And Aubameyang says the only thing the Arsenal legend has done is lift the gloom from the Unai Emery regime.
In a message to the Gunners fans in the matchday programme, the striker said: “He’s been very clear on what he wants us to change and improve.
“His message is clear – a happy player is a player who has fun on the pitch. He wants us to enjoy our football again.
“He wants us to play great football, to enjoy ourselves so you can enjoy yourselves watching us and supporting us.

“He has a lot of energy and we can feel it. Even if he has not been the manager for long, we have a lot of respect for him.”
Ljungberg stepped in to take temporary charge following Emery’s sacking last Friday.
His first game in charge ended in a 2-2 draw at Norwich as the Gunners made it eight games without a win.
But as the Swede looks to lead his troops to victory in the Premier League for two months, newly-appointed captain Aubameyang ensured he gave his former boss a special mention.
He added: “I also would like to say thank you to Unai Emery for the work he did during the 18 months he was in charge.
“A lot of players improved under him. I finished the season as the Premier League top scorer and it’s thanks to him as well.”
