Tyson Fury shows off Ring Magazine and WBC belts and reveals they are perfect pick-me-up for when he’s ‘feeling down’

TYSON FURY says his WBC heavyweight belt and Ring Magazine titles are the perfect pick-me-ups for when he is “feeling down”.
The Gypsy King, 31, has overcome depression, thoughts of killing himself and drug addiction to reach the top of the boxing world once again.

But in a candid moment with his 1.6million Twitter followers, he revealed the important part his belts play even now.
Fury shared a video showing off his achievements and said: “So every time I feel a little bit down I carry my belts with me.
“Two Ring Magazine belts – I’m the third person in history to do that – and there’s the WBC, just to remind myself how far I’ve come and who I am and what I’ve done.
“I take them in the ring with me, I sit them there and while I’m training I look down at them.”

Fury has previously said that after getting the fame he had craved by taking Wladimir Klitschko’s heavyweight crown in 2015, he felt empty and depressed.
The 6ft 9in boxing magician put on a huge amount of weight, started boozing and confessed to bingeing on cocaine.
At his lowest point he attempted to drive his Ferrari into a motorway bridge — only to stop at the last minute as he thought about his five children.
He was suspended from boxing for failing a drugs test and said he had a psychological breakdown.

Mike Tyson claims he bribed a cop with brand new Bentley following row with wife outside Burger King over condoms

MIKE TYSON has sensationally revealed that he once bribed a police officer with a Bentley after fearing arrest alongside ex-wife Robin Givens.
Iron Mike, already a world heavyweight champion by this point in 1988, fancied a Burger King so took Givens along to his local chain restaurant.

Things were going swimmingly… until actress Givens found condoms in Tyson’s pocket.
She then stormed out of the fast food joint, heading straight back to Tyson’s Bentley.
And to Iron Mike’s horror, he claims she rammed the car into the vehicle in front.
When a policeman then showed up, Tyson did what he felt he had to do.

Tyson, 54, told Complex News: “In one of the instances, it happened [was] because I was getting ready to get arrested. I offered [the car] to the cop; the cop took it.”
And speaking on what is alleged to be an affair he was having at the time, he added: “So at this particular time, I’m married; I’m married to Robin [Givens]. So, I was hanging out the night before. I’m a young kid; I’m 21.
“This is me just living my life as a champ. I don’t know nothin’; I’m really stupid, but I think I know everything.
“I’m one of those guys [where] I don’t care that I’m a champ, I’m gonna go get a burger at Burger King. So I’m in line to get a [hamburger].

“So I believe [Robin Givens] goes in my pocket, and she pulls out f***ing condoms. Aw, man! Aw, f***! Aw, man! Right outside the [restaurant we go]; we don’t buy s***!
“She gets in the car; the car we’re driving is a Bentley—brand new, that year. I guess, because she’s angry with me or she doesn’t like the car, so she rams the car into the car in front of us.
“The guy’s f***ed up. The cops come. The cops come and they’re asking me questions and stuff. I kind of panic.

    Mike Tyson

“I’m like a Bourgeoisie [person] in my head; I’m thinking that this shouldn’t be happening to me, all this s***. I just go up to [an officer], I said, ‘Listen, sir. Just take the car.’
“That was just me in my tantrum, ‘Take the f***ing car, alright?’”
And as the officer supposedly showed an interest, Tyson knew he was off the hook.
He continued: “When he said ‘don’t tell me that’, I knew I got him. He wants this car! I said, ‘Nah, you work hard; you put your life on the line. Take the f***in’ car!’
“Me and Robin got in a cab and we just took off and went to New York. I [still] got to hear the s*** though [about my condoms]. But that’s really what happened.”

Dillian Whyte’s mind bigger worry than his chin in Alexander Povetkin rematch after brutal KO loss, warns Eddie Hearn

DILLIAN WHYTE’S mind is a bigger concern than his chin heading into the must-win Alexander Povetkin rematch.
The 32-year-old Brixton ace was cruising to the latest victory of his career against the Russian on August 22 – after scoring two early knockdowns – before a hellish uppercut stunned the Brit in the fifth.

    5

    5

Whyte knows he must beat Povetkin if he wants to fight for a world title in 2021

The fearless fans’ favourite has launched himself into an instant November 21 rematch, in a bid to reclaim his WBC mandatory position.
And promoter Eddie Hearn is more concerned with his charge’s confidence than his punch resistance.
The Matchroom boss told SunSport: “There are two ways to look at it; Dillian controlled the fight and was moments from winning until a one-in-a-million punch stunned him and the chances of that happening again in the rematch are very small.
“Or you can say that Povetkin took two of Dillian’s best shots, got off the floor twice and stopped him with the only real punch he connected with.

“It wasn’t a 12-round war or a prolonged beating so physically Dillian should be fine but the rematch is more about the psychological side.
“Dillian demanded the rematch straight away, no hesitation, because he believes it was just a split second mistake that he can correct.
“But Povetkin also snapped up the rematch because he now thinks he has the beating of Dillian and can pop back over to double his money with another easy night’s work.
“A knockout like that you can physically recover from reasonably quickly. But mentally it can leave a mark on fighters and we will find out on November 21.”

    5

After a six-week break from boxing, Hearn returns this Sunday with a card headlined by light-heavyweight ace Joshua Buatsi.
The 27-year-old, like almost every fighter on the circuit, has had to take a paycut to kickstart his career again and Hearn admits this period has been his biggest challenge in the sport.
He said: “A fighter’s earnings are made up of around 40 per cent of their ticket sales, that is gone for now.
“Where do we find that huge chunk of money? You can’t just get more broadcasting or sponsors because those businesses – like everyone – have bigger priorities right now than sponsoring boxing shows, we have to be realistic.
“We pulled off our Fight Camp shows with great success, outdoor shows in the summer went down a storm. But now we have a very different challenge, probably our biggest one yet and we have to produce the goods again.”

Hearn also believes the coronavirus fall-out might play a part in Anthony Joshua dropping one of his world titles.
At the start of lockdown, Hearn announced he had agreed the financial terms on a two-fight deal between AJ and Tyson Fury.
But now mandatory challenges are mounting up and that potential undisputed decider feels like it is slipping away again.
Hearn said: “AJ has always had one mission and that is to have all four major belts, be undisputed champion, and he only needs the WBC title now to do that.

Conor McGregor slams ‘fat fool’ Daniel Cormier as UFC legend says his next fight would be in UFC and not Manny Pacquiao

CONOR McGREGOR called Daniel Cormier a ‘fat fool’ – as the UFC legend says he will fight in the UFC next and NOT Manny Pacquiao.
McGregor had leaked private messages with UFC president Dana White, where he can be seen demanding several fights.

But Cormier, 41, questioned why the Irishman did not fill in for Khabib Nurmagomedov, 32, who pulled out of fighting Tony Ferguson, 36, in May.
McGregor, 32, responded: “I asked for May you fat fool, what you saying?
“I fought in January and tried to go again but was purposely held back to be an alternate for a July fight.
“Wait 7 whole f***ing months and “maybe” I’d get to fight? Are you stupid? What are you saying mate? I asked for May vs ANYONE!”

It comes after McGregor announced he would be boxing Manny Pacquiao, 41, in the Middle East.
Cormier again risked the wrath of The Notorious – who lost his boxing debut against Floyd Mayweather in 2017 – after DC said he could not beat PacMan.
Cormier told ESPN: “I think that he’ll build a great fight with Manny.
“I think it will be interesting, I think it will be intriguing to see whether or not he can compete at that level.

“Do I think he can? No, I think it’s a dangerous fight for him because Manny is so powerful.
“(McGregor) and Floyd fought at a very leisurely pace early, I don’t think Pacquiao has that ability, he’s going to go out there and try and knock his head off.”
The former heavyweight champion also predicted McGregor would come to terms with the UFC, cancelling the bout against Pacquiao, and will next fight in the octagon.
Cormier continued: “I think he’ll fight mixed martial arts, I do.
“I believe they’ll get it worked out. He’s such a good mixed martial artist, he’s such a great fighter.

Eddie Hearn challenges Tyson Fury’s dad John to Ferrero Rocher challenge after 56-year-old ‘sets Guinness World Record’

EDDIE HEARN has agreed to take on John Fury in a Ferrero Rocher eating competition once Anthony Joshua’s scrap with Tyson is in the bag.
While his son is the current WBC champ, John earned a title of his own as the unofficial world record holder for devouring the posh chocolates.

John Fury ate ten Ferrero Rochers to set a new record

Fury senior polished off ten inside a minute to beat the previous record set in 2012.
The 56-year-old was chuffed to bits with his champion eating efforts, raising both his hands aloft in celebration before high-fiving his son and coach SugarHill Steward.
He said: “I said I was good at something.
“I’ve won the world title at something!”

But Matchroom promoter Hearn is determined to claim his title and joked: “If Fury – AJ gets made… because obviously, I need to break the ice with John Fury before he breaks my neck, I would like to challenge him to the Ferrero Rocher challenge.
“Because I’m a slob and I eat for England, I think I could beat his time, but I won’t do it until we make that fight, and if we make that fight, I will beat John Fury at the Ferrero Rocher challenge.
    “I just know I’m a gannet, I eat like a pig.
“Are you allowed to drink water like he did?

“Once that fight gets made and announced I’ll beat him, only at Ferrero Rocher eating, nothing else.”
Like all British boxing fans, Hearn is desperate to arrange a big-money scrap between WBA, WBO and IBF champ Joshua and Fury.
AJ will need to beat Bulgarian brute Kubrat Pulev in December before turning his attentions to the Gypsy King.
Both Joshua and Fury have agreed terms on a sensational two-fight deal to take place in 2021.

The pair – who have a storied past – would both be boxing for the first time.
Siju Roseje, Lewis-Parry’s manager, said: “Chi is quite rightly rising quickly up the ranks in terms of the opponents he’s facing because his undefeated record and convincing victories speak for themselves.
“It’s a very exciting prospect that a fight with Jon Jones in the company of Conor McGregor is on the table.
“We hope the British public will continue to get behind Lewis-Parry as he is fast approaching the big time.”

McGregor, 32, and Pacquiao, 41, both confirmed they are close to agreeing a deal to fight in the Middle East.
The lucrative super-fight is targeted for December or January.
SunSport understands Jones, 33, and Lewis-Parry, 37, would be the co-headliner, with talks still ongoing.
    Lewis-Parry, a 6ft 10in kickboxing veteran, is a former training partner of ex-UFC champion Daniel Cormier, 41.

The Brit powerhouse helped DC prepare to fight Jones in 2016, which fuelled a rivalry between them.
Lewis-Parry even confronted the light-heavyweight legend at a BodyPower health and fitness event in Birmingham last year.
Jones vacated the light-heavyweight belt in August to move up and challenge heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, 38.
But he had threatened to switch to boxing earlier in the year following a public fall out with the UFC.
Jones was forced to deny claims made by UFC president Dana White, who said the American wanted £25million to move up and face Francis Ngannou, 34.
At the time, he tweeted: “I’d probably make more in my first boxing match than my next three UFC fights combined.”

KSI, 27, bizarrely claims he could beat Mike Tyson, 54, in fight… and so could Logan Paul

YOUTUBE boxing star KSI has stunned fans with his bizarre claim that he could beat Mike Tyson in a fight.
The 27-year-old won via split decision on his professional boxing debut last year against fellow online star Logan Paul.

    3

    3

The YouTube star fancies his chances at beating Mike Tyson ahead of Iron Mike’s return to the ring

The Brit fought the American to a draw in their first meeting, while KSI also beat YouTuber Joe Weller in a 2018 amateur bout.
Iron Mike meanwhile is making a comeback in an exhibition against Roy Jones Jr on November 28 after 15 years of retirement.
The former heavyweight champion last stepped inside the ring in June 2005 – where he was stopped by Kevin McBride.
The “Baddest Man on the Planet” was crowned the youngest world champion ever, aged 20, and his illustrious 20-year career saw him knock out 44 of his 50 opponents.

I actually could though, I actually could. The reason why – age is on my side. Age is on my side. In the first few rounds I ain’t going [all out]
    KSI on Mike Tyson

But despite their vastly different careers and experience, KSI reckons he could hang with the now 54-year-old Tyson in the ring.
Speaking in the latest Sidemen video, he answered: “I actually could (beat him) though, I actually could.
“I’m undefeated, no-one has beaten me.”
KSI’s YouTuber pals reacted with uproar at his statement before asking the Londoner how his former rival Logan Paul would fare against Tyson.

KSI replied: “I think Logan would beat Mike Tyson.”
When pushed to justify his reasoning, he said: “The reason why – age is on my side. Age is on my side.
“In the first few rounds I ain’t going [all out].”
KSI later revealed that his coach – highly rated cruiserweight prospect Viddal Riley – texted to say he wouldn’t last against Tyson.
He joked: “Viddal said, ‘Nah, man.’
“He said, ‘You’d have to survive three rounds of three minutes, then possibly.’”
Fans on social media were less forgiving of KSI’s prospects, with one tweeting: “I hope he is joking about mike tyson cause that’s just ridiculous.”

Another said: “Mike Tyson 100 years old, on a walking stick dismantles KSI with one hand.”
A third added: “Sidemen’s recent video has KSI saying — with quite a lot of confidence — he can beat Mike Tyson in a bout. I think I’ve consumed too much internet for the day.”
A fourth reasoned: “Did Mike Tyson ever beat anyone on the level of a Prime Logan Paul? KSI would wipe him out now tbh.”

Despite the mismatch bout facing fierce criticism, heavyweight champion Fury, 32, backed the fight.
And he even called for Mayweather, 43, to fight him once he is done with 0-1 social media star Paul, 25.
Fury told iFL TV: “After he beats Logan Paul he’ll be in prime position to challenge me for the WBC Celebrity Boxing Belt.”
Paul lost his boxing debut against YouTube rival KSI, 27, by split-decision last November.

Mayweather last fought as a pro in 2017, beating UFC star Conor McGregor, 32, in ten rounds.
But he did return a year later, stopping featherweight kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in Tokyo inside a round.
Fury believes 50-0 Mayweather has earned the right to pick and choose whoever he wants to fight in pay-per-view spectacles.

He said: “It’s show business, if it’s going to bring fans to the boxing game then I’m for it, because both got a lot of following on social media me around the world so all good.

“Floyd Mayweather’s been doing this lately for the Conor McGregor fight and the Japanese guy, now he’s on about fighting Logan Paul.
“He’s done all the hard fights against the younger up and coming challengers, he’s fought all the Canelo’s, he’s fought all the [Diego] Corrales and them people, [Jose] Castillo and the [Ricky] Hatton’s, he’s done it all.

Fury continued: “Do you not think he’s earned the right to the local bin man if he wants, he’s had how many world title fights, against the best fighters out there, one after the other.
