According to Bild, however, Bayern are considering Sokratis to re-inforce their defence amid an ongoing injury crisis.
The German champions’ starting centre-backs Matthijs de Ligt and Dayot Upamecano have both been sidelined.
De Ligt is dealing with a knee problem while Upamecano suffered a hamstring injury against Freiburg on Sunday.
And manager Thomas Tuchel could turn to Sokratis with whom he has a very good relationship.

Tuchel and the centre-back worked together at Borussia Dortmund, where the player made 198 appearances during his five-year stint at the club before his move to Arsenal in 2018.
However, Bayern might wait until the end of the international break to fully assess De Ligt and Upamecano’s fitness.
The Bavarians will then decide whether to go after another central defender in the January transfer window.
But the ex-Chelsea boss will want both players available on December 12 when Bayern visit Old Trafford for their return fixture against Manchester United in the Champions League.

This comes after Tuchel’s side decided against reinstating Jerome Boateng to the squad.
Boateng has been training with the reserves ever since his departure from Lyon in June.
Sokratis, though, has had other offers as he was also approached by Real Betis.
The Spaniards wanted the 35-year-old to move to the Benito Villamarin and replace the injured Marc Bartra.
According to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, however, negotiations between the two parties fell through.
Sokratis spent three years at Arsenal where he registered six goals and two assists in 69 appearances.
The ex-Greece international also won the FA Cup in 2020 before his move to Olympiacos a year later.

Kane has got off to a flyer in Bavaria, netting eight goals in just six Bundesliga games.
His latest effort came from the penalty spot as Bayern battled back for a 2-2 draw against RB Leipzig on Saturday
But Kane, 30, is already thinking about life after he hangs up his boots.
The World Cup Golden Boot winner is a huge fan of American football.

Former Spurs star Clive Allen enjoyed a late spell in the sport and has since urged Kane to follow in his footsteps.
The Three Lions skipper previously revealed he would be interested in making the switch to NFL as a kicker.
And Kane has now set a timeline for a move to happen, reckoning he’s got at least five more years in football before making a potential switch.
Kane told ESPN: “Yeah the NFL thing, a lot of people have talked to me about that.

“I’ve said it’s something that I’d like to explore at a later date.
“But I think it all depends on where I’m at in my career, whether I’m happy to continue playing football. There’s a lot of questions marks.
“So it’s something that’s in the back of my mind but still a long, long way away so again it’s not something I’m thinking about right now.
“I guess time will tell and in life sometimes things just play out how they’re supposed to play out.
“We’ll see in five, six, seven years where I’m at and where I want to be and what I want to do and I’ll make that decision then.” More

Former Chelsea target makes Prem clubs who snubbed him eat their words with stunning goal spree in Germany

SERHOU GUIRASSY’S sensational form in Germany has opened up old wounds among his Premier League admirers. The Stuttgart striker, 27, wanted to play in England’s top flight.

And Frank Lampard was eyeing up a move for him while Everton boss.
Lamps had been keen on Guirassy after seeing him play for French outfit Rennes while he was in charge at Chelsea.
But Toffees bigwigs overruled him and they ended up signing Neal Maupay from Brighton for £15million in August 2022.
That deal was a total disaster as the Frenchman managed only one goal last season before he was loaned out to former club Brentford last month.

Burnley considered taking Guinea international Guirassy on loan in the 2021-22 season.
They signed Wout Weghorst instead in January last year — and he scored just twice as they went down after boss Sean Dyche was sacked.
West Ham, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United also tried and failed for Guirassy earlier in his career when he was at French side Amiens.
And Chelsea offered him a trial when he was looking to leave Amiens in 2020.

At 27, it’s fair to say that Guirassy has been a late bloomer in modern football terms.
Prior to this season he has never scored more than 11 goals in a league season.
But after starting this season in blistering form, he has managed 10 goals and one assist in just six league appearances for Stuttgart.
Stuttgart’s 2-0 victory against FC Koln yesterday was the first time Guirassy failed to register a goal or an assist in a game so far this season.
His ten goals in his first five games saw him match Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga record of being on double figures after five.
And when Lewandowski set that record, he went on to score 41 Bundesliga goals across the season – the most ever in a single campaign.
Guirassy’s goals has seen Stuttgart start remarkably as they sit in second behind fellow surprise packages Bayer Leverkusen in first.
It’s a remarkable turnaround in fortunes for a club that only stayed in Germany’s top division last season after winning a relegation play off against Bundesliga II side Hamburg.
If Guirassy’s goals continue, they’ll be dreaming of Champions League football next year and his admirers in the Premier League may have to pay big money if they look to reignite their interest in the Guinea international. More

It was widely believed that the England captain had joined Bayern in a deal worth £104million.
However, Hainer has now claimed that the transfer cost much less after revealing the real price of the deal.
Speaking to FAZ, he explained that Kane cost under £85million when he swapped London for Munich.
“Harry Kane didn’t cost more than 100 million – unless we win this, this and that in the next few seasons. Excluding bonuses, we’re under 100 million.”

Asked if he meant Euros or Pounds, Hainer responded: “Euros.”
Kane has settled into life in Germany since his move, attending Oktoberfest with his team-mates last weekend.
He wore traditional lederhosen as he soaked up the festivities and even met his own doppelganger.
Since joining Thomas Tuchel’s side in August, Kane has scored eight goals in seven appearances across all competitions.

However, a German rule means his hat-trick against Bochum earlier this month does not count.

I joined Bayern Munich when I was 16 and was coached by World Cup winner but I’m happier playing in League One

LIAM MORRISON may have been coached by a German World Cup-winner and played for one of Europe’s biggest clubs — but he is happy plying his trade in League One.The Scottish defender joined Wigan this summer on a season-long loan from Bayern Munich.

Morrison, 20, was coached by icon Miroslav Klose after signing for the Bavarian giants in the summer of 2019.
Both Klose — who holds the record for most World Cup goals (16) and lifted the trophy in 2014 – and former Manchester City star Martin Demichelis have helped him hone his skills in Germany.
Morrison, a regular for Bayern’s second team, said: “The amount of stuff I learned from them was incredible. Klose is one of the best strikers of all time, so it was weird being coached by him.
“Because Demichelis was also a centre-half, he helped me so much with the smaller details that someone who isn’t a defender might not be aware of.”

Saltcoats-born Morrison was the first signing of the Mike Danson era at Wigan, after the billionaire bought the club in June. Relegated from the Championship, they were handed an eight-point deduction from the EFL for failing to pay players’ wages on time.
It means that, although the Latics — who host league leaders Portsmouth on Saturday — have won four of their opening eight games, they remain in the relegation zone on five points.
Morrison and his team-mates gave already given Wigan fans plenty to smile about, having thrashed arch-rivals Bolton 4-0 away from home last month.
He said: “Those kind of games are the ones which can define your season.

“I came here because I wanted to experience first-team professional football.
“The minute I spoke to (Wigan manager) Shaun Maloney, I knew I wanted to be part of his journey.
“He had a set plan for me and the way he wants us to play as a team suits me to a tee.
“We are a young group, and will get better as the season goes on.”
The boyhood Celtic fan began his career on the other side of Glasgow with Rangers, before moving to Parkhead.
And he was only 16 when Bayern came calling in August 2019 — barely four months after his 16th birthday.
Morrison said: “Bayern had watched me play for Scotland at youth level and their offer was too good to turn down.
“My family came with me for the first month and then I moved into the club’s campus, which is similar to a university campus, for those players who didn’t come from the area.
“I struggled for the first week after my family left, but I knew the amount of stuff I was going to learn would be incredible.”
Morrison also formed a close bond with current Bayern superstar Jamal Musiala, who has already won four Bundesliga titles and a Champions League.
He said: “Jamal can do things with a football which never cease to amaze me, but he is an even better person.
“We are close to this day and we still talk.”
He was also in the same age group as Chris Richards, now at Crystal Palace, and has twice been called up to the Bayern first-team squad, first under Julian Nagelsmann and then by current boss Thomas Tuchel.
He was on the bench, too, when Bayern travelled to Werder Bremen in May.

Morrison, who has two years left on his contract at Bayern, added: “I’ve been given amazing opportunities.
“For now, I am gaining as much experience at first-team level with Wigan as I can and am becoming an all-round better player.” More
