CRISTIANO RONALDO cut a frustrated figure as he was subbed off during Manchester United’s 0-0 draw with Newcastle.
The Red Devils icon, 37, started Sunday’s Premier League stalemate at Old Trafford.
But Ronaldo barely had a sniff throughout the tight encounter – bar a 48th minute strike correctly ruled out for offside.
And Erik ten Hag decided enough was enough when he replaced the striker with Marcus Rashford in the 70th minute.
United fans saluted their iconic forward when his famous No7 flashed up on the board.
However, Ronnie was less than enthused when he realised he was being summoned.

The hitman first lent forward in an exaggerated fashion as Rashford waited patiently on the touchline.
Ronaldo then started shaking his head as he made his way off the field.
And the five-time Ballon d’Or winner could also be seen muttering under his breath before giving Rashford a half-hearted high-five.
It was just Ronaldo’s second start in the Premier League this season.

And his clear disgruntlement could raise further questions over his long-term future under Ten Hag.
However, replacement Rashford fared little better as United failed to find a way past Newcastle.
Brazilian midfielder Fred was gifted a golden opportunity to win it late on.
But despite having just one defender on the line to beat, he managed to send his effort wide.
Newcastle will also feel they could have grabbed all three points after ace Joelinton hit the post TWICE.

The result leaves United in fifth place on 16 points.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are just one point and one place behind, having played one game more.
