      Despite Tommy previously claiming he would move on to fight “proper boxers” after the Paul fight, WBC champ Tyson has encouraged his brother to carry on fighting social media stars for the time being.
      Speaking after the fight, Fury said: “He did a fantastic job. The world media, the world’s biggest stars, [all] came to see it. It was fantastic.
      “I expected Tommy to knock him out, to be quite honestly quite comfortably, but Jake was better than I thought he’d be, so fair play to Jake Paul.
      “I’m very happy. You can’t get knockouts all the time.

      “I’m 33 and 0 with 22 knockouts. So, you don’t get a knockout every time, but it’s a learning experience.
      “Jake Paul was a very worthy opponent and he had to come through some obstacles like falling over in round eight and getting up and fighting on.
      “Nah, he’ll (Tommy) be headlining now forever. I’d like to see him fight a rematch with Jake Paul and fight Logan, his brother.”
      Thanks to his win former Love Island star Tommy improved to a 9-0 boxing record.

      Astrid attempted to kiss YouTuber KSI during her boxing weigh-in and was awkwardly swerved by him.
      Her foe Keeley, 18, is known for her TikTok videos rising to fame alongside her dad Simple Simon.
      And the model said during a heated exchange that her rival’s father Simon: “Wanted me to be your stepmum.”
      Keeley accused Astrid of having a boyfriend anyway shouting: “I bet no one knew that, I bet no one knew that.”

      Astrid has now admitted the incident “was so bad” as she revealed all about it during an appearance on the LowIQPod podcast.
      She said: “I was so annoyed at myself as it literally happened in the moment.
      Nobody knew [KSI had a girlfriend] until recently. 
      I was like ‘why have I just done that?’ I had to play it off and laugh but then I thought that it would get received so badly.
      “I wouldn’t say I regret it but I was just worried about how it would be perceived. I did apologise. 
      “Now, whenever I go to boxing events, everyone is like ‘try not to kiss anybody.’ And I’m like ‘I won’t!’”

      Despite scoring a knockdown in the eighth and final round, Paul didn’t do enough to win on two out of three of the judges scorecards.
      Paul claims he scooped up just over £24million for the fight.
      The Problem Child is said to have a rematch clause – but Matchroom Boxing chief Hearn says Paul should fight KSI instead while taking a subtle swipe.

      Hearn is no stranger to YouTube/influencer boxing having helped promote KSI and Logan Paul’s second fight.
      Unlike Paul, KSI is yet to be beaten having competed in six fights.
      The Brit’s last win came via knockout in January against Thomas Oliveira.
      Former WBC heavyweight champion, Deontay Wilder, believes Paul did enough to beat Fury.
      The former heavyweight champion, who came face-to-face with Tyson Fury – the man who dethroned him – while in the Middle East, told Fight Hub TV: “I think Jake got that one.
      “It was an immature point. The referee is supposed to give him at least three warnings. He gave him no warnings.”
      Asked again if Paul should have won, he replied: “I think so. With the knockdown, he sealed it. He got that point taken away.
      “I think Jake Paul needed that knockdown, and when he did, it evened it out. I think he only gave it to Fury because of the point taken.” More

      Fury secured a £4m purse for the blockbuster showdown in the Middle East.
      But he could have walked away with £8m had he taken up Paul’s offer during the week.
      Paul rocked up with a contract for Fury to sign after they had previously shaken on a double-or-nothing bet that would either see the Brit take home £8m or be left empty-handed.
      However, Fury ultimately refused to put pen to paper as he held on to his agreed £4m payday.

      He then went on to outbox Paul, surviving a late knockdown to secure the win on two of the three judges’ scorecards.
      And his victory meant he actually ended up leaving £4m on the table due to the bet refusal.
      But Fury was not the only one in his family to lose big on the fight.
      World heavyweight champion Tyson, 34, laid down £100,000 on his brother winning inside the distance.

      On the other side of the fence, rapper Drake ended the night $400,000, or roughly £330,000, lighter after lumping on Paul.
      But, rather than the financial gain, it was overcoming the huge pressure that pleased Fury the most following his win.
      He said: “I feel a weight is lifted. Me and Jake fought and I came out the clear winner.
      “I believe you will be able to see a gulf in class when you watch the fight back.
      “But listen take nothing away from Jake Paul he is a game lad, but I believe I can stop him in the rematch.”
      Paul has claimed he will trigger the rematch clause as he looks to avenge the first loss of his professional career. More

      However, he didn’t seem too phased by the result when he took to social media just hours later to reveal how much money he made from the event.
      Paul posted a video on his Instagram story of himself switching from fake-crying to laughing with a caption that read: “When you lost but made $30m.”
      The social media superstar proposed a huge winner-takes-all wager ahead of Sunday’s fight.

      But while Fury verbally accepted the deal on stage during the pre-fight press conference, he refused to sign the contract when it was handed it to him in a later interview with his dad, John Fury, insisting that it was checked over by lawyers first.
      Paul later revealed that his opponent had not signed the agreement at all.
      Had Fury put pen to paper, he would have DOUBLED his purse following Sunday’s win while Paul walked away empty handed.
      Instead, the YouTuber, who has over 20million subscribers, took $30m (£25m) from the event.

      After the fight, Paul suggested that the reason behind his defeat was an illness.
      He said: “I felt flat, I got sick really bad twice in this camp. It wasn’t my best performance.
      “But I lost, I’m not making any excuses, I’ll just say it wasn’t my best performance tonight.
      “Like I said, we’re going to come back and get that W. Don’t judge me by my wins, judge me by my losses. We’re going to come back stronger.” More

      One thing it certainly was not was a springboard into serious boxing bouts or even domestic titles.
      These handsome, rich and successful young men can do almost anything they want to. But mixing it with legitimate fighters – past, present or future – is beyond them.
      Paul, the American 26-year-old master marketeer who promised to beat Mexican ring legend Canelo Alvarez after dealing with Fury, bumped his thinning thatch on the ceiling he hit with a split decision loss.
      Fury, the 23-year-old little brother of Tyson who charmed us on Love Island, has always been more modest but suffered from his pushy father’s bluster about being another world champion in the gene pool.

      But neither of these brave, fit, strong and popular social media stars will ever win a genuine boxing belt on merit.
      Any Area or English champion currently competing around their weight – while struggling to make a living and almost all juggling a 9-5 manual job on the side – would wipe the floor with either of them.
      The grasping WBC sanctioning body might invent more glittery straps for Fury and Paul to grapple over.
      But the absolute myth that these men could ever lace the boots of – let alone compete with – bonafide boxers is now, thankfully, firmly in the bin.

      Former super-middleweight world champ Carl Froch – one of the names Paul ridiculously tried to call out – summed it up with typically ruthless precision.
      After the split decision sparked Fury’s tears, the Cobra spat: “It might not shut him up for long, but Jake Paul can’t call himself a professional boxer because he’s gone in against a novice pro and got absolutely whooped.
      “Tommy got a thoroughly deserved win against a really basic, hapless Jake Paul.
      “Tommy’s done professional boxing purists a massive favour by shutting up Jake Paul.
      “He can’t call himself a professional boxer because he’s gone in against a novice pro and got absolutely whooped. He got obliterated.”

      Paul can activate a rematch clause, if he decides against it then Fury is free to explore a bout with fellow Englishman and internet phenomenon KSI.
      For risking their giant followings and youthful good looks, these men deserve credit. But the blurring of the lines between YouTube boxing and real boxing now has to stop.
      These clashes might be classed as professional boxing bouts but they generate much more money and a lot less quality than the real thing. More

      Fury last year held tentative talks to fight Woodley, who was twice beaten by Paul.
      And the ex-UFC welterweight champion, 40, remains popular among fans, leading to calls for him to carry on boxing.
      Woodley is a proven pay-per-view attraction, which could help muster interest in a fight with Fury.
