And Haney, 24, found out the hard way not to refrain for too long.
He said on the Pivot Podcast: “I used to do the eight weeks, the weight week thing.
“And I couldn’t do it cause’ I started getting like wet dreams when it got closer to my fight.
“One day I had a wet dream the day of the fight, so I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t do it.

“When you’ve got too much testosterone, like too much built up, then your body is going to find a way to release it.
“So when you go too long, it’s too long.”
YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul, 26, infamously partially put down his loss to Tommy Fury, 24, on having a wet dream before the fight.
Haney returns to the ring on Saturday in Las Vegas, defending his undisputed lightweight titles against Vasiliy Lomachenko, 35.

The American won the belts against George Kambosos Jr, 29, last June and defended them in an immediate rematch in October.
But defending his WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO belts against Lomachenko acts as the biggest night in his career.
Haney said: “I’m going to put on a dominant victory.
“I’m going to go in there and impose my will on Loma and show the world how great Devin Haney really is, how versatile, how strong, how young, and how experienced I am in that ring.
“This is all a dream come true. I thank God for this every day. I watched fighters make their grand arrivals when I was a young kid.
“This is all a blessing, and I’m excited for Saturday night.”

Anthony Joshua told what he must do to set up ‘the biggest fight of all time’ against Tyson Fury

EDDIE HEARN claimed Anthony Joshua is just one step away from securing the “biggest fight of all time” against Tyson FuryThe great rivals have tried but failed in the past to commence a Battle of Britain bout.

But with Joshua in line to face Deontay Wilder at the end of the year, Hearn believes it could help pave the way for a blockbuster with Fury.
He said: “If Anthony Joshua fights Deontay Wilder and beats him, it makes the AJ vs Tyson Fury fight the biggest fight of all time.”
Hearn has been locked in negotiations for Joshua, 33, to fight Wilder, 37, in December in Saudi Arabia.
And boxing bosses in the Middle East want to host Fury, 34, against Oleksandr Usyk, 36, on the SAME NIGHT.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
But whether or not the heavyweight bonanza can be achieved or not, Hearn insisted AJ is still on course to face Wilder.
He told Stamina for Sale: “The situation is, Saudi Arabia would like to do Fury against Usyk, AJ against Wilder on the same night.
“I went out there two weeks ago, they’re deadly serious, I’ve done two big fights with them before, I know they deliver.
“As I understand it, they’ve been doing their own negotiations with Deontay Wilder, which has gone very well.

“They’ve been talking to Usyk for a year, because he boxed AJ over there and they know the rough kind of numbers that we want based on what we received for the Andy Ruiz fight and Usyk fight in Saudi Arabia.
“Fury is another story altogether, but not my business. But all I’m concerned about is doing the deal for AJ against Wilder, because if they can’t get Usyk and Fury over the line they will still do AJ against Wilder.
“This is what they want. They want this big quartet. AJ’s already told me ‘no problem’.
“You hit the numbers that we want for the fight, that aren’t unreasonable and not hugely out of proportion in terms of what he received there last time, we’re in.”

KSI reveals only reason he took Joe Fournier fight and vows to refuse rematch even if he’s DISQUALIFIED

KSI is ready to snub a rematch with Joe Fournier even if his knockout win is overturned to a DISQUALIFICATION. Controversy struck last Saturday at Wembley Arena when Fournier was left out for the count by KSI.

Replays revealed the YouTube sensation landed an accidental but illegal elbow, which consequently caused the KO.
Fournier, 40, accused KSI, 29, of cheating and demanded a disqualification or rematch be called.
The Professional Boxing Association – who sanctioned the fight – confirmed an appeal has been lodged and will conclude by Friday.
And while KSI is ready to accept the win being overturned, he will fume if a DQ is ruled.

He said on The MMA Hour: “If it’s a no-contest, fine.
“I’ll be p****d if it’s a disqualification, because I didn’t intentionally try to hit him with my forearm or my elbow or whatever.

“Like, I came through with a right hook to try and knock him out while he was coming in to clinch me, because I knew he was going to scramble to save his life after I hit him with an overhand.
“At least now Joe Fournier doesn’t look like a loser. He can be like, ‘Ah, because of the whole no-contest, it doesn’t really count.’ Even though I was all over him, but yeah.”

Despite the controversial ending, KSI has no interest in a rematch.
He said: “I was beating him and it was easy. It way easier than I thought it would be. And I’m just like, what’s the point? Why not?
“And if anything, most people are like, ‘What’s the point?’ The public are like, ‘We don’t care. You beat him anyway, so fight Tommy Fury.’
“People want to see me get tested. People are sick and tired of me just deleting people.
“They’re like, ‘Alright, cool. Let’s see how you do against Tommy Fury. If you delete him, then fine, you’re the GOAT, and then we’ll never say a bad word again.’
I’ll be p****d if it’s a disqualification, because I didn’t intentionally try to hit him with my forearm or my elbow or whatever. KSI on Joe Fournier appealing his KO loss
“But right now it’s like, they want to see me get tested.”
KSI has set his sights on fighting Fury next, following his win over Paul by split-decision in Saudi Arabia in February.
It came after the American instead chose to return against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, on August 5 in Texas.
KSI – returned to boxing to fight Paul – is ready to face Fury next instead of rematching Fournier.
    He said: “I’m at peace with a no-contest. I don’t really mind because, for me, I’m a fair guy. If it is a no-contest, it’s a no-contest.
“It is what it is. I don’t need a win. For me, the reason I came back was to knock out Jake Paul.

Although it does not look set to stop him from trying to organise a fight with social media star Saleh.
According to Fred Talks Fighting, the former world champion reached out to Saleh to discuss a bout.
Due to Khan’s ban, it would likely be an exhibition bout with a target date believed to be in August or September.

UKAD confirmed Khan’s ban – after it was referred to the National Anti-Doping Panel – but he doubled down on unknowingly consuming the substance.
A statement read: “Mr Khan’s case was heard by the independent tribunal on 24 January 2023 and in its written decision dated 21 February 2023, the panel found both violations proved, concluded that Mr Khan had established that they were not ‘intentional’ within the meaning of ADR Article 10.2.3 and imposed a two-year ban on him.”

Tyson Fury faces ONE YEAR lay off with champ set to snub summer return to wait for Oleksandr Usyk fight in December

TYSON FURY faces ONE YEAR out of the ring as he looks set to snub a summer return to wait out for Oleksandr Usyk in December. The pair of unbeaten champions were on course to meet in the heavyweight division’s first ever four-belt unification bout.

But talks collapsed at the 11th hour due to a row over the money split for a potential rematch.
As a result, Fury looked forced into a summer return fight against a challenger for his WBC title.
But as the clock ticks, talks have been ongoing on the background with boxing bosses in Saudi Arabia.
The Middle Eastern hosts want Fury to fight Usyk on the SAME NIGHT as Anthony Joshua, 33, against Deontay Wilder, 37.

And with so much money and legacy seemingly waiting for the Gypsy King, his US promoter Bob Arum revealed he could sit out for it.
Arum told Pro Box TV: “I really think any of the money that anybody’s talking about for that fight pales in comparison to what they could make in the Middle East.
“They’re waiting now, both fighters, for the end of the year, to fight each other in the middle east, because that’s where the big money is.
“Right now I think he’s going to wait, but with Tyson Fury it depends on how he wakes up in the morning.”

Usyk, 36, was ordered into a WBA mandatory title defence against Daniel Dubois following his breakdown in talks with Fury, 34.
But no deal between the two camps was reached so the bout is set to go to purse bids on May 25.
Although if Dubois, 25, is unable to fight, the WBA will instead order Wilder into the fight with Usyk.
And despite talks ongoing for the American to face Joshua, his manager admitted they would consider switching their plans.
Shelly Finkel told Sky Sports: “If Deontay was offered the fight against Oleksandr Usyk, of course we would be interested.”

I had a sex ban before all of my fights, it helped me punch harder because women weaken legs claims Carl Froch

CARL FROCH followed the advice of Rocky Balboa’s fictional trainer Mickey Goldmill during his career – by banning sex while in training. The old boxing myth suggests avoiding sex builds up testosterone, despite studies debunking the theory.

During a famous Rocky scene, his coach Mickey tells Balboa: “Listen kid, you lay off that pet shop dame. Women weaken legs!”
The advice was good enough for the beloved Hollywood character to listen to and apparently ex-world champion Froch felt the same.
Opening up about his sex ban, he told OLBG: “Women weaken legs! Old Mickey quote from Rocky and it’s true. Well I think so anyway!”
Froch, now 45, retired in 2014 after knocking out George Groves in front of 80,000 fans in their Wembley rematch.

And his model Rachael had to endure a period of not sleeping with her husband.
She said at the time: “The sex ban is so hard for me – but Carl tells me he isn’t that bothered because he’s exhausted and it’s the last thing on his mind.
“After such a long wait it’s really good to have our sex life back to normal and to have that closeness again, to be able to have sex like a normal young couple.”
Froch has been happy to stay out of boxing since his retirement but does pitch in with the occasional punditry work.

Although he teased a comeback after being called out by YouTuber-turned boxer Jake Paul, 26, earlier in the year.
Paul went on to lose to Tommy Fury, 24, but Froch admitted he would still consider the fight if the price is right.
He said: “I would always be interested in fighting someone who can’t fight like Jake Paul. It’s like someone giving you a suitcase full of money – you won’t say no.
“I would train for it, I stay in the gym anyway and keep myself in good shape. Right now I am 45 and I retired at 36-37.
“There is a reason that I retired as after a certain age, the weight cut becomes way too difficult. I wouldn’t make the weight for Jake Paul – I would be 14 stone.
“If a fight was on the cards – which it isn’t because Paul realised he can’t fight after losing to Tommy Fury and he wasn’t even British level at the time, then I would fight him because like I said before it is easy money.”
