a cult hero on Twitter due to his fascinating insight into a range of topics, including aliens and the person who discovered milk.
The former Wales international will join ITV as part of their Euros coverage and if he is as entertaining on TV as he is on social media then viewers are in for a treat.
Several footballers have grabbed attention for their odd opinions and tweets, such as Louis Saha being grateful for the ‘good banter’ he had with his son over dinner instead of watching TV.
None compare to Earnshaw however, who has become the master of pondering the more obscure aspects of life, almost like a Welsh Karl Pilkington.
Perhaps his most brilliant ‘eureka’ moment came during the first lockdown last year, when he stated: “There is zero evidence that today is Sunday.
“We are all kind of relying on the fact somebody has kept an accurate count since the first one ever.”

    MAG RACE
England were boosted by the return of Harry Maguire in training today ahead of their Euros bid.
And Jordan Henderson was also seen sprinting at the Three Lions base in a major boost for boss Gareth Southgate.
The Man Utd centre-back and Liverpool midfielder both had injury doubts hanging over them heading into the tournament.
It’s too early to tell whether either man could feature in Sunday’s opener against Croatia at Wembley.
But seeing two senior men and leaders back among the rest of the group is a shot in the arm for Southgate.
England face Scotland next Friday at Wembley before taking on Czech Republic in their final group game on June 22.

    RON WAY ROUND
Cristiano Ronaldo was mocked for the ‘worst free-kick’ of his entire career during Portugal’s friendly with Israel.
The Juventus superstar was renowned for his set-piece taking, especially earlier in his career with Manchester United and Real Madrid.
But he woefully dropped his standards in Portugal’s final game before the delayed European Championships.
The legendary forward, 36, completed his iconic run up to the ball but riffled one right into the empty stands.
Ronaldo was ruthlessly slammed by fans online, who called for him to stop taking free-kicks all together.

    FEELING ATTACKED
Kylian Mbappe was reportedly left feeling ‘attacked’ and ‘angry’ after team-mate Olivier Giroud’s comments that he doesn’t receive enough service while playing for France.
And such was his ‘fury’ at the Chelsea forward’s opinion, that he wanted to release a statement in order to hit back.
After coming on to score twice against Bulgaria on Tuesday night, ‘degraded’ Giroud, 34, appeared to accuse his team-mates of not picking out his runs enough.
He told L’Equipe du Soir: “I was a little quiet because, sometimes, I make runs and the balls aren’t forthcoming.
“I am not saying that I always make the best runs, but I am seeking to offer solutions in the box.”
According to L’Equipe, Mbappe was angered by Giroud’s comments – and wanted to call an impromptu press conference in order to hit back with some of his own.
    BIG NAMES MISSING OUT
Here are just a handful of top European footballers who won’t be appearing at Euro 2020:

    Virgil van Dijk
    Erling Haaland
    Sergio Ramos
    Zlatan Ibrahimovic
    Marco Reus
    Jan Oblak
    Marc-Andre ter Stegen

    BEN ROBERTS EXCLUSIVE
When Robert Sanchez was handed his shock Spain call-up, the goalie made sure to pay tribute to ‘second father’ Ben Roberts.
Brighton’s goalkeeping coach has been instrumental in helping Sanchez go from a gangly teenager who could not speak English to one of the most exciting stoppers in world football.
Roberts’ tough-love approach created a deep trust between the pair and prepared Sanchez for the big time.
The 23-year-old had not played a single Premier League appearance 12 months ago but now is going to the Euros fighting for the Spanish No1 spot.
Roberts, who also developed Nick Pope, told SunSport: “When Rob got his first Spain call-up, I had a tear in my eye, to be honest.”

    WARM-UPS DONE
All 24 qualified teams have played their final warm-up games ahead of Euro 2020.
The tournament will OFFICIALLY start tomorrow evening at 8pm (UK time) when Turkey face Italy at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.
Then there will be three games on Saturday:

    Wales v Switzerland (2pm)
    Denmark v Finland (5pm)
    Belgium v Russia (8pm)

    BRU-GOAL
Bruno Fernandes scored two and set another one up as Portugal hammered Israel 4-0 in their final warm-up match before Euro 2020.
There were also goals for Cristiano Ronaldo and Joao Cancelo.
Portugal are the defending champions following their 2016 success.

    HOW FAR WILL PORTUGAL GO?
Reigning champions Portugal have been handed a nightmare start to Euro 2020, drawn against world champions France, 2014 World Cup winners Germany and Hungary.
But, having also won the Nations League in 2019, they’ve won the last two European competitions.
Can they defend the Euros this summer?

    GOOD MORNING FOOTBALL FANS
Real Madrid star Karim Benzema looks likely to compete at Euro 2020 despite the knock he suffered against Bulgaria.
Benzema sustained a knee injury and hobbled off the pitch in tears, which raised concern over his fitness ahead of the summer’s Euros.
However, France manager Didier Deschamps is confident the star striker is going to be fit in time for Tuesday’s opener against Germany.

“Nevertheless, the star of #Real was not scheduled to train this Wednesday. He will resume his training path within 48 to 72 hours maximum.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United star Harry Maguire was the only player missing from England’s training yesterday.
The Three Lions kick off Group D against Croatia at Wembley on Sunday and Gareth Southgate had all of his players available for practice except for Maguire.
The United centre-back is set to miss the Euros opener with an ankle ligament injury he suffered at Aston Villa last month.
The 28-year-old is continuing rehab and there is no official word yet regarding a return to full fitness.
And Croatia do not intend to take a knee ahead of Sunday’s Euro 2020 opener against England.
That is according to The Athletic, who claim the 2018 World Cup runners-up do not plan to carry out the gesture to promote racial equality.
The Three Lions have confirmed that they will take a knee ahead of all games in the Euros.
England carried out the gesture during their two warm-up games against Austria and Romania despite boos from a minority of the crowd.
And finally, Spain and Sweden’s Euro 2020 opener against each other has been thrown into chaos after four players returned positive COVID-19 tests.
La Roja stars Sergio Busquets and Diego Llorente were put into isolation after being diagnosed with coronavirus.
Janne Andersson’s side also suffered a similar set back as Dejan Kulusevski and Mattias Svanberg also tested positive.
The Sweden duo are also isolating and the Group E fixture – due to be held in Seville on Monday – is now in serious jeopardy.
    BENZEMA BOOST
Real Madrid star Karim Benzema looks likely to compete at Euro 2020 despite the knock he suffered against Bulgaria.
Benzema sustained a knee injury and hobbled off the pitch in tears, which raised concern over his fitness ahead of the summer’s Euros.

But regardless if rules are made more lenient, Wembley will host at least 22,500 fans in each Euro game it hosts.
Current rules limit stadia to 10,000 fans for non designated test events.
However, each England group game will act as a government test event, allowing for up to 22,500 spectators – the number the Football Association promised Uefa.
The FA has committed to hosting at least 22,500 fans for each game at Wembley, including the latter stages.
And according to the Daily Mail, the government will not backtrack on the commitment to Uefa, with the round of 16 matches, semi-finals and final – all of which take place after June 21 – allowed to go ahead with at least 22,500 spectators.
Those games could see Wembley up to 50% full if lockdown restrictions ease, but a maximum capacity is believed to be unlikely.
England’s first match against Croatia will see vaccine passports used for the first time at a major UK sporting event.

Scotland stars WON’T take a knee at Euro 2020 and will stand before kneeling England players after squad decision

Steve Clarke’s men took a similar approach prior to the March World Cup qualifiers against Austria and Israel.
Their first match is against Czech Republic – who will be without Ondrej Kudela after he was banned for the tournament after being found guilty of making a racist comment towards Rangers star Glen Kamara.
A statement read: “The Scotland Men’s National Team will continue to take a stand against racism prior to kick-off for all UEFA EURO 2020 matches.
“The squad, coaching staff and backroom members will stand up to racism ahead of the Group D matches against Czech Republic, England and Croatia.”
Scotland skipper Andy Robertson said: “It is important we continue to tackle the issue of racism and raise awareness of the need to change people’s mindsets but also their behaviours.
“Prior to our World Cup qualifiers in March we spoke as a group and felt that taking a stand was the best way for us to show solidarity and also to reinforce the need for meaningful change in society.”

    EURO 2020 BETTING SPECIAL

Scotland’s stance will be in total contrast to England who have taken the decision to take a knee before their matches.
It means when the sides clash at Wembley, the Scottish players will stand while England stars kneel as they express their stance on the fight against racism in different ways.
The issue has become muddied by sections of England’s support booing the players when they took the knee before their warm-up matches.
England manager Gareth Southgate has hit out at the boo boys.

Scotland’s Group D rivals are fearful of the welcome they will receive at Hampden for Monday’s vital Euro 2020 clash.
Czech No 2 Jiri Chytry has begged the Tartan Army not to target his side over Ondrej Kudela’s racist blast at Kamara.
The news came shortly after Romania’s Nicolae Stanciu refused to take a knee against England – in PROTEST at Kudela’s Euros ban.
The Slavia Prague midfielder revealed he stood up in solidarity with the Czech who was suspended for racist language.

Who is Slavko Vincic? Euro 2020 referee released without charge after being arrested in drugs and prostitution raid

SLOVENIAN referee Slavko Vincic has emerged from a turbulent year to be appointed to Euro 2020.The continent’s biggest football competition seemed a world away a year ago, when he was arrested in Bosnia and accused of being part of a drugs and prostitution ring.

However, he was later released without charge and is now free to focus on football, where he is recognised as one of Europe’s best referees.
    Who is Slavko Vincic?
A native of Maribor, Vincic turned professional in 2007 making his debut in Slovenia’s top flight.
Vincic was included in the Slovenian officiating team at Euro 2012 as an unused additional assistant.
The experienced 41-year-old has been a Fifa accredited referee since 2010 and has regularly officiated in the Champions League and Europa League.
Vincic took charge of Liverpool’s Champions League last 16 first leg tie against RB Leipzig in February and the first leg of Chelsea’s quarter final against Porto.
He is part of Uefa’s group of elite referees having officiated across Europe’s top competitions.

    What happened in Bosnia?
Slavko Vincic said of his arrest: “I found myself on this ranch by chance. I have my own company, I was in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a business meeting.
“I accepted an invitation to lunch, which turned out to be my biggest mistake. I regret it.
“I was sitting at a table with my company, all of a sudden the police came and what happened, happened.
“I have nothing to do with the group that was arrested and detained, nor do my business partners.
“Yes, they really took us to the police, asked as witnesses, when it turned out that we didn’t even know them, we were able to go.”
Vincic was defended by the Slovenian FA who viewed the incident as their man being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
What games is he taking charge of at Euro 2020?
This has not yet been confirmed but he is expected to officiate in the group stages of the tournament. More

    MARC ANDRE TER STEGEN
The Barcelona star needs to have a procedure on his knee. As a result the Germans will just have to make do with Manuel Neuer and Bernd Leno so they should be OK.
    TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD
Liverpool’s star right-back hurt his thigh in England’s pre-tournament friendlly against Austria.
He limped off the pitch leaving Gareth Southgate with just the three world-class full-backs to pick from in his position – Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier and Reece James.

    SERGIO RAMOS
For the first time in history there will be no Real Madrid players in the Spain squad.
Ramos is captain of both teams and has been left out of his country’s squad for the Euros after mising several games for Los Blancos through injury towards the end of the season.
Manchester City star Aymeric Laporte has been called up in his place.

    VIRGIL VAN DIJK
The Liverpool star has been out injured for most of the season after Jordan Pickford crocked him in the Merseyside derby in October.
His knee ligament injury has not cleared up in time meaning Holland’s captain will miss out.
Having failed to qualify for Euro 2016 and the last World Cup, Van Dijk is yet to represent the Dutch at a major tournament.
    FERLAND MENDY
Another Real Madrid star who won’t feature at the Euros.
He was struck down with tibial periostitis (severe shin splints) last month and has not been included in France’s squad as a result.
This could be the best XI players to miss out on the Euros
    DOMINIK SZOBOSZLAI
The 20-year-old is widely regarded as Hungary’s best player for decades.
But the RB Leipzig star will not be able to showcase his talents on the big stage as he has failed to recover from a groin injury picked up earlier in the season.
    SERGIO BUSQUETS
The Barcelona midfielder was the first Spain player to be struck down with Covid-19.
Leeds ace Diego Llorente followed on soon after and, having both gone into periods of isolation, they could miss the tournament completely if they don’t return negative results while Spain are still involved.

    NICOLO ZANIOLO
The Italian midfielder ruptured his cruciate ligament playing for Roma in September.
He was hoping to recover in time but after a couple of minor setbacks the 21-year-old will have to wait until Qatar 2022 to represent his nation at a major tournament.
Is this the best XI players not to make Gareth Southgate’s initial England squad?
    MASON GREENWOOD
Manchester United’s attacking ace was far from guaranteed a spot in Gareth Southgate’s final 26-man squad.
But the decision was taken out the Three Lions boss’ hands when the 19-year-old pulled out due to an underlying injury.
    ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC
Having made a remarkable comeback to the international stage aged 39, the AC Milan star will miss out on Sweden’s Euros campaign with a knee injury.
The icon has scored 62 goals in 118 Sweden games and was welcomed back into the fold earlier this season after a five-year break but will miss what would surely have been his last opportunity at a major tournament.
    ANSU FATI
Barcelona’s promising winger has been suffering for most of the season with the knee injury he picked up in November.
He has had three operations since but the 18-year-old will not be getting any minutes for Spain.
But the promising teenager has time on his side so expect to see him turning out for La Roja at Qatar 2022 if fitness allows.
