Alberto Moreno screams ‘Man Utd get out, You’ll Never Walk Alone’ as ex-Liverpool man mocks rivals after Europa League


FORMER Liverpool player Alberto Moreno filmed himself mocking Manchester United after Villarreal’s triumph in the Europa League Final.

Moreno came on as a substitute after 88 minutes when he replaced Tottenham loanee Juan Foyth and went on to score from the spot during the penalty shootout.

The Yellow Submarine won their first ever major European title during one of the most dramatic shootouts of all time when Geronimo Rulli saved United goalkeeper David de Gea’s shot.

Players and fans passionately celebrated this historic triumph, which marked former Arsenal manager Unai Emery’s fourth Europa League title.

Villarreal players were filmed dancing, singing, drinking and holding the esteemed trophy in the dressing room.

Moreno shared a video on his personal Instagram account showing him cherishing this incredible moment.

But the 28-year-old also decided to poke some fun on runners-up United and praise their rivals, as well as his former club, Liverpool.

Moreno said: “For all the fans of Liverpool, vamos [let’s go]!

“Man United? Get out! Get out, Man United. Get out!

“You’ll never walk alone. Siempre [forever] Liverpool, my heart.”

That led to various different reactions on social media as Liverpool fans applauded the left-back.

One supporter tweeted: “Best Liverpool left back ever.”

Another wrote: “This guy just made me love him more.”

And a third posted: “Once a red, always a red.”

But some United fans didn’t take too kindly to Moreno’s words as they also took to Twitter.

One fan posted: “‘Liverpool in my heart’, Same club that got rid of you cause your [sic] s***e.”

“I pray they pair us together in the same group for UCL , let teach them some lesson.”

“[Wayne] Rooney is bigger than Liverpool lol.”

Villarreal opened the scoring on 29 minutes thanks to a goal by Gerard Moreno and United equalised in the second half after 55 minutes with Edinson Cavani.

The Red Devils then lost the penalty shootout, which ended with a score of 11-10.
