Jake Paul could get shock world boxing ranking by WBC… paving way for YouTube star to challenge for WORLD TITLE

JAKE PAUL is set to be considered for a world ranking by the WBC -which would pave the way for him to challenge for a world title. WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman announced Paul would earn himself a top 15 rating had he beaten heavyweight Hasim Rahman Jr in August.
Jake Paul could earn himself a WBC ranking by beating Anderson Silva
The bout eventually got scrapped amid a weight row with the YouTube star instead returning against Anderson Silva.
And Sulaiman revealed, with new rankings set to be unveiled soon, a win for Paul over the weekend could see him placed in the top 15.
He told Fight Hype: “Jake Paul has a record in professional boxing and he has been improving the level of opposition.
“Of course the WBC ratings committee is open to consider fighters for rankings considering all of the different variables which are activity, level of opposition, results and so on.

“So let’s see what happens Saturday. At the convention, the rankings will be addressed and the whole committee will meet.
“Twenty four people from all over the world meeting to come up with an official ratings for November, so we will keep an eye on Jake Paul to see what happens.”
Per the WBC’s rules, a fighter must be ranked within their top 15 for the right to challenge for their world title.
Meaning, if Paul, 25, beats Silva, 47, and is in fact placed in the ratings, he would be free to compete for a championship belt.

Paul last boxed in December, knocking out Tyron Woodley, 40, four months after beating the ex-UFC champion on points.
That added to KOs over online rival AnEsonGib, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson, 38, and retired UFC welterweight Ben Askren, also 38.
But Paul returns in Arizona in the biggest test of his career and drew comparisons to boxing greats Muhammad Ali and Floyd Mayweather.
Sulaiman said: “People did not like Muhammad Ali, half of the people that watched him wanted him to lose.
“They called him a traitor and all of these names, but today he is regarded as the greatest athlete in the history of humanity.
“Floyd Mayweather, a lot of people didn’t like to see him and wanted him to lose.
“People may want to see Jake Paul lose but they are going to tune in.
“It’s very easy to criticise and simply bully people in the cyberspace because of personal situations, but what Jake and Logan Paul have done is a miracle so let’s support them.”

Sidemen’s Tobi Brown breaks silence on Crawley Town FA Cup call-up backlash as he says ‘everyone needs to chill’

SIDEMEN star TBJZL has broken his silence after being handed an opportunity to star for Crawley Town in their upcoming FA Cup clash. Tobi, also known as TBJZL, could feature in Crawley’s FA Cup clash on November 5
However, fans online did not all meet the news with enthusiasm with some labelling the club a “joke,” which prompted a response from TBJZL.
He wrote on Twitter: “Everyone needs to chill though I’m just gonna join in with a training session.
“I (have) been a football fan my whole life, I know the importance of the FA Cup to players and fans alike so not trying to jeopardize that for anyone.
“Just putting more eyes on the club and showing support.”

TBJZL starred during the “Sidemen Charity Match” in September which saw the host ground – Charlton Athletic’s The Valley – sold out and reached a peak viewing audience of 2.5million on YouTube.
He combined with brother and fellow trialist Manny Brown for three of the eight goals team Sidemen scored in the 8-7 thriller – with Crawley scouts in attendance.
In their statement, Crawley revealed that Tobi, Manny and Jed Brown (all brothers) would join the club for training on November 1 and would be “further evaluated by coaches and staff”.
Tobi boasts a massive following of more than 13million across major platforms, while Manny himself also has a following of almost five million.

On the inclusion, Crawley Co-Chairman Preston Johnson said: “We’re excited to have Tobi, Manny and Jed joining us for training on Tuesday, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they can bring to the club.
“Depending on how they perform, we may extend offers to continue training with the lads on a trial basis and potentially compete for a spot on the bench for the Accrington Stanley match.
“As we’ve said before, it’s fairly unlikely they’d get on the pitch unless the game is well in hand, but we want to give them the opportunity to show Lewis (Young) and the staff what they can do in training and then go from there.”
The Red Devils currently sit 19th in League Two after a positive run which has seen them pick up seven points from their last three games.
The Sidemen group is made up of seven members and is Europe’s largest YouTube collective, with the largest member KSI a pioneer for the rise of YouTube boxing. More

His comeback fight comes after Tommy Fury, 23, and Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, both withdrew from fighting him in August.
Paul has become tired of bouts falling through and took aim at the lack of boxing stars willing to put their records on the line.
He said at the press conference: “Get these fights done, stop shooting yourself in the foot and being greedy.
“Give the people what they want, don’t look at every term in the contract and try to change it. Just f****ng fight.

“They are very cared to risk their undefeated records but boxing needs these big fights, don’t let your manager or promoter stop you.
“You’ve got to be in control.”
Joshua, 33, and Fury, 34, failed to agree terms to a December 3 blockbuster in Wales, much to Paul’s frustration.

He later told media: “It sucks for the fans, those are the ones that get hurt. It’s bad, this is why the sport has gone to bad places before.
“It’s gone to scary moments where you think the sport is end up dying out because big fights like this aren’t happening.
