Barcelona striker Luis Suarez ordered to train alone by Ronald Koeman despite risk of upsetting best mate Lionel Messi

BARCELONA have told Luis Suarez to train alone with a physio ahead of a rumoured move to Juventus.

ESPN reports new boss Ronald Koeman made the call despite the risk of upsetting Suarez’s best mate and club skipper Lionel Messi.

Messi made a sensational U-turn and announced he would STAY at Barcelona on Friday, despite previously making official his desire to leave the Catalan giants.

The 33-year-old icon was seeking a new challenge but had a rethink after Barca stood firm and a costly legal battle over his release clause loomed.

Uruguayan Suarez, 33, got the chop from Koeman with the former Holland boss suggesting he was not part of his Nou Camp overhaul.

The former Liverpool man was reportedly ‘very upset’ after a brutal one-minute phone call virtually ended his Blaugrana career.

European rivals Juventus are hoping to poach Suarez on a free transfer.

The Old Lady are reportedly aiming to seal a bargain transfer by only paying Barca performance-related bonuses for Suarez’s signature.

Messi and Suarez are close pals and the rash treatment of his colleague is not believed to have sat well with the six-time Ballon d’Or winner.

Suarez was spotted visiting Messi’s home with his family on Friday in what could have been an emotional farewell.

Even though Messi has pledged at least one more season to Barca, he is still set to miss training.

The Argentine superstar will continue to skip sessions as he has not yet been tested for Covid-19.

He is expected to finally link up with Koeman and the rest of the squad on Monday, providing his results are negative.
