The star said it came from a clash of heads in sparring in his new YouTube video today…Credit: YouTube – @ksi
Ahead of that clash, he appeared on the latest episode of his Sidemen show to promote the bout.
However, the man with 16.2 million followers on social media already looked like he had received a hefty beating as he sported a swollen eye and bust lip.
Laughing at the start of the video, KSI said: “Yo, what’s up? It’s your boy KSI… mind the eye.
“I got it during sparring. Just a clash of heads.”

But that does not seem to be deterring the fighter as he insisted his training for the bout could not be better.
KSI, real name Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, said: “Training camp is going well.
“Obviously I took a little break. I felt like it was good for me.
“I felt like I was really able to step back and reflect on my whole life, my whole situation because I feel like I’ve just been going at a hundred miles an hour in general especially this year.”

He added: “So much has happened I still haven’t taken in that I knocked out Temperrr in the first round, like, I wasn’t able to take that whole moment, you know, me fighting at Wembley Arena and everyone going crazy and everything.
“Everything has just moved and I’ve just done so many things after that, that I haven’t been able to just settle and take it all in.”
Earlier this month KSI and Fournier, 40, clashed on stage at a heated press conference ahead of their bout at the Misfits Boxing event in London.
Fournier double-handed shoved KSI – real name in the chest.
KSI refrained from reacting to the push, remaining calm and opting instead to continue to stare down the British businessman.
Prior to landing the first physical blow of their rivalry, a fired-up Fournier roared: “At the end of the day I am coming to take the guy’s whole legacy.
“I’m here to be the new face of Misfits. I want to have a scrap with the guy.
“The guy made his career playing FIFA. He beats me at FIFA but this isn’t FIFA.
“This is us standing there 18lb, 10oz gloves and he talks about explosive and power but it is all relative.
“David Haye didn’t knock me out so I would like to trade with him and I want it to be a fight that goes down in history.

“I want him to be the best he can be I don’t want me to walk all over him in 40 seconds, like I think is going to happen.”
KSI responded with his own jibes, but it was his apology for using a racial slur in a recently-aired YouTube video which dominated the presser. More

Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz tale of the tape: How YouTube star and UFC icon compare ahead of huge boxing fight

JAKE PAUL returns to settle a score with Nate Diaz in his next fight. The YouTube star is coming off the first defeat in his seven-bout prizefighting career, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury in February.

But Paul decided against invoking his rematch clause to instead welcome Diaz to the boxing ring on August 5 in Texas.
The bad blood has been brewing and will come to a head in Dallas, as SunSport runs down how the rivals compare.
Diaz, 37, spent 15 years in the UFC, becoming a beloved cult hero alongside his brother Nick, 39.
He shot to fame following his March 2016 upset over Conor McGregor but went on to lose the thrilling rematch five months later.
    READ MORE IN BOXING
A trilogy with McGregor, 34, has failed to materialise and Diaz walked out on the UFC last year when his contract expired.
He crosses over to boxing with a storied 35 MMA bouts, winning 22 and losing 13, with 18 combined stoppages in the cage.
Diaz is a jujitsu specialist with a boxing base, having sparred American legend Andre Ward during his prime.
Paul, 26, meanwhile is still a relative novice, having only made his professional debut in 2020 following one exhibition win.

But during that three-year period, he racked up six wins, four by knockout, while facing three ex-MMA champions.
Paul KO’d Ben Askren, 38, in April 2021, before twice beating former UFC welterweight champ Tyron Woodley, 40, that year.
He outpointed Woodley and won the rematch by KO while a year later bettering UFC icon Anderson Silva, 47, over eight rounds.
But when stepping up against a recognised boxer for the first time in Fury, 23, Paul was beaten on points in Saudi Arabia.
He had the option for a rematch or a bitter grudge match against online rival KSI, 29, but Diaz was instead selected.
Diaz was at Paul’s October 2022 win over Silva and their opposing teams clashed backstage.
A war of words had ensued both before and after the incident, leading to an expected score-settling showdown.

Paul is one inch taller than Diaz at 6ft 1in, and will take a natural size advanatage into the fight.
He weighed a career-lowest (13st 1lb) before losing to Fury, having largely boxed at 190lb.
Meanwhile, Diaz fought most of his UFC career in the 155lb lightweight division (11st).
But he finished his career at 170lb (12st 1lb) as a welterweight, including his finale win against Tony Ferguson, 39.
Paul will meet Diaz at a 185lb catchweight, over eight rounds.
He has gone that distance three times before, against Woodley, Silva and Fury, losing just the once.
Diaz, known for his conditioning, only went the full five-round UFC distance three times during his career.

And with only five KOs to his name, Paul will be the bigger puncher of the two.
Diaz is by far the more experienced fighter, but Paul’s prior wins over MMA stars show it can matter little when the cage is swapped for the ring.

KSI’s promoter ‘confident’ in sealing Tommy Fury fight deal after meeting with Love Island star’s dad John in Morecambe

KSI and Paul were in line to settle their bitter score at the end of the year but the American’s loss looks to have given those plans to KO.
So now KSI’s attention has turned to Fury, should he get past Joe Fournier in his May 13 return fight.
Promoter Kalle Sauerland told Pro Boxing Fans: “Had a great meeting with (Fury’s dad) John, we both like the fight.
“It’s about getting a deal done now. Look, John seems to be like a very simple person to deal with which I like, straight shooter.

“We had a good meeting, it was nice to go up to Morecambe and yeah, I’m confident we can get it done.
“But we’re not overlooking obviously Joe Fournier first.”
Paul, 26, looked set to exercise his rematch clause with Fury, 23, following his loss in Saudi Arabia.
But the YouTuber has since been linked with instead returning against ex-UFC star Nate Diaz.

And Fury himself teased fighting a “bigger” name than Paul, fuelling speculation of facing KSI.
But first the British prankster-turned prizefighter must beat nightclub tycoon and 9-0 boxer Fournier, 40.
Sauerland added: “Let’s get a deal done first. I’m sure they’ve got a few other options on the table as well.
“I hope we can get it done but at the same time we’ve got to focus on the Fournier fight.
“It’s not unsimilar to the situation Jake Paul was in and we don’t want to make the same mistakes and we won’t.”

To recover from their double training session, Hall welcomed Fury to his home spa, including a sauna and ice bath.
Their day ended with a sit-down dinner, where the calories continued to rise.
Hall ordered Fury a ginger beer with TWO starters, calamari and beef meatballs.
And his main consisted of two steaks with peppercorn sauce, a side of fries and seasonal veg.

KSI spotted at Sikh temple after visiting mosque amid fallout from using vile racial slur in YouTube video

YOUTUBE star KSI has been spotted at a Sikh temple after being blasted for using a “disgusting” racial slur. The influencer and boxer has been slammed in recent days for saying the word “p***” in a video posted online.

KSI, whose real name is Olajide William Olatunji, quickly backtracked and apologised.
The influencer said there was “no excuse” for using the term – which he said deeply hurt South Asian communities.
In the days after he caused the uproar, the 29-year-old visited a mosque and spoke to the imam.
And now a video has been posted to Twitter of him at a Sikh temple in Kent.

In the clip the Youtuber-turn boxer, who has 12.7 million Instagram followers, can be seen chatting and laughing away at Siri Guru Nanak Darbar Gudwara.
KSI was forced to make a public apology after he said the racial slur in a now-deleted video.
The influencer was taking part in a ‘Countdown challenge’ stunt with a group of influencers called The Sidemen.
Much like the hit daytime English and maths quiz show, the group had to try to come up with a nine-letter word using the characters on the screen.

It was then that KSI said his team “need points” and spat out the term.
Fellow hosts Chunkz and Filly fell about laughing at KSI’s answer, while he jokingly said “sorry”.
But, the moment sparked fury online.
BBC presenter Bobby Friction posted: “I had this racial slur thrown at me and got physical beats by racists for my entire childhood.
“Genuinely upset that KSI (a guy my children love) did this and thought it was funny.
“The rest of them laughing can go f*** themselves too. People dehumanising brown people like it’s normal.”
Meanwhile, teacher and broadcaster Mehreen Baig added the comments and reaction was “horrifically disappointing from KSI and his crew”.
Renowned health presenter Dr Ranj Singh blasted the internet sensation saying: “I’m not just upset, I’m disgusted.”
KSI – whose YouTube videos have clocked up over 11 billion views – issued a grovelling apology on Twitter just hours after Sunday’s incident.
He wrote: “I wanna apologise for saying a racial slur in a recent Sidemen video.
“There’s no excuse, no matter the circumstances, I shouldn’t have said it and I’m sorry.
“I’ve always said to my audience that they shouldn’t worship me or put me on a pedestal because I’m human.
“I’m not perfect, I’m gonna mess up in life, and lately I’ve been messing up a lot.”

KSI wrapped up the statement by saying he was also going to take a break from social media.
He then repeated his apology ahead of his fight with Joe Fournier on Wednesday.
The rapper said: “I want to take this opportunity to offer my deepest and most sincere apologies for my words and actions.
“In a recent video I used a racial term that is offensive to so, so many especially in the South Asian community.
“There are no excuses for what I said and I recognise that I’ve caused a lot of hurt and disappointment to so many people that look up to me, and my ignorance has only reinforced the negative stereotypes that have existed for way too long in this country.
“I want to express my heartfelt regret for what I said and I want you to know I am genuinely ashamed and deeply sorry for any pain or suffering I have caused.
“I realise my words have consequences and as a public figure I have a responsibility to use my platform for good rather than perpetuating discrimination and this week I have failed to do this.”
The Sidemen also took to social media and said the clip “was completely unacceptable and inexcusable”.
