    Misfits show begins in farce as Godson refuses to enter ring for opening bout in front of Telford crowd

    SATURDAY night’s Misfits boxing show began in chaos as one fighter failed to ringwalk for the opening bout.Godson was set to take on Tempo Arts in the first fight of the evening.

    But after Tempo Arts had walked to the ring, Godson was nowhere to be seen.
    The YouTuber’s music played three times but he failed to emerge as the crowd were left baffled.
    Following a 10-minute wait, he eventually emerged flanked by hip hop duo Krept and Konan.
    And the fight got underway shortly after 7pm as those inside Telford’s International Centre were finally treated to some action.

    But it did not last long.
    Tempo Arts was well on top and came close to a stoppage by the end of the first round.
    And before the second got underway, Godson was pulled out as he had dislocated his shoulder.
    Among the other fights on the card include Astrid Wett vs AJ Bunker and Jay Swingler vs Nichlmao.

    Misfits have eight more shows planned for this year.
    The organisation are set to take their events to a host of different countries, starting in New Orleans, USA on April 22.

    As speculation mounts over whether the pair might meet in a rematch, Paul took to Twitter to post a self-deprecating video.
    The 26-year-old can be seen wearing thick gloves as he attempts to seal up several FedEx boxes.
    He wears a determined look on his face and doesn’t acknowledge the camera once as he goes to work in the 10 second long video.
    Paul captions the clip “professional boxer”.

    Fans on social media were loving the YouTuber taking the mick out of himself.
    One said: “This is the first time I’ve ever liked a Jake paul tweet. Nice one.
    Another said: “Nah but this is actually funny.”
    Paul and Fury finally got it on in the ring after years of animosity before the pair.

    The 23-year-old, the brother of WBC heavyweight champion Tyson, boxed a perfect fight to earn a split decision victory in the Diriyah dust-up.
    Despite outclassing Paul, Fury agreed to have a rematch with the American – who had a clause placed in his contract for a second bout if he came up short.
    And he’s confident he’ll go one better the next time they share the ring.
    During an appearance on Good Morning Britain, he said: “The rematch is something that I’m definitely wanting because I believe in the rematch I will stop him.

    “You know [in] the first fight I’ve never been eight rounds before so you’re just a bit weary of what’s in your tank and how the fight is going to go.
    “But I’ve now been in the ring with him once, I know what to expect.”
    Brother Tyson was ringside for Tommy’s big night and was blown away by his performance under a huge amount of pressure.

    Speaking on the programme, Fury has now confirmed his intention to face off against the YouTuber-turned-boxer once again.

    TNT emerged victorious over The Problem Child in the grudge match in Saudi Arabia via a split decision from judges.
    It saw Fury improve to a 9-0 record, while Paul had his first loss in professional boxing inflicted on him to move to a 6-1 record.
    Tommy’s big brother Tyson Fury also believes a rematch is the way forward for him.

    John Fury, father to Tommy and Tyson, took to social media to demand Paul honours his end of the alleged deal.
    But Paul has hit back, claiming both Tommy and John refused to sign the deal.
    In response, Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian, said: “Dear John – congratulations on the win.

    Fury, 23, silenced The Problem Child with a split-decision victory in the Diriyah dust-up and earned himself a spot in the prestigious WBC rankings.
    In a fight recap video, the Mexican governing body said: “‘With this win, Fury will be ranked in the World Boxing Council’s cruiserweight division, improving his record to 9-0, with 4 knockouts.”
    Boxing purists were left aghast at the confirmation of Fury’s spot in the rankings, with one asking: “Well that’s a bit much, isn’t it?
    Another said: “Giving either Jake Paul or Tommy Fury a WBC ranking is like giving a champions league spot to the winner of Soccer Aid.”
