LOVE ISLAND new boy Aaron Simpson played for League of Ireland football club Waterford back in 2019.
The 24 year old footballer has become the latest guy to enter the villa on the hit reality TV show.
Simpson is currently without a club but signed for Wolves in 2015 where he went out on loan with clubs such as Portsmouth, AFC Telford and Kilmarnock.
In 2019 he made the move across the water, joining the Blues from Wolves on a permanent deal until the end of the season under manager Alan Reynolds.
He made eight appearances for the club before moving to Dover Athletic later that year.
Upon making the move to the RSC he said: “I’ve been training for the last two weeks so it’s great to get signed up now. I’ve enjoyed the training so far and I’m looking forward to playing some games now.

“I’ve settled in really quickly and that’s made it all easier for me, and Alan Reynolds and the coaches have been great to me since I’ve come in.
“I haven’t played much recently but I’ve been training really hard, first with Joe Gamble and I feel fit and everybody just wants to play games.
“I was a bit sceptical coming over, of course, I’d never even been in Ireland, but once I got here and saw the professionalism of how things are run, the lads and the staff were great and I got a good vibe from it here and that’s why I wanted to stay.
“Coming to Ireland, I wasn’t really too sure about what the standard would be and that but we’ve got great players here, a really good mixture with some really experienced guys and a lot of good young players too and I can’t wait to learn from the likes of Damien Delaney and I think we can do really well this season.”

Simpson made his debut on the TV show on Monday night and says he’s happy to tell the boys he’s ready to ‘steal their girl’.
He said: “I’m going to bring fun, good energy and positive vibes. I think a couple of the girls’ heads will be turning when I go in there.
“I feel like with my personality I won’t [graft] behind your back. I’ll openly tell you I’m about to steal your girl. That doesn’t really phase me at all. As long as I’m not doing anything snakey or behind your back, I don’t really see the problem.”
However Simpson drew criticism from Love Island fans after he told Chloe she was ‘past her prime’ after being set up on a date with her.

Another added: “Aaron said Chloe is past her prime and she still wants to get to know him???”
