KSI’s fight with Alex Wassabi in doubt over reports YouTube star ‘injured’ weeks before showdown at O2

KSI’s fight against Alex Wassabi is now in doubt after the YouTube star picked up an injury. The bout between the two is due to take place on August 27, but an injury to Wassabi has thrown the fight into doubt.
KSI showed off a stunning body transformation ahead of the fight
Alex Wassabi will need to pull out of the fight if reports of his injuries prove correct
According to American YouTuber ‘Keemstar’, who hosts the YouTube news channel DramaAlert, Wassabi has picked up an injury in training.
He said: “Ladies and gentleman, this is breaking news. Wassabi is injured.
“Now I’ve heard two different injuries, I’ve heard concussions, I’ve heard a broken hand. It’s coming from a source from close to Wassabi’s camp.
“I have another source close to Wassabi’s camp. This is what is happening right now. I have double checked, I have crossed my t’s, dotted my i’s on this.

“Wassabi is injured. And there is a fear right now that he won’t be fighting KSI on August 27.”
British YouTuber and Musician KSI has not fought in the boxing ring since beating Logan Paul in 2019, and the pair now sponsor Arsenal with their drink PRIME.
Wassabi meanwhile, beat KSI’s younger brother Deji in March of this year.
Despite Wassabi’s potential injury, KSI will still fight on the day due to a replacement having already been lined up.

Keemstar added: “Will the event be cancelled? No.
“I can tell you for a fact the event will not be cancelled, though, because I talked to Misfits Boxing (the event organisers) months ago, and they’ve always said if someone pulls out of the fight they will be replaced.
“So I don’t think August 27 has any chance of ever being cancelled. But there is a chance we won’t see Alex Wassabi.”
KSI, 28, has undergone a stunning body transformation ahead of the fight, showing off a shredded figure in a post on social media.

Hasim Rahman Jr weighs in at 206lb despite Jake Paul fight cancellation and slams ‘SCARED’ YouTube boxing star

HASIM RAHMAN JR weighed in at 206.6lb despite his fight with Jake Paul being cancelled – and hit out at the YouTube star after. Rahman called for a late-notice weigh in at the famous Gleason’s boxing gym in New York in a bid to prove he could make 205lb.
Hasim Rahman Jr unofficially weighing in for his cancelled fight with Jake Paul
And after hitting the scales 1lb over, with SunSport in attendance, he said: “Stop being scared Jake.
“Stop being scared, look I’m right here at 206, clearly I could make 205. Give the people what they want.
“They wanna see us fight, they wanna see you in the ring with a real fighter, you’ve got a real fighter right here willing to make 205.
“Stop being scared and fight. It’s that simple.”

The son of heavyweight legend Hasim Sr was due to fight Paul this weekend at New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden.
But a weight disagreement between the two forced the entire Madison Square Garden pay-per-view to be scrapped.
Rahman, 31, signed to fight at the 14st 4lb cruiserweight limit of 200lb, despite being 16 stone in his last fight in April.
So the New York State Athletic Commission wanted to track his weight cut but later changed the fight weight to 205lb.

Paul then spoke out to claim Rahman refused the change and would scale no less than 215lb, prompting the MSG card to be axed.
But Rahman denied the allegations and staged the private weigh in as a result.
He still weighed in over the contracted weight but would have been given additional time by the commission to get down to 205lb.
Per Rahman’s initial deal, every 1lb would have resulted in losing 25 per cent of his purse and he was given a 10lb rehydration limit.

But the American claimed he would have accepted the penalty if necessary.
Rahman said: “I came in a pound over, you signed the contract to fine me 25 per cent, I’ll take the 25 per cent and do the rehydration the next day.”
