Billy Joe Saunders tells Canelo ‘if you beat me, don’t pay me’ as he tees up mega bout with Mexican

BILLY JOE SAUNDERS has thrown down the gauntlet to Canelo Alvarez insisting he will sacrifice his purse if he loses.
The Brit, 30, was due to defend his WBO super-middleweight title against the Mexican superstar, 29, this summer until the coronavirus pandemic KO’d the clash.

Canelo wants to challenge for the super-middleweight title
With Canelo wanting to fight in September, Saunders withdrew from talks, citing an inability to train properly.
But following the news Alvarez could be forced to backdate his ring return, Saunders urged the four-division champion to face him in December.
And he is so confident the unbeaten southpaw is even prepared to go unpaid if he loses.
Saunders told iFL TV: “Listen, I’ll tell you the best thing for Canelo to do.

“Wait until December and come to a proper super-middleweight, a proper champion.

“Wait until December, then let’s go. December, we’re ready, let’s go. Fair, even playing field, no robbery.
“I’ll you what I’ll do – the money I’ve signed for, keep it. I swear to God, I’ll let you keep it.
“If he wants to come to England I’ll let him keep it and I’ll fight him for free.

“If I beat him, pay me what I’m contracted. If I don’t, don’t pay me.
“That’s how fair I can be. That’s how confident I am of beating him.”

The other vehicles include a Ferrari 488 worth around £238,000 and a Mercedes-Maybach – the cheapest of the bunch valued at £172,000.

Mayweather is obviously used to travelling in luxury and would be stuck for choice with his all-black collection of Rolls-Royces.
One of those is the classic Phantom costing £355,000, a Phantom Drophead Coupe coming in at £367,000, a Dawn valued at £264,000 and a Wraith costing £364,000.
There’s also the largest of the vehicles, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan that costs £300,000.
Alongside an image of his garage lined up with ten of the stunning vehicles, he wrote: “My garage looking like an indoor dealership with a few light toys.”

Anthony Joshua says Tyson Fury regularly rings him to tell him ‘I’ll knock you out’ as they look to fight one another

ANTHONY JOSHUA has revealed that Tyson Fury “randomly” phones him to tell the 2012 Olympic champ he is going to “knock him out”.
The Brit, who beat Andy Ruiz Jr in their December rematch, admitted Fury has made several calls to him.

    1

Anthony Joshua has revealed he gets random phone calls from Tyson Fury telling him he will knock him outCredit: Rex Features
AJ told Behind the Gloves: “He’s an interesting character.
“Tyson will call me randomly on the phone and he will be like, ‘have a little laugh and I will have a little laugh’.
“Then I will say I’m going to knock you out, then he will say ‘shut up I’ll knock you out.”
“That’s just me and Tyson, through and through the respect’s there but we’re fighting men.”

When asked if he and Fury are friends, Joshua was quick to reply: “Not friends, not friends, not friends but there’s a mutual respect there, I respect the man, he’s done his thing.”
And Joshua, who suffered his first pro defeat against Ruiz last year, said he would love to fight Mancunian Fury one day.
He said: “He’s a fighting man he started at the age of 12, I started at the age of 18, I didn’t do nothing else before.
“I used to play a bit of football in the local area but when it came to boxing, that’s where my heart is attached to, I love this sport and I’d love to fight him one day.”

AJ’s patience was worn thin when Fury said he would quit if he lost the rematch to Ruiz.
The Mexican-American shocked the boxing world on June 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City when he knocked out Joshua in the seventh round, picking up the Englishman’s WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight world titles.
Ahead of Joshua’s victory, Fury told IFL TV: “If you can’t beat Andy Ruiz Jr, you can’t do anything to Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder. Or any other decent heavyweight in the world.
“If he can’t beat Andy Ruiz Jr in the rematch, he’s finished – DONE, finished, goodnight, bye-bye.

“If he can’t beat Ruiz in the rematch he needs to retire – simple as, forget about it, give it up as a bad job.
“He’s done well out of it, he’s had a few quid, he’s won a world title before and everything else that goes with it so fair play to him.”
But Joshua hit back, saying Fury does not have the right to say when he retires because he was not there at the beginning when he started in boxing.
Joshua told IFL TV: “Who is he to talk? Did he help me get into boxing to tell me when I should leave at? No one can tell me when to retire except for me.

Tyson Fury reveals he ‘didn’t want to be alive’ as he thanks pals for getting him back from brink to become world champ

TYSON FURY has thanked his team for helping him get back to the top of boxing.
The Gypsy King struggled with depression and considered suicide during his two years away from the ring.

    1

Tyson Fury revealed he has held talks with Dana White over a UFC switch
The two-time heavyweight world champion expressed his gratitude to his pals on Twitter for helping him reach the top once again.
He wroted: “Massive shoutout to my team every single member you know who you are.
“There was a time not so long ago where I was so unwell the only thing I could think of was death and how I didn’t want to be alive.
“Just over two years later I’m loving life and healthy as a trout and have reached the pinnacle of sport again.

“This shows you no matter how bad things get you must continue as things will get better I promise you, you can get your life back.”
Fury struggled with depression following his world title win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, failing a drug test for cocaine and relinquishing his WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
The lineal world heavyweight champion swelled to 150kg and thought about suicide before his return to boxing.
Fury completed his comeback in February with a seventh-round TKO of Deontay Wilder to become the WBC title-holder.

Rapper 50 Cent tells Mayweather to ‘keep my name out your mouth’ as pair reignite long-running feud

RAPPER 50 Cent has reignited his long-running feud with Floyd Mayweather after telling his former friend: “Keep my name out your mouth.”
The ex-best pals have turned into sworn enemies over the years, starting when Mayweather was released from prison in 2012.

    2

Mayweather recently told rapper Fat Joe their falling out came after 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – demanded half ownership of The Money Team.
He said: “You can’t hang out with me every day for years then all of a sudden if I don’t give you half of my company you’re like ‘you’re dumb, you’re stupid, you can’t do this and you can’t do that’.
“But if I can’t do all these things, why are you hanging around with me? That’s all I’m trying to add.
“If I’m such a person that doesn’t know certain things, and I’m not that sharp, why you want to be around with me every day.”

Despite being asked to open up about about the falling out by Joe, 50 Cent warned Mayweather not to mention him again.
Jackson wrote on social media: “I’m not the marketing campaign champ, keep my name out your mouth.
“Damn somebody read this for champ, I don’t fu* wit you, you don’t fu* wit me. OK.”

Rap-royalty 50 Cent was once a valued member of Mayweather’s circle, with the pair inseparable.

But their recent online feud traces back to when Mayweather was served three months in jail.
Jackson claimed he was owed $2million by the boxer having taken care of his promotional banner.
In a 2012 interview, 50 Cent said: “I took a look and I realised there is no Mayweather Promotions. There’s no LLC. There’s no seal. It’s not incorporated
“When he says help him with Mayweather Promotions and it’s not there, I say, ‘OK, I know what he means.’ He wants me to put it together for him.
“I’m sitting there going, ‘When you gonna give me the money… when you gonna give me your half of the money back?’
“But, I ain’t trying to press him because he just got out of jail.”

I’m not the marketing campaign champ, keep my name out your mouth.
    50 Cent on Mayweather

They would publicly fall out that year and never patch things up.
Following several back and forths between them, 50 Cent in February claimed Mayweather needed a boxing comeback as his “money’s gone”.
But Mayweather hit back and said their beef was totally random and he never put a foot wrong with the American artist.
He told Drink Champs: “I’ve been nothing but good to him. I’ve been nothing but solid with him. I’m a solid dude and he knows I’m a solid dude.

Tyson Fury warned he has ‘no escape’ from fighting Dillian Whyte after Deontay Wilder as Eddie Hearn hails WBC ruling

TYSON FURY has been warned he has “no escape” from fighting Dillian Whyte if he beats Deontay Wilder.
Fury, 31, who won the WBC title in February, is contracted to an immediate rematch against Wilder, 34.

But the WBC confirmed after the trilogy bout – which faces being moved from December to early 2021 – the winner must face 32-year-old Whyte.
It further delays a super-fight between Fury and Anthony Joshua, 30, but promoter Eddie Hearn insists Whyte takes priority.
Hearn told talkSPORT: “We knew it but it’s always nice to get confirmation from the WBC.
“Every time they confirm it in writing gives us more clout moving forward. It’s fantastic for Dillian Whyte.

    3

“He still has to get past Alexander Povetkin on August 22, but if he does that he will have to fight the winner of Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder very early next year.
“Of course, we want the winner of that to go on to fight Anthony Joshua in the summer of next year for the undisputed.
“Big news for Dillian Whyte and no escape for Tyson Fury or Deontay Wilder, as confirmed by the WBC.”
Whyte has been the WBC’s No1 ranked challenger since 2017, but only last year earned his spot as mandatory after beating Oscar Rivas.

UFC news: Mayweather and White ‘still working on’ comeback but McGregor rematch ruled out because ‘he’s retired’

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is still “working on” a comeback with UFC president Dana White – but a Conor Mcgregor rematch has been ruled out.
Mayweather last year announced he was “coming out of retirement in 2020” to work on a “spectacular event” with White.

    3

Floyd Mayweather is still ‘working on’ a comeback with UFC president Dana White
But he was this year hit with double tragedy after the death of former partner and mother to three of his kids Josie Harris, which came two weeks before his uncle and ex-trainer Roger passed.
Mayweather took time off his promotional duties, but throughout the coronavirus pandemic continued to train in his Las Vegas gym.
And according to White, the 43-year-old still plans to make a comeback.
He told TMZ Sports: “Floyd and I still have dialogue and go back and forth.

“We’re still interested on both sides. Very possible.”

SunSport revealed Mayweather was in talks to return to Japan, the scene where he made £7million after beating featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in 2018.
The American legend confirmed negotiations were in place for another exhibition bout in Tokyo, as he boasted at being able to bank £75m.
Mayweather last fought as a professional in 2017 after he beat former UFC champion McGregor in ten rounds, which White helped promote.

But the UFC boss ruled out a second fight between the pair, insisting The Notorious, 32, is still retired.
