MANCHESTER UNITED star Bruno Fernandes joined in with the “Stay At Home Challenge” by showing off his skills – with a toilet roll… and he’s by no means the only star to do so.
As the coronavirus pandemic rages on worldwide, many people have chosen to stay indoors and upload clips showing off their talents.
Bruno Fernandes led the way as a host of Premier League stars – past and present – showed off their skills with a toilet roll
Manchester United are reportedly testing their players twice a day for coronavirus
Fernandes, who won United’s Player of the Month in his first four weeks with the club, decided to join in.
The 25-year-old uploaded a clip on social media showing him playing keepy-uppy with a toilet roll – an item that is becoming synonomous with the coronavirus outbreak.
Many shops around the UK have sold out of the daily essential as people opt to stockpile.
Fernandes is NOT in isolation however – his club United have said they players will continue to train and be tested for the virus twice a day.
With the spread of the disease continuing, the Premier League and EFL were left with no choice but to suspend matches until at least April 3.
And many people have posted their football skills on to social media with the hashtag “StayAtHomeChallenge” to pass the time.
Now, Jamie Carragher, Odion Ighalo, Granit Xhaka and Theo Walcott have all had a crack themselves, too.
Walcott shared a video of himself washing his hands before attempting some keepy-uppies with a teddy bear – before challenging Lewis Hamilton, Aaron Ramsey and team-mate Andre Gomes to follow suit.
Another January signing for Man Utd, Ighalo, kept it short and sweet, channeling his inner-Peter Kay with his very own “AV IT” moment with a toilet roll.
Liverpool legend Carragher proved why he was an old school centre-back during his career, as he failed to keep the loo roll under control.
The Sky Sports pundit finally got on a good run, as he flailed around desperately keeping the roll up in the air.
Sergio Ramos and Hector Bellerin are just two other superstars to have had a crack at the latest viral trend.
Other talents such as dance moves, drinking challenges and home workouts have also been shared during the coronavirus lockdown.
Liverpool star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is another footballer who has used social media to show off a skill.
But this was not with a ball – a video of him dancing up a flight of steps with girlfriend Perrie Edwards impressed many after the Little Mix star shared on TikTok.
