LEWIS HAMILTON has revealed that Mercedes are expecting some upgrades on both cars after a dramatic ending to the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The seven-time world champion jumped two places to finish third in the race behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

The Mercedes driver finished the Bahrain GP in third Credit: AFP Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez were both forced to retire late due to power failures, which awarded Mercedes a good sum of points.
After the race Hamilton appeared to be delighted with the result.
When speaking to Sky Sports, he said: “This is really the best result we could’ve got, of course it was unfortunate for the other drivers but we did the best we could and got the points.”
He also hinted that he is expecting some upgrades for the car, adding: “I’m hoping. I know the guys are working hard at the factory.

Red Bull and Ferrari have both been the quickest on track so far, but any upgrades from Mercedes could dramatically turn the tables.
