Tyson Fury reveals he’s not a fan of YouTube boxing and says he ‘sees real fights at Morecambe boozers’

TYSON FURY says he’s not a fan of YouTube boxing – and has seen better fights down his local pub. The WBC heavyweight champion has praised the likes of KSI and Jake Paul for their crossover impact on the younger set of fans.

And his younger brother Tommy, 23, still remains linked with a celebrity grudge match against American Paul, 25.
But despite his admiration, Fury has no interest in the influencer fight scene.
He told True Geordie: “I’m busy in training for a real fight so I don’t watch all that YouTube stuff.
“Not that I’ve got anything against it, I think it’s great for the sport and the people who do it.

“[It’s] great for everybody but it’s not my cup of tea. If I want to see a real fight, I go down to a Morecambe boozer on a Friday night and I watch a fight.”
Fury, 34, returns on December 3 in a trilogy bout against Derek Chisora, 38, the man he beat in 2011 and 2014.
And podcast host True Geordie – real name Brian Davis – criticised the bout, due to the one-sided nature of the first two.
It led to Fury fuming: “No matter what you say, or what people like you want to say, about Derek Chisora, he’s achieved more in boxing and in fighting than 10 man like you could ever achieve.

“So I’m not just gonna let you sit here and slate somebody whose fought the best fighters of this era just because he’s lost a few fights.”
He then raged: “I think your a t****r you little t**spot and I won’t be doing anymore interviews with you.

Jake Paul backed to BEAT Nate Diaz by UFC legend Michael Bisping… who laughs off YouTuber’s callout of Canelo Alvarez

And following the fight the YouTuber-turned-boxer was quick to call out potential opponents for his next fight.
MMA stars Canelo Alvarez and Nate Diaz are both in his sights, with the latter in attendance for Paul’s victory.
A melee ensued backstage involving Diaz, with the 37-year-old filmed slapping a member of Paul’s entourage before being asked to leave the arena.
But speaking on his YouTube channel, Bisping warned ex-UFC Champ Diaz that a boxing fight at Paul’s weight would not end well for him.

He explained: “The majority of Nate Diaz’s fights have happened at 155(lbs), he was a lightweight.
“Then he went up to Welterweight 170lbs and he went 5-5, the only knockout he got was against Rory Markham in 2010. With boxing gloves on I don’t think it will be a good idea for Nate Diaz.
“Nate Diaz was a tremendous mixed martial artist. He beat some phenomenal people and had a tremendous career, you know he lost some fights and he won a lot of fights.
“The Jiu Jitsu would be gone, the kicking game is gone, just the general craftmanship and the game plans and the adversity of attacks; punches, kicks, knees, elbows, strangles, chokeholds, triangles, takedowns you name it, that’s what Diaz can do.

“Those are the advantages that he has over Jake Paul.
“If he was to fight Jake Paul and at that weight; 200lbs, 196lbs whatever they want to come in at – I don’t think it would go very well for Nate Diaz.”
While Bisping admitted he was wrong to dismiss Paul’s chances of beating Silva, he firmly told him to cool his interest in a fight with Alvarez.
He said: “I’m just going to say slow your roll on that one.

And following the session on Tuesday, the club have released snaps of them in training.
Tobi, also known as “TBJZL”, was put through his paces in hopes of impressing and making his FA Cup debut this weekend.
In an interview with Sky Sports he and his brother admitted the training was a step up.
The Sidemen star said: “(They have) much quicker pace. Much sharper as well than us, but that’s to be expected when you train everyday.

“The fitness was a big factor as well because I was blowing, I was breathing heavy. You know I haven’t played football in two-and-a-half months.
“These lot (his brothers) were a bit more fit than me because they play a bit more regularly but the level of fitness these boys have and the professionalism they show is crazy.
“And the best thing about it is they made us feel at home as well… lovely bunch of guys honestly, I can’t speak higher of them.”
Crawley sent scouts to watch the “Sidemen Charity Match” in September where Tobi and Manny starred – combining for three of the eight goals team Sidemen scored during the 8-7 thriller.

The match itself had a peak viewing figure of 2.5million on YouTube, on top of selling out Charlton Athletic’s stadium The Valley.
Ahead of the trial Tobi, who has almost 5m subscribers on YouTube and followings of 3.9m and 2.7m on Instagram and Twitter respectively, called for “everyone to chill” after backlash following the announcement.
He said: “Everyone needs to chill though I’m just gonna join in with a training session.
“I (have) been a football fan my whole life, I know the importance of the FA Cup to players and fans alike so not trying to jeopardize that for anyone.
“Just putting more eyes on the club and showing support.”

Jake Paul reveals prediction for Anderson Silva PPV buys with earnings of $18m but says he’ll only fight in summer now

JAKE PAUL could generate $18million in pay-per-view sales alone for his fight with Anderson Silva – if his estimations are correct. The YouTuber-turned boxer beat Silva last weekend in Arizona, marking the most legitimate win of his 6-0 career.
Jake Paul on his brother’s podcastCredit: @impaulsive
And he believes the bout will have brought in up to 300,000 PPV buys when it is all said and done.
That amount, priced at $60, means $18m (£15.6m) would have been made in box office receipts.
Paul said on his brother’s podcast: “I think it will go around 200-300,00 which is kind of upsetting.”
The American also revealed he will now target fights in the summer, having competed against Halloween, the World Series and the NFL.

He said: “This is the worst time of the year to fight, but guess what? I had to fight.
“All of my fights from now on will be in the summer, there’s no sports. There’s like this perfect gap in July/early August where there’s no sports.
“And by the way, all my others fights were during Covid when no one had anything to do or anything to watch.
“NFL was cancelled, NBA, nothing was on. I had to fight this year, I just had to get it f***** done, I’m sick of waiting around.”

Paul, 25, had not boxed since last December, when he knocked out ex-UFC champion Tyron Woodley, 40, in their short notice rematch.
Woodley only filled in, four months after losing on points, after Tommy Fury, 23, suffered a rib injury.
Fury rescheduled with Paul for August but was again withdrawn, this time amid a US visa issue.
Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, signed in replace but lightening struck twice as the bout was cancelled due to a weight disagreement.
So by the time Paul stepped foot in the ring against Silva, 47, it had been ten months since he had fought.

And on the week of the bout, it was thrown into doubt after the UFC legend claimed he was knocked out twice in sparring.
Silva admitted his words were lost in translation but the commission still held an emergency meeting, later passing the Brazilian fit to fight.
But Paul claimed the initial news of Silva’s fitness woes caused a negative impact on the PPV sales.
He said: “On the PPV buys thing, the pre-buys were going crazy, up, up, up.
“On Wednesday, when the news came out about Anderson, saying he got knocked out or whatever and the fight was in jeopardy and all this press came out, the pre-buys tanked all the way down.

“The general public sees that and is like, ‘Oh, it’s not happening.’ Tommy pulled out, Hasim pulled out. ‘Oh, Jake f***** Paul can’t get an event together, this is done.’

It improved his record to 6-0 and marked the first time he claimed victory over an opponent with prior professional boxing experience.
And it has also forced Paul to think twice about his previous goal of leaving the sport at 10-0.
He said on The MMA Hour: “My brother says that I should retire and leave the world and leave people with their jaws dropped, but I’m not going to do that.
“I have exceeded my own expectations but this is just the start, man.

“I am really starting to get good and there are a lot of people I want to beat and I want to be a world champion.
“Initially, I was like ‘I’ll go 10-0 and then retire’, but now I’m 6-0 and it’s like I’m just getting warmed up, so who knows what ends up happening?”
The big criticism that remains for Paul, 25, is not having yet fought a seasoned boxer.
Tommy Fury, 23, has twice pulled out in the past while Hasim Rahman Jr, 31, was also withdrawn amid a weight row.

Fury, who was unable to fight amid a rib injury and US visa issue, remains on the cards for next year in the UK or Middle East.
Although Paul warned he will not be forced into fighting anyone.
He said: “I feel like definitely professional boxer is the No1 criticism, but again, anyone that is smart knows that Anderson Silva is a real professional boxer, and just beat a former world champion.
“So I don’t know. But at this point, I’m just going to do whatever the f*** I want, and fight whoever is willing and ready to show up.”

Jake, however, ended up trading blows with Mayweather and his bodyguards before his brother at a pre-fight press conference.
And he’d like to settle the score with Money once and for all, telling MMA Fighting: “It would be interesting, still, to actually fight Floyd, though, in an actual professional bout.”
Jake, 25, reckons the grudge match would do big business if Mayweather came out of professional retirement to take the bout.
He continued: “First of all, that’s still a big fight and still a massive, massive draw.

“And if it was an actual pro match, I think people would be super, super interested.”
Despite the huge weight and age discrepancy between the pair, Jake is confident the bout would be sanctioned.
The former Disney star said: “He fought my brother and Logan was weighing 190lbs.
“I could get to 175lbs and Floyd could weigh 165lb and a commission would approve that.”

Mayweather, 45, never came close to tasting defeat in his professional career – which he closed out in August 2017 with a tenth-round TKO victory over UFC star Conor McGregor.
But Jake firmly believes he has what it takes to put the first blemish on the legend’s record.
He said: “I just know that I would win. i would love to take his O.

‘I lose faith in my generation’ – Jake Paul responds to fight fix claims after beating UFC legend Anderson Silva

Jake Paul responded to allegations of ‘rigging’ his fight with Anderson Silva
But keyboard warriors took to social media to suggest Paul fixed the fight while others discredited the result due to Silva’s age.
Paul, 25, said on The MMA Hour: “I think smart people with intelligence are giving me props and respect.
“Like the WBC President [Mauricio Sulaimán] saying that anyone who says Jake is not a real boxer is just bitter and is a hater.
“People like Teddy Atlas showing me mad respect, a lot of fighters showing me mad respect, a lot of MMA guys texting me saying, ‘You look really sharp, that was the best you’ve fought.’

And after beating Silva, 47, in the most legitimate victory of his 6-0 career, the American found himself in the exact same spot.
Paul said: “I lose faith in my generation and my peers, and us as a society and a world when I see that type of stuff and that type of stupidity.
“It just sucks. It sucks because I worked so hard for this.
“I dedicate everything, sacrifice everything, every single day, bust my balls, have a 15-person team working around the clock to help me become the best boxer possible, and when I do something like beating Anderson Silva, they try to take it away from me.
