      Jake Paul ready to ‘snub Tommy Fury rematch to face Floyd Mayweather as part of three-fight plan including KSI’

      JAKE PAUL is said to be leaning towards a fight with Floyd Mayweather next instead of rematching Tommy Fury. The YouTuber-turned boxer was beaten for the first time in seven professional bouts when he lost a split-decision to Fury.

      Paul has maintained he would exercise his rematch clause with early indications it would be eyed for July.
      But just weeks after his loss, the American was involved in a street altercation with Mayweather outside a Miami Heat game.
      Paul later called out the boxing legend to settle the score in the ring in a sanctioned bout and not an exhibition.
      Now YouTube reporter Keemstar has claimed sources say Mayweather is the top of his wishlist to fight next.

      A rematch with Fury and grudge match against KSI then follow in that order as a part of a three-bout plan.
      Paul’s feud with Mayweather dates back to the summer of 2021 when he stole the 50-0 icon’s hat at a press conference, sparking a mass brawl.
      A month later, brother Logan, 27, would go the eight-round distance in his exhibition with Mayweather.
      The five-weight world champion officially retired in 2017 after beating UFC superstar Conor McGregor, 34.

      But he has continued to box in exhibition bouts ever since, recently completing his sixth one.
      But Paul, 26, has no interest in facing Mayweather, 46, unless it is in a professional capacity with their records on the line.
      He tweeted: “Floyd will not see me 1 on 1 in a real fight. That’s a fact. His team has hit my team numerous times to do one of his “exhibitions”.
      “Now he ambushes me. Come see me in the ring, real fight, no exhibition robbing fans bulls***.”
      Keemstar’s report comes after Paul cryptically tweeted: “Options.”
      Fury, 23, is open to a rematch with his celebrity boxing rival, having edged out on points in Saudi Arabia.
      Meanwhile, Paul was in line to finally face KSI at the end of the year but those plans took a hit following his defeat.
      KSI, 29, is set to return himself on May 13 with in London against millionaire businessman-turned 9-0 boxer Joe Fournier, 40.

      A double-or-nothing bet was proposed and a contract was even drafted up to make the wager official.
      But Paul, 26, later said Tommy, 23, refused to put pen to paper on the bet for the fight the American later lost via split-decision.
      Tommy and his dad John both spoke out to ask the YouTuber-turned boxer to honour the deal, believing they had a handshake agreement.
      But John was forced to delete social media videos after Paul and his manager pointed out that they refused to officially sign on the bet.

      Speaking on his brother Logan’s podcast, Paul said: “Everyone sees through it and is calling them out on it, so much so that John Fury deleted the tweets.”
      Footage on the night also showed John being confronted over the bet – with Tommy’s dad refusing to acknowledge it.
      Logan said: “John Fury was watching you [Jake] getting your hands wrapped and Brandon [cameraman] was f***ing antagonising him and he goes ‘Hey, about that contract, about the purse, why didn’t you guys sign it? Why didn’t you guys return it?
      “And John Fury just cowers into a little ball and goes, ‘Let’s talk about boxing, mate. We’ll focus on boxing now.’

      “And I’m just in the background like stunned because I’ve just seen this dude, in real time, show his hand. They weren’t willing to actually sign the contract.
      “And then, after the fight when they won, now they’re talking about being gypsies, how they can’t read and write, and expect you to pay up on something that they 1000 per cent wouldn’t have if you had won the fight.”
      John claimed that a handshake between his son, himself and Paul was enough to have the bet honoured after the fight.
      He said: “Jake Paul, moment of truth, again I say it.
      “You lost the fight, we had a deal in front of millions of people worldwide, I expect you to honour that deal. You owe us some money.
      “Don’t come back to us with contracts and all that bullc***. I’m a gypsy, I can’t read and write properly and I don’t understand that.
      “We were over to do a job, we did it and I’m sure you’ll be a great guy and honour what you’ve done.”

      Fury edged out a split-decision in Saudi Arabia and esteemed British coach Shane McGuigan claimed Paul’s shortcomings were laid bare.
      McGuigan told Boxing King Media: “Of course he was the rightful winner.
      “I said it – fundamentals is what wins the fight and I think that’s what the outcome was.

      “Whether it was me coaching him doing it or his dad or anyone. It’s just move your feet, offset him.
      “Jake Paul leaves his leg behind him, he throws big wide punches, he relies on his power and it was tactically a very easy fight to get right.
      “He got clipped once or twice and he held up well, and that was always gonna be the issue is how well does he take a shot.
      “He seemed to take them quite well.”

      Footage obtained TMZ shows Paul being goaded with Mayweather also appearing in the shot, flanked by his team.
      Eventually, Paul sprints away and took to social media to explain his side of the story.
      He tweeted: “Floyd if you want to fight 1 on 1 we can do that but don’t try to hop out of 3 cars 25 dudes deep tryna to jump me while I’m tryna enjoy my Wednesday night.”
      But KSI, 29, responded: “Did you just have another wet dream?”

      The roast is in response to Paul, 26, claiming a wet dream the night before his fight with Tommy Fury, 23, contributed to his defeat.
      He said on his brother’s podcast: “I literally woke up in a panic like ‘F***.’ Right after you wake up and jolt out of it.
      “You have two weeks of testosterone build up and the reason a wet dream happens is because your body needs to release that energy and yeah, I f****d myself.
      “That’s why it’s bad is because it makes your legs weak, because the sperm is stored in your legs.”

      Paul was on vacation in Miami following his first loss in the ring when he was confronted by Mayweather.
      His feud with the boxing legend, 46, started two years ago, before his brother Logan’s June 2021 exhibition with Mayweather.
      The self-proclaimed “Problem Child” stole Mayweather’s cap at a press conference, sparking a mass brawl.
      Paul believes the bad blood is still brewing from that day as he gave his side after being captured running away from the row in Florida.
      He said: “So I’m leaving the Miami Heat game and Floyd Mayweather and 50 dudes pull up out of nowhere.
      “Out of some like side alley waiting for me outside of this stadium. And they’re like, ‘So, what’s up? What’s all that talk now?’
      “I’m like, first of all what did I say to you Floyd? I just took your hat and you’re still mad about it? Come on, bro.
      “And then like 50 dudes literally start surrounding me to try and jump me, I’m out that bitch.

      TOMMY FURY claimed he is not in boxing for the money as he talked down future crossover fights – despite rumours of a Jake Paul rematch. Fury – who shot to household fame for his 2019 stint on Love Island – has spent the last two years feuding with YouTuber-turned boxer Paul.

      But he looks to have buried their rivalry in the Saudi Arabia desert after edging out a split-decision win in their grudge match.
      Fury is said to have made around £3-4million for the pay-per-view fight, which included the option to rematch if Paul was beaten.
      The likes of YouTube superstar KSI have also since called out the younger brother of world heavyweight champion Tyson.
      Fury admitted he is taking future celebrity bouts into consideration… but favours the traditional boxing route.

      He said on BT Sport’s Chatterbox: “It’s definitely something that’s crossed my mind but it always leads me back to why I got into boxing after what happened in the fight.
      “I’m not in boxing for money anymore because you know I don’t live the most extravagant lifestyle, I don’t live on yachts I don’t buy all these fancy things and I’m not really interested in that. 
      “I’ve got a car, I’ve got a place to put my head down at night and I’ve got a family and that does me.”
      Paul, 26, has confirmed he will exercise his rematch clause, which is being eyed for the summer.

      That would mean Fury, 23, will have to once again shelve his goals of winning world titles, despite wanting to be remembered as “a proper boxer”.
      He said: “The money now is not really important. I’m in boxing for my name to go down in history.
      “I’ll be in boxing because it’s a passion of mine and I’ll always revert back to being that old man and saying, ‘Did I really give it my best shot?’
      “Because I know if I give it my best shot my name can go down in history. I can achieve winning one world title belt because there’s a lot worse men than me who have done it and I’ve got the drive and determination to get me there.
      “I’m still eager to learn, win titles and go down as a proper boxer. I don’t want to be known as one of these guys who made a lot of money fighting idiots and then retired and left the sport. 
      “I want to be remembered as Tommy Fury, ‘He made great money fighting YouTube stars and then stuck to boxing and retired with a world title’. That’ll be happiness for me and I will achieve it.”
