MANCHESTER UNITED United transfer target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has had £89,000 in jewellery and cash stolen from his home during Lazio’s clash with Juventus.

The 24-year-old midfielder scored during Simone’s Inzaghi’s sides 3-1 comeback win over the Serie A champions when the incident occurred.

Local media report Milinkovic-Savic contacted local authorities shortly after arriving back at his house in Rome upon seeing that it had been rummaged through and several valuables were missing.

According to a police report, £84, 245 worth of jewellery was nicked, including several Rolex watches. There was also a reported £4,212 in cash stolen.

Local police have allegedly determined that there were three burglars from CCTV footage captured in Milinkovic-Savic’s house.

Italian media claim the thieves are also suspected of being involved in several robberies that have occurred in houses around the capital in the last few months.

Police are conducting an investigation to find the assailants but no arrests have been reported as yet.

Lazio cemented their position as third in Serie A with their 3-1 win over Juventus to take them within three points of the Old Lady.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored Juve’s only goal as strikes from Milinkovic-Savic and ex-Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo handed Maurizio Sarri’s men their first league loss of the season.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to fork out £70million on Serbian Milinkovic-Savic, having sent scouts to watch the midfielder this season.

Manchester United were heavily linked for the 24-year-old in the summerbut failed to get a deal over the line.
