It is not yet known when Jota will return to action for Liverpool, but in mid-December it was predicted he would miss between six and eight weeks.
The Portuguese attacker was in sensational form prior to his injury.
Jota netted nine goals in 17 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side before being forced to watch his team struggle from the sidelines.
Liverpool face Manchester City on Sunday in a bid to close the gap at the top of the Premier League to four points.
