Youssoufa Moukoko becomes youngest Champions League player ever after coming on in Dortmund’s win at Zenit

YOUSSOUFA MOUKOKO made history tonight by becoming the youngest Champions League player ever.
The Borussia Dortmund starlet came off the bench in their 2-1 win at Zenit St Petersburg aged 16 years and 18 days.

He broke the record set by Celestine Babayaro when he came on for Anderlecht against Steaua in 1994 aged 16 years and 87 days.
Moukoko shattered the Bundesliga record when he came off the bench against Hertha Berlin last month just one day after his 16th birthday.
He was part of the squad to take on Club Brugge earlier in the group phase but never made it onto the pitch.
However, history was made on Tuesday night in Russia when he replaced Felix Passlack just before the hour mark.

Dortmund won the game 2-1 thanks to a stunning late winner from former Zenit man Axel Witsel.
The German side finished top of Group F after coming from behind to win in Russia and qualified ahead of Lazio in second.
Moukoko scored a barely-believable 192 goals in 123 youth games for the German giants before turning pro.
Such is the hype surrounding the forward, Moukoko is being paid £6,000-a-week by Dortmund – an amazing amount for a youth team player.

On top of that, the youngster signed a long-term deal with Nike last year – worth an jaw-dropping £9MILLION in all.
Moukoko is understood to have taken home a signing-on fee of nearly £1m for joining forces with the sport brand.
Bild claim Moukoko will receive a ‘mid-six-figure sum’ when he makes his Bundesliga debut, which could be this weekend with his birthday a day before Dortmund play Hertha Berlin.

Inter boss Antonio Conte adamant Real Madrid and Gladbach won’t play for a ‘biscuit’ draw in Champions League decider

ANGRY Antonio Conte has dismissed “biscuit” theories that Real Madrid and Borussia Moenchengladbach will hob-nob together in a bid to dump Inter Milan out of the Champions League.
Top two sides Real and Gladbach will reach the KO stage if they draw their Group B finale in Spain… unless Shakhtar Donetsk avoid defeat at Inter.

Inter boss Antonio Conte says ‘biscuit’ theories of Real and Gladbach eyeing a draw will crumble to nothing as Group B faces a thrilling climax Credit: Getty Images – Getty

But despite the wafer-thin margins, Inter chief Conte finds such ideas hard to digest.
Parts of the Italian sports media love conspiracy theories, which in that country are bafflingly known as “biscuits”.
But when Conte was quizzed on the notion of a potential stitch-up, the ex-Chelsea chief brandy-snapped.

Hitting out at the half-baked ideas, he said: “This is the Champions League – we are talking about big clubs, not a kickaround in the park.

“I’m not at all worried about what will happen in Madrid, let’s not talk about other matches.
“I hope the media don’t focus too much on rumours about playing for a mutually beneficial result. It’s depressing to hear about it.
“This is all conjecture – Inter, Shakhtar, Real and Borussia will all play to win their own games.”
    REAL GAMBLE
Gladbach head the group on eight points, with Real and Shakhtar on seven and Inter on five.

And even if notions of the top two playing for a cautious draw had any truth, such a policy would still be a gamble for Real.
That’s because, even if they gain a point against Gladbach, they would slip to third place and out of the competition if Shakhtar draw at Inter.

Inter beat Shakhtar 5-0 in last season’s Europa League semi-final in August but drew 0-0 in Ukraine earlier in this Champions League group.
Conte said: “They’re a really good team with a great coach.
“They have quality on the ball and good technical players, some pacy ones too.”

How Chelsea can line up vs Krasnodar with Tino Anjorin to join Kepa and Gilmour in starting XI as Lampard rests stars

FRANK LAMPARD has confirmed that Tino Anjorin will join Billy Gilmour and Kepa Arrizabalaga in the starting XI against Krasnodar.
Chelsea have already sealed their place in the Champions League last-16 as group winners following last week’s 4-0 victory in Sevilla.

How Chelsea are set to line up vs Krasnodar including Gilmour and Anjorin

And Lampard is set to mix his team up so that key figures are given a break for Wednesday’s home clash.
That means Edouard Mendy will be get the night off after making a huge impact during his short time at Stamford Bridge.
Flop goalkeeper Kepa will make his fourth appearance of the season instead.
It will be the Spaniard’s first game since the 3-3 draw with Southampton in October.

⚽ Read our Chelsea live blog for the very latest news from the Bridge
But Kepa is preferred to veteran Willy Caballero, while Petr Cech is only registered in Chelsea’s Premier League squad.
Meanwhile, club captain Cesar Azpilicueta is set to come in at right-back for the impressive Reece James.
And Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso should replace Ben Chilwell on the other side of defence.

Centre-backs Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma are also likely to drop out, giving chances to Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger.

In midfield, Scottish starlet Gilmour will make his first start of the season following a return from injury.
And Anjorin is set to make his first-ever Champions League start having played just twice for the senior side – once in the Premier League and once in the Carabao Cup.
The young duo are likely to line up alongside Mateo Kovacic – who was benched for the win over Leeds.
In attack, there is no Hakim Ziyech or Callum Hudson-Odoi as they have both suffered hamstring injuries.
Olivier Giroud could also be given a rest after starting the last two games, providing an opportunity for Tammy Abraham to lead the line.
Christian Pulisic is likely to start on one wing as he gains minutes after his own injury problem.
And Kai Havertz could get the nod ahead of fellow German Timo Werner in a more attacking role following his recovery from coronavirus.
Should Lampard really look to dig deep into his squad, outcast Fikayo Tomori could see some action.
Mason Mount deserves a night off but may also be needed against the Russians.
