Fans fear ‘not one person comes off well out of this’ as Tommy Fury holds talks with boxing legend, 54, over next fight

BOXING fans fear Tommy Fury’s next fight could be a lose-lose all round after entering talks with a 54-year-old legend. The ex-Love Islander beat YouTube stars Jake Paul, 26, and KSI, 30, in 2023 to become king of the crossover scene.

And two weeks after his controversial win over KSI, the 24-year-old took a trip to Saudi Arabia in support of his brother Tyson.
Days before Tyson, 35, also contentiously beat ex-UFC champion Francis Ngannou, 37, Tommy struck a deal to face American great Roy Jones Jr.
And now, Jones has confirmed that negotiations between the two are underway as he looks to secure a big payday in Saudi.
He told Casino Alpha: “Saudi Arabia at the moment will probably pay what I’m looking for to make an exhibition happen.

“Dealing with the Saudis I’ll say that I’m 75 per cent sure this exhibition happens against Tommy Fury.”
Jones – who is 55 in January – is considered one of the best of all time, reigning over FOUR divisions including heavyweight.
But he boxed well into his 50s and in 2020 welcomed back Mike Tyson for an exhibition.
Jones again made a return this April against MMA veteran Anthony Pettis, losing on points – leaving fans fearing the worst amid talks with Tommy.

One said: “Not one person comes off well out of this.”
Another added: “Someone should go to prison if that fight is made.”
One claimed: “Roy my favorite fighter of All Time.. Please stop fighting.”
Jones has also opened the door to fighting Tommy on away soil should the price be right.
He said: “If the money is not right in Saudi Arabia then maybe me and Tommy could do an exhibition in the UK, that would be the first time that I ever had the chance to perform in the UK.
“Would I really say no to that? I believe people in the UK would support that fight.
“I’ve got a lot of fans in the UK and I think they’ll have enough fan exposure to get some interest in staging that.”

KSI announces huge live stream of sparring session at worst possible time for rival Jake Paul

KSI has announced his sparring session with YouTuber IShowSpeed at the worst possible time for his boxing rival Jake Paul. The pair will live stream a match for charity at the exact time as the Jake Paul vs Andre August bout on December 15th.

Speed, 18, real name Darren Jason Watkins Jr called out KSI at the end of November to take on the streamer in the ring.
The two will now battle it out in an event to raise money for the Anthony Walker Foundation.
KSI shared the news on his Twitter account on Tuesday with the caption “December 15th 😈.”
But the pair have decided to go head-to-head at 4am UK time when Paul and August are expected to make their ring walk.

Paul, 26, returns against August, 35, having beaten ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, two months ago.
But KSI’s sparring session could cause an issue for The Problem Child as he may struggle for views as two of the biggest names on YouTube take each other on.
And the Brit’s fans agree as they shared under his post that they will be tuning in to his fight over Paul’s later this month.
One fan said: “I speak for all of us when I say we WONT be watching the Jake Paul fight🤝.”

And a second agreed: “The only fight we’ll be watching💯.”
Another added: “WE WILL BE THERE.”
The timing of KSI’s live stream was surely no coincidence as he and Paul have a long and bitter feud.
In 2018 KSI challenged Jake and his brother to an amateur bout.
However, he only faced Logan in the ring, who he beat and now co-promotes the Prime energy drink with.
KSI and Jake were due to fight in August but the American pulled out and chose to fight Nate Diaz instead.
Then in October after KSI’s defeat against Tommy Fury, the American called him a “sore loser” after demanding an appeal.
Earlier this year Jake lost via a split decision against Fury in Saudi Arabia. More

And she said: “It’s a tough one. Looking here, I think Andre’s got it.”
Paul, 26, suffered defeat for the first time this year, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24, in Saudi Arabia.
He bounced back in August by beating ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, which is believed to have sold close to 450,000 buys.

But for his return, Paul wanted to responds to criticism of his opposition and chose to face unknown August, 35.
The bout will be held in a 4,400 capacity casino and will also be aired on regular DAZN and not PPV – a first for Paul since his 2020 debut.
He has even claimed the fight could see him break only even as he prioritised the quality of opponent opposed to their name value.
Paul told TMZ Sports: “One hundred per cent I’m foregoing a lot of money.

Fans fear Jake Paul has ‘lost his selling power’ after seeing tiny venue for Andre August fight

JAKE PAUL has been accused of losing his “selling power” with his next fight to be held in a 4,000 capacity casino. The YouTuber-turned boxer has proven to be one of the biggest selling pay-per-view draws throughout his polarising prizefighting career.

And that has also included headlining sold-out arenas around America.
But for his next bout, he will face little-known 10-1-1 boxer Andre August at the Caribe Royale Orlando casino.
It holds only 4,400 and the fight will also be aired on regular DAZN and not PPV – which will be a first for Paul since his 2020 debut.
So fans questioned whether the American has lost his star power as one said: “Only 4.4k people? He’s finished.”

Another added: “Turns out, Jake Paul’s next fight isn’t even a PPV, and is included in the dazn subscription.
“For future events, do you think he has PPV selling power?”
Paul, 26, suffered defeat for the first time this year, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24, in Saudi Arabia.
The grudge match drew over 800,000 PPVs and the social media sensation claimed it banked him $30million.

Jake Paul sensationally backed to BEAT Nate Diaz in MMA fight by ex-UFC star amid £10m rematch offer

JAKE PAUL has been backed to sensationally BEAT Nate Diaz in MMA by ex-UFC star Matt Brown. The YouTuber-turned boxer this year signed for the Professional Fighters League, a competing promotion to the UFC.

Paul, 26, is coming off the back of a ten-round points win over ex-UFC star Diaz, 38, in August.
And both the American and the PFL have proposed a rematch in the cage and offered up to £10million.
But Diaz has seemed uninterested and Brown insisted he has reason to.
He told MMAFighting: “Jake Paul, I’m going to pick him to win. I’m going to pick him to beat Nate Diaz in MMA.

“We already know he can outbox him. When was the last time you saw Nate Diaz take someone down?
“But I don’t think he’ll be able to take him down, even if he tries to [take him down].
“He’s way, way undersized. Jake Paul is so much bigger than him. I don’t know what weight it will be at, probably 185.
“Nate’s not a great wrestler, it’s going to end up staying on the feet. What difference would it be [from their boxing match] if it stays on the feet?”

Ex-high school wrestler Paul has called to fight Diaz in his MMA debut and Brown believes the styles clash favours the American well.
He said: “First, Nate rarely throws elbows. Really doesn’t throw kicks a whole lot. He’s primarily an MMA boxer.
“His MMA style is he pressures you, he outboxes you and pressures you until you take him down or grab hold of him, which, that’s what he wants. Now he can do his jiu-jitsu game. It’s just a bad matchup.
“I wouldn’t pick very many people to be able to do that, but I don’t think Nate will be able to take [Paul] down and we already know what’s going to happen on the feet.
“Jake will train for kicks and elbows and knees and all that stuff and they might have a little effect.
“But I don’t see Nate finishing him with a kick or even really chopping him down or elbowing him. It’s just not his style.”

Dana White blasts KSI’s ‘LYING’ team over Misfits PPV buys in X-rated rant on ‘horrible’ shows

DANA WHITE has blasted Misfits Boxing’s claim that their PRIME card did over a million pay-per-view buys. The influencer boxing promotion – which was founded by internet sensation KSI – put on a stacked card for its Manchester card in October.

KSI topped the bill against Tommy Fury, while Logan Paul faced Dillon Danis in a co-main event grudge match.
It was claimed that a whopping 1.4 million people parted with their hard-earned cash to watch the social media stars do battle, a number veteran promoter White doesn’t buy for a second.
The UFC Chief Executive told the Nelk Boys: “I haven’t heard about anybody selling a lot of pay-per-views lately.
“Let me tell you how hard it is to sell 1.3 million pay-per-view buys.

“And if you did sell 1.3 million – if you sold 700,000 pay-per-view buys – they’d put putting on fights f***ing 10 times a year.
“When you hear those kinds of numbers fly around the pay-per-view world, they’re lying motherf*****s. Don’t ever believe that s**t.”
Despite the glaringly obvious lack of skill and technique, the influencer boxing scene has caught on like wildfire among Gen Zers.
And White, like many others, can’t understand for the life of him why.

He said: “Anybody who’s been on any of these f***ing horrible boxing shows.
“And I like Logan [Paul] and some of these guys that are involved in this s**t, if you come out and you say you did 1.3 million pay-per-view buys on your event, you’re lying through your f***ing teeth.
    “Lying through your teeth.”
The MMA mogul added: “The amount of money you’d f***ing make, they’d be doing pay-per-views all the f***ing time.
“Let me tell you what, every pay-per-view distributor out there would want them, and Showtime wouldn’t have went out of business.”
It didn’t take long for White’s comments to come to the attention of KSI’s manager and Misfits co-president Mams Taylor.
And he didn’t hold back in his response to the UFC supremo, writing on X: “I know all the REAL numbers for every event.

Internet sensation KSI fumed with the result of the contest, so much so that he launched an appeal to the Professional Boxing Association.
But the PBA have insisted there are NO grounds to overturn the result of the Misifts melee.
A statement read: “The PBA confirms that an independent review panel, consisting of two of the country’s leading King’s Counsel and a third lawyer, has determined that there are no grounds to overturn the @KSI vs. @tommytntfury fight result from October 14, 2023.”
Team KSI are far from happy with the result of their appeal and have vowed to fight tooth and nail to get the verdict overturned.

The social media star’s manager Mams Taylor said: “We will now move to the second of three possible stages of the appeal.
“As we continue to fight to have the decision of the bout rightly overturned.”
Neither KSI – real name Olijade Olatunji – nor Fury – the brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson have publicly reacted to the news of the result being upheld.
Scores of influencer boxing fans, however, reacted on X (formerly Twitter).

One remarked: “Honestly embarrassing from KSI to continue with this.
“You can’t bounce around the whole fight and think you deserve a W.
“Let it go and fight Jake [Paul].
Another chimed in: “He lost get over it You own the Promotion company that runs the fight.
“The previous fight he hit the guy with his elbow which should have been a disqualification but was deemed a KO win. He is an idiot.”

He said: “Obviously [Tommy Fury’s] a pro boxer.
