Fury, 23, becomes the first opponent Paul, 26, will face with a recognised professional boxing record.
And he has boasted of beating better opposition than the American when he was just a teenager.
Fury had only 12 amateur bouts but did pick up development championships during that short period.
In 2016, he reached the National Association of Boys and Girl Clubs final in the North West Region.

And he went on to beat Mehran Khan, later turning professional in 2018.

And Fury vowed to teach Paul a lesson as he boasted of holding the superior boxing experience when they faced off.
He said: “I’ve beaten better people than you when I was 14 in the amateurs. I will school you. I’m not an MMA guy.
“I was beating people better than you when I was 14, when you was messing about on Disney Channel, so don’t come round here pretending you’re about it when you’re not.”

He told iFL TV: “When he beats Jake Paul I’d like to see him fight the brother Logan.
“If not Logan there may be a British celebrity boxing match like KSI, maybe. I was going to say another guy, but they’re all a bit smaller.”
KSI, 29, twice boxed Logan, 27, drawing their initial exhibition before winning their rematches as pros in 2019.
He has since won three more times, most recently knocking out YouTuber Faze Temperrr, 29, in January.

Logan is yet to make a boxing return since taking American legend Floyd Mayweather, 45, the distance in the June 2021 exhibition.
But brother Jake, 26, is now 6-0 but faces his first opponent with a recognised boxing record in Tommy, 23.
It is the THIRD time they look to settle the score after Tommy pulled out in the past amid injury and visa issues.
They put bragging rights, reputations and unbeaten records on the line on January 26 in Saudi Arabia.

And Tommy is set to ignore brother Tyson’s advice as he plans to return to traditional boxing after his celebrity grudge match.
He said to BT Sport: “At the end of the day, all of these lucrative fights that are out there, I’ll clear up.
“But my soul goal since starting boxing has always been the same it’s to be a world champion.
“And I do believe I’ve got what it takes to be there and get to that level.
“I do believe everyone writes me off because of Love Island, there’s a lot of jealousy and a lot of stuff going on.
“I’m going to beat him and put and end to him once and for all.
“Then guess what? I’m going to get back on my route, win some titles and go down in history.
“Then, I’ll bob my hat and I’ll leave the sport. That’s my goal.”

He told InsideFighting: “You gotta have a dog in you. He ain’t got no dog in him. I’ve watched him fight. He doesn’t even finish his punches.

“He doesn’t have that f***ing mentality when he gets in the game, I think he’s blinded. He’s got that deer in the headlights, but at least he throws.”
Paul, 26, beat UFC legend Anderson Silva, 47, in his last fight in October, his biggest win to date.
But Rockhold, 38, mocked the victory and called to fight the American after mutually parting with the UFC.
