MMA fans in stitches as Jake Paul puts on gloves to watch fights before calling out Nate Diaz to rematch

JAKE PAUL had fans in stitches after putting on a pair of MMA gloves while watching and commentating on fights. The YouTuber-turned boxer featured in the live broadcast of the Professional Fighters League final.
Jake Paul commentating on Larissa Pacheco’s win over Marina Mokhnatkina
And he was being interviewed while reigning PFL champion Larissa Pacheco beat Marina Mokhnatkina for the featherweight title.
But out of nowhere Paul – talking from his £13million Puerto Rico mansion – whacked on a pair of gloves to commentate on the bout.
It left fans hilariously confused as one said: “Why the f*** is Jake Paul wearing his gloves on stream.”
Another added: “Jake Paul putting on his PFL gloves whilst watching the fight has big shadow boxing in front of the mirror during the ad breaks energy.”

One said: “As much as I don’t like Jake Paul he is really smart for putting on the pfl gloves during his interview.”
Paul this year signed with the PFL, a rival promotion to the UFC.
The promotion consists of qualification and knockout stages.
Stars have two regular season bouts where points are earned per method of victory with the top four in each division progressing.

From there it is win-or-go-home, culminating in a series of finale fights where a title belt and $1million prize cheque is on the line.
But the PFL are next year launching a “super-fight” series – away from the season – which will play host to Paul’s MMA debut.
The American is coming off an August win over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, and he offered to rematch in MMA.
But Paul, 26, claims Diaz, 38, has turned down a £10million offer to fight in the cage and took another swipe at his rival.
He said: “He didn’t want all that smoke. He’s making excuses.”

The bout will air live on DAZN but poor ticket sales means Paul risks making a loss on the fight.
However, he is not concerned as he is keen to take on August to build his experience as a wannabe professional.
Up until now Paul, 26, has fought mostly retired MMA stars or fellow YouTubers, suggesting he has always had a big day.
But he now appears to be satisfied financially, so is willing to forego money in return for fighting an actual pro boxer.
    READ MORE ON JAKE PAUL
He told TMZ Sports: “100 per cent I’m foregoing a lot of money. This is probably a break even fight for me I probably won’t even make money on it.
“It’s not about the money it’s really about staying sharp and the experience of challenging myself in the ring with these guys – he’s a beast.”
Paul claims he has “lost count” of how much he is worth, with Forbes estimating he has a fortune of £31.4million.
He claimed to have made close to £24m for his fight with Tommy Fury earlier this year – which was the first time he tasted defeat in the ring.

Jake Paul is set to make his MMA debut with the PFL
And Brunson also left the UFC after over a decade of service to sign with the PFL, which operates in a win-or-go-home seasonal format.
When Paul announced his boxing return for December 15 Brunson was an early bookies’ favourite to be the opponent.
Instead, little-known 10-1-1 pro boxer Andre August, 35, was confirmed as the YouTuber-turned boxer’s shock next fight.
But Brunson is leaving the door open to settling the score with Paul now the pair are both under the PFL banner.
    READ MORE IN MMA
He told SunSport: “Jake Paul is now with the PFL, we’ve got a bit of history.
“He asked Dana to fight me a couple years ago, so that’s a possibility. People saw me going over to the PFL and thought the timetable was there and it was perfect.
“Like I say, in the past me and Jake had discussions for a boxing match but I was under contract with the UFC. But things may align now.”
Paul, 26, was beaten for the first time in February, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24, in Saudi Arabia.

But he bounced back in August with a ten-round points win over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38.
Paul proposed a double header with the return bout in MMA and offered Diaz over £10million to do so.
And despite the deal being rejected, Brunson, 39, is ready for a similar two-bout deal.
He said: “Yeah, I’d be open to that. I love challenging myself, so definitely I’d be up for that.”
Brunson makes his PFL debut on Friday in Washington DC against former PFL champion Ray Cooper, 30.
It could set him up to enter the PFL’s season next year, where stars compete in a four-stage knockout format where $1m is up for grabs.
Brunson said: “I wanted something new, something to excite me, something to make me want to train really hard.
“I’d been in the UFC for so long and I felt it was the time to change and the PFL came about and now here we are.
“You’re not going to go out there and just lay down, that’s just silly but just being able to have a fresh start, new fighters, the $1million tournament, I can just start over.
“I can control my own destiny and that was a really big thing for me.”

Jake Paul says shock fight with boxing legend is ‘closer’ than people think as he names dream opponent

JAKE PAUL said his dream fight against one of boxing’s biggest superstars is “closer” than people think. The YouTuber-turned boxer suffered defeat for the first time in February, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury in Saudi Arabia.

But he bounced back with victory over MMA veteran Nate Diaz, 38, over ten rounds in August.
Now, Paul returns on December 15 against little-known professional boxer Andre August, who holds a record of 10-1-1.
The American insisted the bout marks the start of his ambitious road to challenging for a world title.
And also in his vision is four-division champion Canelo Alvarez, 33, who Paul, 26, believes he is closing in on an unlikely bout with.

He said on The MMA Hour: “Canelo has shown and said in interviews, he’s expressed interest in it. So, I think we’re closer than we think.
“And it’s bizarre to even be saying that now when like three years or two years ago saying that, I believed it from day one but everyone else was like, ‘Who the f*** is this kid? Shut this kid up.’
“But now, it’s like pretty real.”
Canelo has spoken out to confirm a fight with Paul is something he would consider once his career at the top of boxing is over.

He said on The Breakfast Club: “Yeah maybe, but not right now.
“For me, not right now because I’m chasing other things in my career but you never know, maybe later.”
Paul believes fighting boxers such as Fury, 24, and August, 35, will help him build towards a bout with Canelo.
And he admitted the Mexican has overtaken UFC icon Conor McGregor, 34, as his “dream” opponent.
Paul said: “Yeah for sure, it definitely has. I think the path that I’m on now tees me up in the future to fight Canelo.
“It’s even showing him that I can go ten or 12 rounds with you and I’ve done that with real legitimate pro boxers and beat them.
“So when I beat these guys in the year or two to come and continue to raise the level of competition, I think me versus Canelo becomes a really interesting fight.”

Paul, 26, is coming off the back of a ten-round points win over ex-UFC star Nate Diaz, 38, in August.
And both the American and the PFL have proposed a rematch in the cage.
But Diaz has so far seemed uninterested and instead wants a return in the boxing ring – claiming a deal was even agreed.
Paul has spoken out to deny this and insisted the rematch must take place in MMA – where he is set to debut in late 2024.

He told MMA Junkie: “I don’t know, I think they’re just begging. Pretty desperate, I guess.
“Wanting to make money but not actually wanting to make things happen.
“We’re ready, MMA, end of 2024, $10million (£8m), which is more than he’s ever made for an MMA fight – ever.
“He’s sitting there asking for more money basically drunk tweeting random s*** and random fight posters, making himself look like a fool.

“I just can’t comprehend what they’re trying to do or what they’re saying, but this is the fight game.
“Everyone says they want to do things, everyone calls people out, everyone blah, blah, blah, but no one actually makes s*** happen.
“And that’s what I’ve looked to change in this sport and to just provide transparency to my audience about what’s actually going on with these negotiations and not being afraid to fight anyone anywhere, anytime, any place.”
Paul returns on Friday, December 15 against 10-1-1 pro boxer Andre August, 35, but his PFL debut remains in the pipeline.
He said: “Yeah, 100 per cent.
“I’m going to start throwing knees and kicks and getting back to my Ohio Wrestling roots, shooting takedowns.
“I truly believe that he knows it would be a really tough fight for him, and I think that’s the thing for him where he’s like, ‘Damn, do I risk my whole MMA reputation by giving this kid a chance here?’”

KSI makes insane £1MILLION bet with Deji on Sidemen podcast as brothers shake on it in front of Eddie Hearn

KSI made an insane £1MILLION bet with his brother Deji in front of boxing promoter Eddie Hearn. Hearn joined KSI and Deji on the Sidemen podcast and the pair of YouTubers-turned boxers debated their physiques.
KSI made a £1m bet with his brother Deji in front of boxing promoter Eddie Hearn
KSI – who has been critical of his younger brother’s dedication to boxing before – then laid out a huge wager.
He offered to pay Deji £1m if he can get abs in one year’s time.
KSI, 30, said: “I will give you £1million to have abs by the end of next year.”
Deji, 26, then walked over to KSI to shake hands on the bet as Hearn asked whether it was an eight or six pack needed to win the bet.
    READ MORE ON KSI
KSI said: “We’ll give… nah six. I have to be able to see it. And like you can post it online, then everyone’s like, ‘Yes, he has abs.'”
Hearn, who has been on his own weight loss journey, chimed in: “But Deji, it can’t be like in the right light!”
The promoter worked with KSI for the celebrity’s 2019 professional boxing debut against Logan Paul.
They had drawn a year prior but KSI walked away with a split-decision victory in the rematch.

The two are now friends and business parters following the success of their drinks company Prime.
And they shared the same boxing card in October, with Paul, 28, beating jujitsu champion Dillon Danis, 30, who got disqualified.
But KSI was on the end of a controversial loss to Tommy Fury, 24, who also beat Paul’s brother Jake, 26, in February.
He is set to appeal the defeat and even Hearn on fight night believed he should have won.

One fan said “Back to the old YT boxing days, let’s go!”
This could be one for the ages…
    Joe Weller called out Behzinga
Joe Weller had some choice words for Sidemen star Behzinga before the main event kicked off.
He said he wants to bring back YouTube boxing, and wants to fight the dad of one at Wembley Arena.

    Room for improvement
It wasn’t such a great night for TikTok sensation Simple Simon, who was knocked out by comedian Dapper Laughs within the first round after two quick knockdowns.
Dapper Laughs however, he will be looking for another opponent, he will want to move up the ranks here and onto a main card before long.
    Fight of the night
Fight of the night has got to go to the finale, Jarvis vs BDave.
It was a spectacular fight, which saw Jarvis knock down his opponent within the first TEN seconds of the bout.
BDave however, did really well to come back from that and put on a good showing to see the fight out, and attack Jarvis himself.
It wasn’t quite enough however, as Jarvis walked away with the belt before calling out Alex Wassabi and Nichlmao.
    Credit: X – @MisfitsBoxing
Jarvis speaks out after his win
“I wanted to give the best fight I could and I did that”
“The adrenaline, I couldn’t feel it, he has probably got the hardest head I have ever hit.”
“Nichlmao, Alex Wassabi, if you’re watching let’s get it!”
Jarvis beats BDave by unanimous decision!
All three judges scored the bout 54-50 in favour of Jarvis!
BDave did really well regardless, and can be proud of that performance despite the loss.
    Who is next for Jarvis?
Jarvis vs BDave – Round 5
Into the final round now, as we get close to crowning a champion!
Both guys cardio is holding up nicely.
BDave has done incredibly well to recover from that first round knock down.
It goes the distance, surprisingly, and both fighters will be extremely proud of that performance.
Jarvis vs BDave – Round 4
A huge right hand from BDave in round four, and Jarvis is forced to fight here!
Jarvis has definitely managed the fight better than BDave, but the latter brings the entertainment factor without a doubt!
Jarvis hasn’t stung BDave as much lately as the fight progresses.
He does get a nice combination done though as the end!
Jarvis vs BDave – Round 3
This one is shaping up really nicely, I’m not sure BDave won that last round, but he definitely earned the respect of Jarvis there.
There is blood coming out of the nose of BDave, who is showing the heart of a warrior, and he comes in with a big shot too!
A fairly even third round there, a tough one to call.
Jarvis vs BDave – Round 2
What a first round, and we are into the second now.
I don’t see this one going the distance that is for sure.
BDave looks as though he might be making his way back into the fight, but then Jarvis opens up the hands and responds really well.
Jarvis vs BDave – Round 1
5x three minute rounds, the main event, HERE WE GO!
BDave is knocked down STRAIGHT AWAY!
    Within 10 seconds!
This is not looking good for BDave at all…
Jarvis lands another good right hand, and another.
Credit to BDave for staying competitive here.
    And now Jarvis…
He comes out to Kung-Fu Fighting!
    Another tune, fair play.
He has apparently been sparring Floyd Mayweather, so it is time to see what he has learned.
    Here comes BDave
Sweet Caroline is his walkout song, great choice, a classic.
He predicted a three round knockout, so let’s see what he has got in the locker.
    SWEEEET CAROLINE –
I’ll let you finish the rest at home…
    Joe Weller calls out Behzinga
Joe Weller is in the ring with Olivia Buzaglo, and he is calling out Behzinga!
    “Has anyone seen Behzinga?”
“Behzinga lets make this happen, Wembley Arena!”
    The main event is NEXT
    BDave against Jarvis.
This is the big one coming up next.
“I’m gonna knock him out in three rounds.” Says BDave.
Jully Poca beats Alaena Vampira by unanimous decision
It’s a deserved victory for Jully Poca over Alaena Vampira, she dominated that fight.
Full credit to Alaena, who would make a great opponent for Elle Brooke.
Alaena Vampira vs Jully Poca – Round 5
Poca looks a little uneasy at the start of this one, and Vampira is going for it in the last round.
Vampira needs to go for the knockout here if she stands a chance of winning it.
Poca is on her bike with 25 seconds to go.
    And it is all over!
It will go to the judges…
Alaena Vampira vs Jully Poca – Round 4
Alaena Vampira has come out fighting in the fourth round, and is gaining some confidence here!
Poca is just coming back with flurries when she gets within range, but that round might well be the first that Vampira has won.
Vampira is giving everything, but it looks like Jully Poca has got the power, and the win.
Alaena Vampira vs Jully Poca – Round 3
Jully is an absolute weapon when she lets her hands go, and she does so here, such power in those arms.
Vampira is showing that she can box, despite being 2-0 down so far.
Vampira has blood pouring out of her nose now, but she doesn’t care.
A great combo from Poca in that round, but Vampira is NOT giving up!
Alaena Vampira vs Jully Poca – Round 2
A great round for Poca in the second, and Vampira is likely going to need to come back from this.
They are shorter two minute rounds for women.
Alaena Vampira vs Jully Poca – Round 1
These two are at it from the get go!
A really fast start from Jully Poca, and Vampira may not have been expecting that!
    Here comes Jully Poca!
Another great walkout, and we are about to get underway!
    Alaena Vampira comes out!
    What an entrance that is!
Alaena walks out of a coffin like a true vampire, and she looks DANGEROUS.
